Home Affairs Deputy Minister Misheck Bonshe dies in Nigeria.

Share

HOME Affairs Deputy Minister Misheck Bonshe has died. Home Affairs Minister Lameck Mangani, who confirmed the death of Mr Bonshe in an interview, said Mr Bonshe, who was Mufumbwe Member of Parliament, died in Nigeria yesterday.

Mr Mangani described the death of Mr Bonshe as shocking and that his contribution and service to the nation would be missed.

He said the Government was making arrangements to bring the body back home, and that the nation would be informed once the arrangements had been finalised.

Mr Bonshe left for Nigeria last week on Tuesday after he asked for permission to travel to that country for prayers.

MMD spokesperson Dora Siliya said the death of Mr Bonshe was sad and that he would be missed by the party, Parliament and his constituency.

  1. How come Dora is issuing a statement? She’s the MMD spokesperson and not Government.
This political prostitution leaves me wondering

  2. mwaona manje ,exit morning side clinic enter TB Joshua prayers, now the govt will have to spend on bringing the body back,MMD at its best.Bonshe and Teta fell sick almost at the same time RIP.Ndipo kuzankala vuto ku eastern province-2 by elections within a short time

  3. Surely a waste of resources (public or personal). “(Mr Mangani described the death of Mr Bonshe as shocking…….)”
People of Zambia should be more civilised in this age that a sick/ill person can only be cured by medicine whether traditional or conventional and not prayers.
The Nigerian pentecostal reverends are walking all the way to their banks laughing at how foolish people can be.
Now the government has to spend tax payers’ money to trasport the cargo- This is shocking.

  4. At the end of the story there is related News ans the top one is Home Affairs Deputy Minister Bonshe stable

Ah Imwe bantu so it is true that stable in Zambia means about to die? I never believed until now. Hmmm MHSRIP.

Please guys let mourn first, some of you have already started counting seats we can grab. Bola panshi guys. Tuli pa chililo guys

And why did he go to Nigeria anyway ..don’t we have great Pastors in Zambia? Our own Bish op Joshua “Expensive cell phone Bling” Banda and Reverand Dan “Man of Gold and multiple marriages” Pule

  5. Death is always painful whichever way one looks at it. My condolences to the familly. MHSRIP

  6. Condolences to the Bonshe family. God has designed a specific time for everyone to die which includes time, place, cause of death, people present, situation etc. Its very bad to condemn prayers, what we must all ask is for govt to update us how the minister died, was it during prayers or before seeking prayers. Lets note be too quick to speculate that prayers where from TB Joshua. Be careful to whom your fingers are pointing to. It is God who heals and not TB Joshuah.

  7. #5 I think you should read the bible more often to know that its not only medication which can cure an illness. I have seen illnesses being cured by TB Joshua and other men of God.

  8. it is time goverment official started undergoing medical tests before appointments. If we are asking for presidential candidates to have a degree, ministers need to be at least fit for duty. How many near dead cabinets are there? we cant keep burying officials like this, it is expensive

  9. Condolences to the bereaved family.

As for “… who was Mufumbwe Member of Parliament … “, pull up your socks MMD as the mighty UPND Team prepares to take another MP seat since its partner in the UPND-PF PACT PF is obliged to support UPND in this coming MP by-election.

The only impressive thing is that the mighty UPND unter the visionary leadership of president HH is likely to grow stronger in Parliament if they win both the Milanzi and now upcoming Mufumbwe MP by-elections.

    Careful PF and PF cadres.

Have a great day as we mourn the MP man we have lost and be blest all.

  12. N# 20 Walai,
What type paper do you use inga ulechilola? Nwspaper or Khark paper? You even become very quite after kubbaila. Nikwata ilkali gomola

  13. According to Dora Siliya, the so-called MMD spokesperson, the late minister will only be missed by the MMD, Parliament and his constituency, the rest of the Zambian nation are excluded. I wonder, was the late deputy minister not a leader for the entire nation? Sincere condolences to his family.

  14. #5 and #11
Read the Bible cautiously and you will find that nobody in the Bible was cured using traditional/conventional medicnes. Midicnes donot cure at all. They give a relief and supresses (makes the germs weak) When the germs are weakened, they are not killed and hence the disease never cured. Bonshye was diseased beyond redemption. See LT article of September 28th, 2009 you can see that this man has been CLINICALLY dead. Esther Nakawala died on the plane on her way to Nigeria too.
This man grab a lady (wife) from Mr Banda who is a driver for the DC in Solwezi. The former DC and losing MMD candidate for Solwezi Central Albert Chifita knows all these details.
Hon Bonshye is the owner of Remmy Guest House opposite Matero Police station.GO TO HELL HON BONSHYE. FTJ will find you soon

  15. MHSRIP. Let us learn to pray amongst ourselves bane. Any way, i cant blame him. Going for prayers kuli reverend Shikapwashya would be a disaster, pantu rev kuti alala in the middle of the prayers!

  16. I don’t get it, you fly all the way to Nigeria for prayers with a sack-full of money because God is a Nigerian, what a load of nonsense. Yes the bible says ‘if anyone of you is ailing ask your brethren to pray with you’ and it ends there. I will continue later, am going out.

  17. This must be the biggest joke of the year, ati “permission to travel to Nigeria for prayers” What nonsence is this, why did he not go Reverend Shikapwasha for prayers? Well, maybe the Gen. is too sleepy to invoke the healing powers of Christ so he had to go to a stinking Nigerian Sangoma who administered a lethal dose that make the ***** kick the bucket. Anyway, kupusa, if they could not cure their dying President Yar’Adua dying, how could they cure Bonshe? Anyway, its another by-election, this time he will again promise someone their Kunda’s job. No wonder the red-lipped snake is going beserk.

  18. Nayamba Kuyopa ma Overnite prayers Ka. Aaaah. Condolescenses to Mr. Bonshe’s family. Sad state of affairs. He was in UTH and the Govt., used to say he is stable. How he found himself in Nigeria is a puzzle.

Aaah death surely is a mystery. The PACT will get Mufumbwe. Bert Mushala and the others get organised we get this seat.

  19. He hardly eats and he looks skeletal-like an AIDS patient in the asymptomatic stage of the disease. This is the reason the first lady has prevented so many people-even Goodluck Jonathan from seeing the man. The team of medical doctors from Saudi Arabia have been trying their very best to revive the dying leader to no avail. On the other hand, it can be revealed that some close aides of the President have suggested that the first lady invites a controversial Nigerian pastor and healer, one T.B Joshua, to heal the ailing president. The man in question, T.B Joshua, a Christian televangelist with a cult-like following has been widely accused by critics of using satanic powers to bring healing to people with all sorts of complicated sicknesses and diseases.

Close Muslim friends of the ailing president have been urging his wife to invite the man of God to try healing the president.

  21. How can a country get so obsessed with politics that they lose all sense of empathy. What kind of people have we become, where all that matters is who will win what seat and who will lose it. Is political campaigning all that matters in Zambia now. There have to be people to do engineering, some to do teaching and others to do proffessions that keep a country going. Does it have to be only politcs. Or are we the type of people who become jealous when some one gets a little fame.

  22. I wonder why he was given permission to go for prayers in Nigeria. He was foolish. You mean Zambia has no good pastors. Chineke nawowu OOO!!!! They chopped his dollars. He was a mugu. De 419 OOO!!!

  23. The other problem is that these charismatic pastors are too rough during prayers. The Pastors pushes Bonshe roughly to the ground, shouting “Heal!!”. Obviously, the effect is quite the opposite. Te kufwa fye nomba??:-w

  24. It’s a sad news, had a family and friends who used to depend on him, we must all feel for the family. It’s surprising that even with so many churches in our country, there’s no one who could pray like our brothers do in Nigeria? Lets have faith in God and people

  25. Shame on the passing of this man surely pastor Frederick Chiluba’s prayers could not prayer for the man or may his (chiluba) prayers are to corrupt and short.

  26. #38 Lili,

If you did Geograhy, you must have failed to the least. If you never did this subject I forgive you for the dull posting on this blog. Mufumbwe is is 182 kms from Solwezi and 406kms before Zambezi. It must also be mentioned that there is Kabompo in between these remote towns on the famous uncompleted M8 road(Mutanda-Chavumu). So which one is near? It must also be put to you that Kasempa is the nearest town to Mufumbwe which was called Kizela when the district was under Kasempa administration during the Mushala rebelion. Do you know why Mushala sons are popular in Mufumbwe? Just wait, Bert Mushala will be vying for this seat, so will the Musungu’s.Visit these places during traditional ceremonies and funerals. WIFE GRABBER like FTJ, HELL AWAITS YOU Hon. Regards to Hon Teta

  29. Condolences to the Bonshe family, the entire Musompo Village in kasempa and Bena Ng’onyi Clan.

Mufumbwe, for those who are asking were it is, it was formerly Known as Chizera and this is were the Famous late Adamson Mushala the father to the former MP Bet Musahala came and died from. This is also were Kalengwa Mine is.

  33. #51 & 52,
Well spoken, but it must be known that the A.S.S is behind and the eyes in front of living body. This includes yours, period!!! So why not mention the correct locality???:((:((:d

  34. Gentlemen, let us be realistic when posting our comments. Remember the yard stick you are using to measure others will be used against you. When one is sick, he/she has to try all available means to help him/her to recover. Remember God answers us in three different ways. 1. Immediate healing, 2. Healing after some time and 3. take us out of this horrible world by way of death. Remember that even those that are chronically sick, think they will one day recover from their sickness. Let’s not waste time with these funny comments but think about ourselves. They are gone. Remember “moto umapita koma kwatsala tchire” (Fire goes to where there is bush). It does not go where the bush has already been burnt. Take care and may you people with mocking comments be forgiven. May the deceased RIP

  35. Who is being mocked here? The dead Bonshe or the readers on the blog? Clarify as you may be mocking us #55.Remember you ere the bush and the fire is coming towards you brother.lol

  36. #55 you are right, most people post comments that are not even related to the subject. No matter how someone dies it is a loss to the family, friends and his party. M.H.S.R.I.P.

  37. Traveling to Nigeria for prayers? God hears prayers from anywhere. When will people understand this simple fact.

  38. No. 52 thank you very much. No.47 you really passed yr geography well grattis!!! but didnt have to calculate everything for me. I know its yr village with no electricity, loser.
but I know that its a village in north western province. Anyway I dont blame you. Bonshe is dead, let him go rest.

  39. #37 Maestro ali tembenuka he has backsliden that is why he is now quoting the Post.He was promised that he would marry a church mate after her husband dies but the man was prayed for by man of Gold Pule

  40. #59 Lili
I thot I meant well. Im sorry for being truthful? Mufumbwe is near Zambezi as you posted earlier. The kms I put in are here by withdrawn. Lili, I dodnt come from the said very. Whether there is no electricity or there is, it not anything I may be worried of. I worked for Phelps Dodge doing explorations in the NWP including the now popular Lumwana. My man it does need to make me a naitive of NWP to know it better. Where are you from SCAMBAG? Earn a life and stay well where you are. Hon Bonshe is a person a knew so well, even in court is Solwezi when he was sued by Mr Banda, I attended the sessions. Mr Banda was a person driver tho the then DC now Permsec Kasongo. We used him several times as Phelps Dodge. Youa a QUACK Lili. Have a blessed week

  41. Kyatama mwisho, twa lomba ku ba Nkambo be misunge. For all those that are saying bad things here, remember some of he was our relative, let God be the final judge. Only judge if you have control over life. Have a blessed day and may God take good care of the family.

  42. Why do we always easily attribute anything evil I mean anything bad to this man t.b Joshua? The writer has not mentioned anything to do with T.B Joshua but the country ‘Nigeria’. Mind you, there are many pastors in Nigeria, many traditional healers even the muslims believe they pray and it comes to past, so why him? He may have gone there for a visit to the traditional healers who knows? They are all called “a visit for prayer.”

  43. #45 Ba Monze, It is the other way round, ‘The Lord delivered Daniel from the lion’s mouth’.

  44. #5 I agree with you, Zambians can be so gullible sometimes. TB Joshua is not God, when its time to go learn to accept.:-t@-)

  45. In the first instance, my condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. Countrymen and women, I find it difficult to understand why as Zambians we find it hard to accept the reality. I recall several years ago, coming back home, finding my brother sick – I knew he had AIDS, and I told him so. I cried with him, hugged him and said goodbye. I miss him, but as a family we agreed that the best legacy our brother could leave was to be honest and highlight the severity of HIV/AIDS. We told everyone why he died. Sorry to upset some of you, but I think we can only overcome challenges if we learn to accept when the time has come. Leaders have a special responsibility in that they formulate policy. If our leaders believe that you can get healed by going for prayers, then we are in trouble,

  46. Uwimba kaati alasanshya mo naLesa, so goes the bemba saying. There is no cure if God does not commision it. Even Dr know it well. I do not care what you say but prayer is the key to a successful life. God should not be taken light. Anyway even the devil does cure. So mind the way you test spirit. Isaiah 8:20 Meastro and not VJ expand on this.

  47. #55 who told you he is R.I.P. Does he know anything? Dead he is thats all we can say so please stop the nonsense of Rest In Peace what kind of phrase is that?

  48. Why was a very sick person allowed to fly to Nigeria? He was in UTH for a very long time and then China if I am correct. There is time when we should convince a sick person that travelling that far is not good. Three days after arriving in Nigeria he was dead, what benefits did this journey bring? There are so many people in Zambia who could pray for him. I may appear critical but I am very realistic person who believes that if someone has been ill for a very long time, attended by different doctors, it is better to die peacefully with your whole family nearby.

  49. Why Nigeria??? and if it prayers….mwe bantu bandi, the bible says there is no distance in spirit, thus to say, he could have been prayed for in absentia. Too much wasting tax payers money on some
things that can be avoided. I feel sorry for the family but the authorities who allowed a sick person to
travel instead of seeking medical care. God gave us a free will and power to excercise wisdom not to just
foolishly believe in whatever doctrines of healing that comes across. R.I.P tho.

  50. # 53,
You’re 100% wrong, these Clans are not only in Kaonde Culture but in Other tribes, those from Eastern if I’m not mistaken are called Ng’unis, are you telling me they are thieves, womanisers or prostitutes? Not at all, those you Know are a handful.
So let us educate each other not on prejudice but facts.

  51. His Majesty, King Goodwill Zwelithini of the Zulus (South Africa) and many others without any tragedy.
    The question now is;
    1. Did he actually visit this man T.B. Joshua?
    2. Was he actually invited?
    3. Where exactly did he die? Can it be in his church? Before you can then mention T.B Joshua to this issue.

  52. My condolences to my family in zambia.May the Lord God Almighty give strength to the Family.Only those who have lost their beloved ones can understand how painful to loose a member of your family. We are Praying for you all God to confort and heal you from this pain.May your soul rest in peace uncle Bonshe,

  53. Hey bloggers mind your language and torn down your rthetoric. It’s inhuman and unzambian to condemn the dead just coz they’re dead and we aint. Everyone of us are moving corpses so to speak, the moment we were born, we instantly got a death sentence on our heads. We can’t pour scorn on prayers and even have the audacity to condemn prayers. There’s vast empirical evidence of people who have been exorcised of their sicknesses of all types while it’s on record that some people even after been prayed for by powerful preachers still die. 55. We aint smarter than those who have passed on to the land of the dead. Our time will come and when it does, no amount of intervention will stop the inevitability of death gripping us with its vice-like grip till we fizzle out like a passing dream. God knows to humble us through this greatest of denominators and most humbling of experiences. Sela to those who have not made peace with God through Christ the Messiah.
