PF senior leader Dr Chileshe Mulenga resigns

Share

Patriotic Front (PF) Member of Central Committee, Chileshe Mulenga has resigned from the PF citing dictatorial and undemocratic tendencies.

Dr Mulenga, who is believed to have been among PF sterwards that crafted the party manifesto, says his resignation is a matter of principle that can not be compromised.

He says he has also declined his appointment as Chairperson of the PF Research Bureau.

Dr Mulenga said he can no longer belong to a party in which its okay to dissolve duly elected constituency committees, for the sake of making greedy political opportunists comfortable.

This is contained in Dr Mulenga’s resignation letter dated 4th September 2010, addressed to PF leader Michael Sata and made available to ZNBC news in LUSAKA Monday.

He said he can not remain in an organisation where the constitution is compromised and dictatorship and misrule are ordained.

Dr Mulenga however, said he will continue to support Zambia’s democratisation through other channels open to him.

  1. Now we don’t know were we are edging. If the we are hoping to do something in future for Zambia have started livung the part. The pact part can u do something for the people and stop all these uneccessary talikng going on. We want paece :)>- in our country.

  2. The worst curse to happen to Zambia would be Michael Sata being even 100 kilometers distance to State House. That would be the the worst curse. After taking two billion Kwacha to the MMD Convention in 1991, I fear what he would do to our country.

  3. Iam already yawining thinking about what the usual PF kaponyas will say – ‘he has been given a brown envelope by MMD blah, blah, blah’, because Sata is a God whose s.hi.t dont stink.

  4. On “This is contained in Dr Mulenga’s resignation letter dated 4th September 2010, addressed to PF leader Michael Sata and made available to ZNBC news in LUSAKA Monday… said he can not remain in an organisation where the constitution is compromised and dictatorship and misrule are ordained,” this is good from a former PF insider and I hope the mighty UPND Group will be careful in their dealings with PF/Sata MC whose appetite for being President of Zambia is dangerous.

The number of former PF people who worked with Mr Sata and have ditched him over PF’s undemocratic tendencies is getting large and worrying. Therefore, I urge PF to go to a convention as soon as possible so as to let the PF-UPND PACT hold proper joint elections soonest.

    Be blest all.

  5. When you start a journey az a group, it iz only normal that some will stop along the for so many reazonz. Any right thinking person would do well to thank Dr Mulenga and wish him well while respecting hiz decizion to leave.

  6. We wish you good luck DOC, hopefully you dont join a sinking titanic MMD. Your action is respected, unfortunately you have shot at us when leaving. Good luck. WE shall meet in the battle ground, hope you saw the PF rally in Kitwe.

  7. When Pf has a rally in kitwe they think its the whole country go to Kalomo as Pf and see whether u get the same peope you boast about! Do ur home work.

  8. The Doctor, surely couldnt have a free counscious after seeing the dictactorship in PF, surely PF has lost a good brain, the Dr is a free thinking academic. Sata, just backpeddled the other day on proposed windfall tax in an interview with Dow Jones, where he condemned the mine tax, while back home he is supporting it. its really difficult to know the position of Sata on issues.

  9. congratulations doctor mulenga. this is a big loss for pF satana as dr. mulenga was the only real brains within PF when it comes to policy.

  10. ‘PF more tribal’

THE Patriotic Front (PF) is the most tribalised political party in the country, followed by the United Party for National Development (UPND), while the Movement for Multi-party Democracy (MMD) has been cited as the party that is most national in character and in scope, a new survey has revealed.

Findings of the research reveal that the MMD has a presence in all the regions of the country and President Banda enjoys cross- cutting national political support while the PF enjoys most of its support from Northern Province, some parts of Luapula, the Copperbelt and Lusaka provinces.

  11. The UPND derives most of its support from the Southern province, some parts of North-Western and Western and a section of Central Province.

The research team has since recommended that all political parties should endeavour to go for national conventions or congresses to elect national leaders because in such cases, participants are drawn from all the nine provinces of Zambia reinforcing a national characteristic of the parties instead of those merely handpicked.

The methodology used in the research was to review secondary data, such as lists of people on party national executive committees (NEC), provincial, district and constituency committees including lists of MPs currently serving in Parliament per political party and lists of candidates adopted to stand in two previous general…

  12. This study comes in the wake of another research which was undertaken by the Centre for Policy Dialogue which showed that the PF-UPND pact was tribal as most members drawn from the two parties were either Bemba or Tonga.

This latest survey, which has been undertaken by the Leadership in Development (LID), a non-governmental organisation (NGO) in conjunction with the Integrated Management Consultants (IMC), selected three major political parties, the MMD, the PF and the UPND for the exercise.

LID executive director Moses Kalonde in a summarised statement released in Lusaka said that the organisation conducted a desk top research to establish which political parties in the nation had the most nationwide appeal and those that were more regionally or tribally inclined.

  13. He said the study focused on the general membership of the supporters of the political parties and their leaderships in party structures from the grassroots to the national leadership.

Mr Kalonde said the study also looked at what percentage a specific tribal grouping belonged to a party and also evaluated information on candidates who were adopted to stand in the last two general elections.

According to the findings, the PF had the highest representation of one tribe at central committee, provincial committee, district and constituency levels.

A closer scrutiny of the PF shadow cabinet of the 2006 general elections indicated that most of the ministers would have come from the Northern Province.

  14. I am not an MMD supporter but I fore see RB winning in 2011 because there are a lot of signs that the Pact will crumble. The Pact should have first advanced a convincing Agenda or Manifesto that would make voters support whichever presidential candidate, Sata or HH. is floated by the Pact. But, akas. what we are seeing, especially in PF, is a presentation of the presidential candidate before the manifesto. People want to know how life will change if at all the Pact wins. And was there any sign of belonging to the Pact in today,s Post picture of the Kitwe rally? Katwishi/ Shita/Kaya/Aluzibi.

  15. And a search at the Lusaka Civic Centre has revealed that over 60 percent of the PF councillors in Lusaka are of Bemba-speaking origin, a situation which largely contrasts the district population which is dominated by people originating from the Eastern Province.

Mr Kalonde said a similar exercise carried out at the Ndola and Kitwe Civic centres indicated a similar trend as that of Lusaka.

The UPND, according to the study, comes a close second to the PF largely because of its Tonga-speaking leader Hakainde Hichilema who hails from the Southern Province. Most of the MPs of the party also come from the same area.

“The MMD has a more national appeal and has its presence everywhere in the country and this is even supported by the electoral map produced by the Electoral Commission…

  16. “President Rupiah Banda has a cross of people who supported and still support him regardless of tribe,” Mr Kalonde said.

Mr Kalonde recommended that all parties must go to a national convention to elect national leaders, adding that since such congresses allow a cross-section of people from all the nine provinces of Zambia to attend, the leaders that emerge from there are more widely accepted and the tribal tag falls off.

He observed that constitutions of political parties must have balancing elements in order to take care of inherent factors that lead to one group of people dominating the organisation.

The LID leader also noted that political parties must desist from using dominant languages during official meetings and stick to the official English language to avoid tribal…

  17. The LID leader also noted that political parties must desist from using dominant languages during official meetings and stick to the official English language to avoid tribal dominance in political parties
He also observed that since Zambia has 74 languages, political parties must develop policies that will ensure balance of power is maintained.

“This means deliberately including representatives from all the nine provinces of Zambia in the national, provincial and local structures, including the lists of adopted candidates for elections,” he said

  18. Dr. Mulenga wanted to be SG of PF but after another person was put there he decided to quit. Dr. Mulenga was side stepped due to his inactivity. But let me add can the MMD say they are more democratic than PF or UPND? No we have seen how the two letters M and D are being butchered by the two vultures Dora and Ronnie- Multi Party and Democracy don’t mean a thing to these vultures.

  19. OK, this is very silly by this so called Dr! I am sure he will start supporting MMD and all is due to the work FTJ’s stolen loot! All these MMD people, especially the old tired leadership without any direction is NOT good for Zambia. This is really the worst missed opportunity ever! Banda’s MMD is the worst dictatorial party ever, worse that the UNIP one party state because we all new what was with UNIP. I thinks we need some fresh think minds to mobilise the masses, Join a young and forward thinking party like FODEP and kick out all these old folks! If i was an electorate in Zambia, I will match to whoever changes alliance and demand an explanation, whether from MMD to PF – I need to know why he wasted my vote and trust in him! Any change is gonna be better than MMD. Vote wisely!!

  20. #26 You make a very valid point. If a good manifesto was represented, it would not matter who was going to be implementing it. As it is, the time and energy which should have been spent coming up with new and inspirational ideas is being used in internecine warfare within the pact.

  21. 23. 26 your points may be valid but the point is MMD under VJ are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the opposition is eliminated. Iam one of the persons who have been offered not only money but also a position at District Level in MMD. Iam an activisit who has no political inclination so efforts have been made to make me start making pronouncements against the UPND and PF the only threat to MMD.

  24. I know this Chileshe Mulenga. He is as undemocratic and dictatorial as Michael Sata but please PF don’t worry the mafia is a Chiluba bootlicker – so it is Chiluba playing with his toys in PF. I am sure you will get better people to replace him in UPND if only you can respect the PACT wholeheartedly – bwafya kwena – politics of Nsima na Ndiyo baba.

  25. Ba #30 you are not being honest by saying that Dr. Mulenga has resigned b’coz he was not appointed SG. If Dr. Mulenga’s resignation was based on your false allegation, he wud have resigned the moment Kabimba was ‘appointed'(if not handpicked). It is a lie that Dr. has bn iddle. Being active is not synonymous to being a hooligan. U may wish 2 know that Dr. was a cardinal Researcher in PF whether U like it or not. Without Dr. Mulenga sata wud not have managed 2 make a presentation at Harvard University. Thus, be objective. Well done doc!

  26. I still recall the same slur being smeared on Aka and Baldwin when they quit Kafupi’s circus claiming the Katangese pygmy was a LAZO top one. These same chaps claimed Aka and Baldwin were bitter because they were not appointed minister of finance and VEEP respectively. Ten years down the line, Zambia was purgatorized by a criminal massive exposure to a stinking kleptocracy, and the same mob roars in approval when a criminal judge Hamaundu throws out the London judgement compelling him to pay back what he stole. You just have to wonder sometimes why the good lord god almighty had to endow my people with such a wealth of gutless s.t.u.p.i.d.i.t.y????

  27. Going by what people are saying it seems this guy Mulenga has been bought by 30 coins. We know all the schemes of the devil MMD which is trying to buy all those without principles in the opposition.

They can try but they will fail to bring down Sata coz Sata is Sata …and nothing can bring him down. He says he was born under the tree in the bush amongst the cobras cool breaths.

Hee guys Sata is Sata the political brain teaser. I am just laughing at Dr Mulenga coz this is te end of his political career. Politics are for the hard tested like Sata not weeak souls like Dr Mulenga.

    Hehehe…….

  28. Is that Mulenga in that styupid bathtub ‘boat’? Anyway is this when he is realizing that Snake Cobra is a dictator, he must be a bit slow. good riddance

  29. It shows that PF is not tribal party ,as you go others may try their luck being a doctor doesnt make you any better politician people want action not books

  30. Bloggers, I am surprised at the attention we are giving Dr Mulenga. Who is he? He hasn’t even a constituency. I think he was a liability to PF otherwise he would have become an MP like most of the big names in PF.
I guess he will join the MMD WHICH HAS NO DICTATORIAL TENDENCIES! He just needs to respect the fact that before they go for the convention, NO ONE NEEDS TO CHALLENGE RUPIAH! I doubt if Dr Mulenga is even learned at all because the worst party to join at the moment is the MMD.

  31. And it is a good move by dr Mulenga coz what we want is purging away all the unprinciple people from opposition. Let him go in peace and may he be blessed in the MMD-thug party. We wish him all the best coz he was inactive. He was not even known by his president Sata. Let Mulenga go , we dont want compromised people like mulenga in the opposition.

  32. Just as Ndalya live has asked, even myself I am still putting a footnote to his question. Who is this so called Dr Chileshe? This guy has been bought bought for 30 pieces of silver by the MMD. If he resigned from PF, why go all the way to the MMD/Govt controlled ZNBC?

  33. Ba doc! we know you met RB and the MMD delegations in chisamba at ibis motel. When the Pact asked you to narrate why you had to meet them in the early hours of the morning. you replied ‘It was personal matters’. At that time of the morning????. and you go to ZNBC and jolts it as undemocratic reasons behind your PF exit.
And they are going to hold a defection party at State house!! Is it on the 23rd of sept?

    Viva Pact

  34. So where are all the PF stalwarts who used to be very vocal on this site?

How do you explain what is happening to the so called party of the future?

Mr Sata has never adopted anything other than bullying for his management style. That it took so long for Dr Mulenga to realise this is nothing short of a small miracle!

  35. If you look at what #40 has posted and see what I posted earlier at #5 you can see how predictable PF supporters are. They lack imagination and that is why a party bereft of ideas should never hold the reigns of power. They talk about democracy within MMD when they have NEVER EVER had a convention. RB underwent a democratic process in order to become the MMD candidate in the last elections. That is why PF is having problems with UPND. They want to impose Sata’s candidacy on the pact because that is the way PF operates. We have heard from the horses mouth – Dr Mulenga. I fear that if PF fear internal democracy so much then the first time we vote them in might be the last time we vote for a very, very long time.

  36. #48. Good riddance if this doctor had a tete-a-tete in the early hours of the morning in Chisamba at Ibis Motel. By the way just as others have asked- Who’s this doctor? And what doctorate has he- medical, civil engineering, mechanical, or is it the similar to RB’s area of study- History of Economics? People in the know tell us, please.

  37. #18, I don’t think just because he has ‘Dr’ pre-fix is necessarily a hard worker. He isn’t even the only doctor in Zambia. In fact its ok for him to quit and probably, join mmd. You see some battles are not for faint-hearted individuals. You have to have a strong mind.

  38. #30 Maybe he thought because he’s Bemba he deserved the seat more than the current SG. He was wrong. Maybe he should try to form up his own party so that we see how democratic he will be.

  39. #38, you mean there are no PF members who can write a speach? When a worker resigns-no matter how good he was, there will always be a replacement. In most cases even for better. You sound like those people who believe saying, “he is irreplaceable”, during the burrial of someone is dead. PF is full of highly educated men and women. Dr Mulenga was just one of them.

  40. #40, I think I agree with you. Everything has been done to bring Sata down (not only by RB), but they have failed. Levy himself wanted Sata in jail but lamentably failed. Now, its RB with his ‘degree’ clause, previous record of court conviction. All these things have failed. If RB were even hours younger than Sata in age he would have tried the ‘no presidential candidate if your age is 2hours older than me’. Levy tried it. It still failed. So, one would conclude to say, you can’t bring Sata down. In his ‘iliteracy’, the man is too intellegent, wise and advanced. He has, in his party, mobilised people from all walks of life, tribal/racial backgroung which other parties have failed. In politics like any other discipline you can’t only attract the elite and boast to have real…

  41. Peter

I will be travelling to Zed soon and I will pass on the message to Sata that he has a royal servant in you. You deserve a pay raise.

  42. from # 56…and boast to have real communication skills. That in itself means only educated people understand you because you lack the language for the largest %age of the population. Most graduates (from UNZA and Copperbelt Universies) I know (including my own uncle who is a mathematian as well as a database systems pecialist) are PF members. Iliterate, same iliterate, young and old are all PF members. As far as politics are concerned, I think Sata has done well, and he is trully unstoppable.

  43. Good riddance to bad rubbi.sh, let the foo.l go lick the stin/nky ar.ses of the thieves and robbers of our country. This ka doc of cockroaches is just a looser, let the fu.cker get lost to the Mwadya Mweka Daddy, azalilia uyu next year ninshi ka kariya kake kamumapolitiks ka silililatu.

  44. Dr Mulenga has realised that MMD has a vacancy left by his fellow serial killer doctor of Mkushi. Mulenga has joined MMD to fill that vacancy so that the killing of inocent citizens by doctors can continue in MMD. I am sure by now, the doctor has already been give a pisto by RB.

  45. #57. So, you are on MMD’s payroll? My dear, I support change of government because I need to go back and help in the development of that country with my little projects I have initiated. Not on Sata’s payroll. The way things are in Zambia there’s no independent system for contracts bidding. All the contracts are handed out to RB’s sons and friends. That obviously is not favourable for an upcoming comany. Bcos it will foldup even b4 it starts operating. I also want my children to have choice of where to live instead of just being restricted to the western world bcos in Zambia they can’t anything legally. So, am above your thing my brother. I regularly go to Zambia- I could pass there and ask for the payrise if that were the case.

  46. Ba PETER, muleumfwako insoni, the man has raised serious issues, let your president change his management style.he should even undergo an election even a stage managed one

  47. #63. I do not argue with bloggers. But, let me tell you that its those in MMD who should feel ashamed of having been wasting time on trying this and that on SATA. One shameful instance was when they announced that SATA was convicted about 50 years ago and they were going to dig into his past to uncover the offence for his conviction- only to dicover that he was an informer for the Zambian freedom fighters against colonial masters. When he (Sata) knew that his activities (informer) were now known to the colonial masters, he fled into Zaire and the then to the UK after Zambia’s independence…

  48. Former Vice President, Enock Kavindele even said instead of trying mudsling Sata, they must thank him for the dangerous jobs he used to do- being an informer. So, #63, who do you think should be ashamed? If I were them I would silently collect intellegency on Sata. And if it wasn’t in my favour I just remain quiet. Now, stu.pidly enough their chief investigator even announced publicly. If it were here, he was going be fired the following morning for being so stu.pid and un-intellegent as chief intellegent officer. Long live Sata, long live pact.

  49. This is just the beginning of the end; PF is a sinking ship. Their only hope was the Pact but since they’ve ridiculed their partners (thanks to Guy Scott’s big mouth), they are screwed! MMD will win come 2011 and Sata will suffer a 2nd and perhaps fatal heart attack!!!

  50. If this resignation was to show credibility, let those junk rebel MPs resign and re-contest their seats. Since the formation of the PF party, I have never heard of a Dr. Chileshe Mulenga. If this quack had any credibility, how long has he been in PF? Did he just realize that he was appointed and not elected? MMD cadres on LT calling PF as dictatorial and failing to hold a convention, probably you have forgotten the insults hauled on Mpombo when he stood firm for a convention in MMD. How many elected officials are in MMD? Currently zero. MMD stopped holding elections in what year? So, before you get excited, check your party first. MMD expelled Magande and Mpombo forsimple reason to protect RB’s position. That is democracy. New MMD slogan: MMD mulilo, uwaikatako apya. uh, remember that?

  51. Ba Peter, when is Mr. Sata going to hold elections in his party – ever? Or is it his resilience and intelligence as you seem to allege, that he has duped all the educated guys in his party not to go to the ballot box? To me he is simply a bully! And before you brand me I don’t support either RB or HH, just want the best for Zambia with some decent guy at the top….

  52. Ba Peter, don’t waste your time on people who will attack Sata for the same stuff happening in MMD. They should first give you one elected member of MMD before they continue throwing mud at PF. These are the same guys whose mothers are dancing for William Banda at markets in Lusaka. When did MMD hold elections in any province? Not even their NEC can show even one elected officials.

  53. Ba Peter nshilefwaya insele lelo nakana, what you just ought to know is that it’s a scum to parade a person with the character sata has as a 21century presidential aspirant

  54. Am amazed there is even some Dr mulenga in PF. Who even said he must be called senior member-give me a break. There is no substance in this man and is just trying to draw the attention from MMD & its sympathysers as well as distract the masses in their justified following of PACT/PF. Its a pity the educated in our society are being turned into bootlickers. May be no wonder the most educeted never make it amongest the richest in the world because they think there education will automatically grant them success as well as money-thats wrong. PF has been in existence for the last 6 or 7yrs & LT thinks they are justified to call this guy one of those that drafted the manifesto. Why should a well educted man & a leader fail to oblige to leadership? Thats what i fail to understand!

  55. Whoever is calling on Sata to hold elections, let them show me who has done so in any of the other parties including the ruling? Todate even HP’s Miyanda still holds on to the sit, BY and for RB we can even witness the fack prosecutions on the aspiring candidates. It is all for the eyes to see but those of you who cant see black on white will still go on reasoning like children. @72, you say no insult but your stage name says it all & thats how naive & unthinkable you are. There is no difference between Sata & any other presdient in africa-for instnce Zuma is as uneducated & hundsome as Sata but is governing one of the well developed countries in africa? Lets rally behind PACT or else we will still see our land sold for chinese sweets & indian chapati.PEACE

  56. This is what RB has been trying to tell you PF cadres but you’ve all refused to take heed. PF is not a party. It is a group of savages led by a self imposed chief called Satan.

How can you have faith in Satan to bring you prosperity and better living? Is this not the same trap Adams wife, Eve, found herself in when she was enticed to eat the forbidden fruit in paradise?

  57. georgeWbush….May be no wonder the most educeted never make it amongest the richest in the world because they think there education will automatically grant them success as well as money-thats wrong….

    COMMENT

True the educated may not end up being rich materially but will never lose the education the got. You cant buy that! You will say they wont end the books but that knowledge is powerful light which shall never fade.

  58. #35, are we expected to listen to you, let alone believe you? Your blogging doesn’t suggest that you are an intelligent fellow or even suitable leadership material.

  59. #76 Anthony Lloyd – PhD Anthropology – Oxford UK – You are forgeting that even MMD is always intimidating those members with different views. Already you are saying RB is sole candidate and any potential threat like young Felix Mutati will be hounded out of the party. Man open tour eyes before its too late. used to adore Chiluba and by the time I realised that he was a fake it was too late.

  60. #78 SATA’S EYES- I dont know if Iam inelligent or not, but Iam good enough to have managed to be where Iam. Iam not forcing any one to listen to me all am doing is sharing my experiences with those who wish to. Its up to you to take it or leave it.By the way Iam in Zambia, Kitwe. The flags you see mean nothing.

  61. Potentially a government of dictators (Sata), megalomaniacs (Scot), insolents (HH), wife beaters (GBM), boot kickers (Lubinda, Kawimba), MSMs and other nonentities.
Thank God in a democracy we have the right to destroy ourselves.

  62. Sata show all the signs of a dictator, I dont think he is the solution to the countries cry for a political & economical revolution. We need a new breed of leaders to boot out MMD. Sata, RB and HH must all go!

  63. Its the name of the game. You play it the way you want. Each person is entitled to his opinion. Its a big blow for the PF to loose a good leader like Dr. Mulenga but that does not mean that all is lost. There a lot of people out there who will take up from where Doc has left and continue. All the best Doc and a luta continua PF.

  64. In light of “…the survey conducted by the Leadership In Development in conjunction with the Integrated Management Consultant…. ranked the Patriotic Front (PF) as the most tribalised political party in the country, followed by the United Party for National Development (UPND), while the Movement for Multi-party Democracy (MMD) has been cited as a party which is most national in character and in scope” reported by the Zambia Daily Mail of today under a title “‘Regionalism bad for country’“, I am surprised that certain characters are still trying hard to dispute that PF is the most tribal party which operates on no democracy but tribally and racially appointed system of autocracy.

I hope PF cadres will stop accusing the mighty UPND of being a Tonga party.

    Be…

  65. # 84 Maestro hehehe….

I wonder why as a SDA believer as you proclaim are very tribal towards Bembas? Why my brother?

You always preach hatred against bembas and yet you are a christian according to your confession on this blog. brother if at all you are, you disgrace the faith of the SDA church.

As christians we have to preach peace and unity in the body of christ. But you are always fuming against the Bembas in the face of the Bemba brothers marrying the Tonga sisters in your church SDA.

Are the Bemba brethren safe in SDA going by your hatred towards them?

I just wonder whta kind of a SDA believer you are….or does it mean that all SDAs are full of hatred against the Bembas? I just feel for Bembas who have maried Tongas in SDA church…

    CHANGE MAN.

  66. #75 georgeWbush: UPND is the only party that held democratic elections in 2006 and the executive committee has a mandate up to 2011. All other parties especially MMD and PF are scared of holding internal elections because they are worried about divisions that follow such elections. Zambians are not used to competition and losers will always claim they lost because of violence or tribal biasness even if it is plan clear they had no chance of winning. A very good example is Sikota Sakwiba. There is also a tendency of other parties interfering and creating divisions so as to gain political mileage . PF and MMD are experts in that regard and they are scared of drinking their own medicine.

  67. I am sure even Sata himself is surprised at how he has managed to have such a ‘huge’ following. Is it the lack of quality jobs or mere hatred for those in authority? Is he the ‘anointed” saviour? Perhaps one day I shall find answers to these questions. Coming back to issue at hand, Dr.Mulenga was a senior PF official whether some people like it or not and he did a lot things for the party, like going round the country conducting opinion polls. He is one the few academics that publicly supported PF and Sata in 2006.

  68. #75, uli bolo nga sata. fine,am happy in your posting you have mentioned zuma, now have you seen the proclems zuma has brought for himself because of giving half brains like you too much juicy.that it will just be oozing in every house hold. mbeki was being realistic and told those poor blacks the realities of life, enter illiterate zuma, just like sata started making all sorts of lies.now he is in state house and he has failed to deliver now the poor blacks have brought the country to a vitual stand still. next is sata but in zambia god forbids.sata cant rule

  69. DR. MULENGA IS THE MAN BEHIND THE PF MANIFESTO, THE FIRST ONE THAT TALKED ABOUT ‘MORE MONEY IN YOUR POCKET VOTE PF’. HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE PF CENTRAL COMMITTEE AND WAS A CLOSE CONFIDANT OF SATA. ALL YOU CHAPS WHO THINK DR. MULENGA IS A NONENTITY ARE VERY IGNORANT. ANYWAY I UNDERSTAND THAT YOU HAVE BEEN AWAY FROM ZAMBIA. PF IN ITS WHOLE EXISTENCE HAS NEVER AND I REPEAT NEVER HELD ANY ELECTION. ALL MCC’S ARE APPOINTED BY SATA. MMD HAS HELD ELECTIONS AND CONVENTIONS SINCE IT WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2001. MPOMBO AND MAGANDE WERE EXPELLED BY THE NEC OF MMD WHICH HAS THE MANDATE TO EXPEL ANY PARTY MEMBER. PLEASE LETS LEARN TO TELL THE TRUTH. PF IS A DICTATORSHIP OF SATA ALONE. ONCE SATA GOES PF WILL DIE

  70. 85 Mboo greetings. On your “I wonder why as a SDA believer as you proclaim are very tribal towards Bembas? Why my brother? “I am not tribal towards Bemba by tribe or by speech people. What is at stake is that the opinion poll report in our Zambian media shows that PF is the most tribal political party in Zambia and the tribalism in PF is because of its Bemba Language usage to gain political mileage and mirage.

Have you ever wondered as to why Mr PF/Sata MC has never held elections in his party but likes to appoint members of PF’s CC? In my opinion, the reason is simple and simply that non-Bemba by tribe and speech people like SG Winter Kabimba, Veep Guy Scott, Nat. Chair Inonge Wina, Spokesperson G Lubinda can lose their appointed positions to Bembas.

    Be blest…

  71. I feel pity for poor doc. What puzzles me is how does a well educated man like him align himself with Kaponyas for such a long time.He must have really suffered .Anyway ,its better late than never.Wish u luck Doc.!!!

  72. 85 Mutinta greetings. On your “# 91 U hate bembas and u want bembas to vote for your HH” I do not hate anyone not even an ant but I do not care whether Bembas vote for HH or not because Bembas are on record for not having voted for any Zambian who is not Bemba by tribe. If you do not believe me, check all previous elections results from ECZ from the time Zambia obtained Independent from the British in 1964 todate.

Other regions/tribes of Zed overwhelmingly voted for Mr FJT Chiluba, Bemba by Speech, in 1991 for him to beat UNIP’s KK but Bembas failed to vote for Tonga Mazoka in 2001 although UPND’s late A. Mazoka almost won the 2001 presidential election in Zambia — why I’m writing that while Bembas are welcome to vote for HH they are free to vote 4 PF.

  73. PATRIOTIC Front (PF) deputy secretary general Chileshe Mulenga has resigned from the party and declined an appointment by party leader Michael Sata to be the party’s chairperson for the research bureau, citing the party’s failure to uphold its constitution.

But Mr Sata said Dr Mulenga was causing confusion in the party by undertaking assignments of the secretary general and the chairperson of elections.

In a letter dated September 4, 2010 addressed to the PF leader, Dr Chileshe said his resignation was a matter of principle because upholding the constitution of any club let alone a political party cannot be compromised.

“I regret to inform you that I have declined my appointment as chairperson of the Research Bureau of the Patriotic Front and resign from the party and…

  74. “I regret to inform you that I have declined my appointment as chairperson of the Research Bureau of the Patriotic Front and resign from the party and Zambian politics altogether,” he said.

“My resignation is a matter of principle, because upholding the constitution of any club let alone a political party in a country struggling to democratise is a principle that cannot be compromised.” He said he could not remain in an organisation in which it is okay to dissolve duly elected constituency committees just for the sake of making greedy political opportunists comfortable. “I joined the PF in 2004 at a time when it was not fashionable to do so. I gave the party far much more than it could ever give me. With my education I could have easily joined the powers that be”

  75. maestro hehe, the bembas in 2001 rejected mazoka but voted for mwanawasa a lenje so dont talk tribal rubbish here. KK managed to get bemba support even after the kapwepwe issue. while tongas never forgot nkumbula issue and were agianst KK and hence in 91 voted FTJ to get rid of KK

  76. SATA LIBOLO@88. Trouble is you dont understand you own infantry reasoning! Am not sure why you are bent on tainting PF’s picture. I have been on this blog long time & the rarity amongest seemingly PF sympathysers like me to use such insults is a good example of who are typically egoegos like their MMD founder president. Actually, does not even hold GCE qualifications. You must question yourself-in the first place-what made an educated man like this depraved doctor to join Sata? These guys do not have dreams of their own let alone want to hijack those who r courageous like one COBRA! Its a pity you dont even know which hole on your body oozes your words-looks like its the one behind-under! People must prove to lead 4b for postions & not just as a ressult of papers-leadership is God-given.

  77. Maestro…

Please I am just reminding you that as a christian as you proclaim you must preach peace and unity in the body of christ. You should be there conselling those on this blog who exchange tribal insults. ofcourse every person christian included is free to belong to his or her party of choice, but for you to hate PF and the Bembas its a sin my supposedly brother. Thats why there is a vote, you can use it to vote for the party you dont want instead of you hating the Bembas coz a Bemba leads PF.

I am advicing you coz you have conffed on this blog to be a christian other wise I would not bother to. But since you are one of me in the body of christ if at all you are, the word of God say we have to take care of each other including admonishing one another.

    SO MEASTRO REPENT.

  78. I would like to call Sata and HH the old grass broom and new broom. Surely we need new broom, the old broom used to work well but its old and warn out. We have even taken it to the toilet but surely, we need a new broom mwe because the old one will be leaving debris, broken pieces. Now the dictatorial tendencies and undemocratic practices are real. Be warned, Sata is a real danger and people can only support him at their own peril. 10 years as president and no single election? The late Sampa were just being hand picked to fill positions, the scotts, name them. What a party? It;s like its Sata’s farm

  79. Oh my nose! & i quote,”with my education, i could have easily joined the powers that be” Thats the problem. Tell us what you have done that is there to be seen. For 6yrs, this guy has just been watching things as they allegedly unfold in PF? goldigger! I take it soon he will join MMD because thats where this guy needs to be.He is growing & he needs a livelihood. About Zuma, you r misguided. Recently, we have seen how public strikes have gone by & it has been delt with amicably with both parties going out happy. We have seen the former head of police jailed recetly. Thats democracy. Pa zed, ukuchita riot mulandu-no dfierence na ku Russia. I guess the writting is over the wall. PEACE.

  80. Maestro…… You must be a demented individual. The two parties PF and UPND do not only comprise people where their respective presidents come from. PF has a Lozi as it Chairperson, another Lozi as spokesperson etc. Upnd has people from NW as top leaders so I dont know why you keep on yapping like a cur that has no fixed abode. UNLESS you are telling us that no tribe shuld have a president of any party- quite confusing ?

  81. Dr Mulenga is just one vote so it does not matter to me. On Saturday a senior FFD member joined PF so it is not a big loss as every position on Earth is replaceable. In short, those that feel uncomfortable can leave for greener pastures elsewhere. Let the weak ones leave and creat space for people that are ready to fight for a common cause. I think he has a very weak reason for his decision considering his level of education.

  82. 100 Mboo, on “You should be there conselling those on this blog who exchange tribal insults,” I have tried my dear to help those that are sick in their heads — those that insult (probably to earn a living from PF and/or MMD) — but it is too late to change their behaviour.

On “ofcourse every person christian included is free to belong to his or her party of choice, but for you to hate PF and the Bembas its a sin my supposedly brother,” I do not hate PF or any person whether they are bemba or Russian. Can you please give me a Bible verse which says that telling the truth about anything (including PF) is a sin. Thank you in advance.

103 Deja vu greetings, your insult “Maestro…… You must be a demented individual” will not take you…

  83. #108
Maestro Hhehhehhehhe for 2011 would-b President of Zambia HH- Sorry if you took it that way. My concern is the hatred you habour for we Bemba speakers. If I support HH what kind of treatment should I expect from you Tongas?

  84. 109 Deja vu as for your insult “Maestro… Sorry if you took it that way. My concern is the hatred you habour for we Bemba speakers” I have written many times that I do not hate Bemba people by tribe/ speech. Otherwise, how can I hate myself since I am a Bemba Speaker also if I am to hate Bemba Speakers although I am a Tonga by tribe? My friend or fellow Zambian, hating people or individuals or other creatures is a waste of time and I am not a time waster.

On “If I support [Tonga by tribe UPND elected-president] HH what kind of treatment should I expect from you Tongas? ” I am not a spokesperson for Tonga by tribe/speech people neither am I spokesperson for HH.

What I care about is that you are a human being and nothing more. Do what you like man.

    Matt…

  85. Join the wise and stop your tribalism. PF had all the chances to go to state house but now God knows. Don’t blame anyone, it is you the Bembas to blame because you take other tribes as useless. Lubinda was the right guy for the post of Vice President for PF and a clear win. But bcos he is Lozi you decided BIG NO. Who removed Kaunda from power? Do you think it was Chiluba? Chiluba came as an invited guest, Nkumbula came as an invited guest. MMD was formed in Bloemfontein by Akashambata and spored by the Pablo Escoba family (Sikota Winas)

  86. #91, 110 if tribalism is your in your blood stream please take it way from this bogg web because we are not interested in fake analysis. You are an I.d.i.o.t who doesnt even know what he ur taking about.Let me ask you 1 question, how many votes did sata get in southern and western provinces copmared to the votes HH got in Nothern and Luapula provinces? HH had far much more votes in nothern province that sata got in southern and western prov.So you are misleading bloggers by lying that bembas can not vote non bemba. bembas for your own infor are not tribalist like you, they mix with any one irrepective of race or tribal. They are very social people. may be that is why you dont like them you witch!!! go back to your mothers womb and take with you ur tribalism disease. we dont need it!!

  87. On “THE United Party for National Development [UPND] says it is shocked that the Patriotic Front (PF) decided to contest the position of deputy Mayor in last Monday’s Lusaka Mayoral elections, a clear departure from the mutually agreed rules as stipulated in the UPND/PF memorandum of understanding… spokesperson Charles Kakoma said his party is surprised that PF has again gone against the alliance agreement, a development which has exposed deeper cracks in the fragile pact” reported in the Zambia Daily Mail under a title “PF’s descision to contest mayoral polls … [disappoints] UPND” I think PF’s insincerity and overrating itself just entails that both PF and the mighty UPND must start competing against each other in all future elections.

    ….

    Matt 6:33 But…

  88. 117 continued.

As a matter of fact, Mr PF/Sata MC was quoted as having said ““Competition is very healthy and besides that, the two parties competed against each other on the deputy mayoral position but all in all, it’s good to allow people to choose the best candidate,”” although PF has never held a party convention to elect its leaders since 2001 when it was formed.

Interestingly, it appears Mr PF/Sata MC feels that he, Guy Scott, and PF are above the PF-UPND PACT MOU.

In light of this which entails that PF/MC Sata has continued to ill-treat the mighty UPND Group as a junior partner in the PACT which is very sad, I hope UPND will also start fielding its candidates in all upcoming elections and by-elections so that Zambians decide who is best.

  89. the doc is free to make he’s democratic choice and it should be respected.I find it strange to see these strange statistics about Bembas and quite frankly it is rather silly to hear pipo talking about how Bembas or Tongas think or any tribe for that matter and surely i tell you thats why Africa has not developed because instead of you guys talking about development you are busy talking about your fellow brothers and sisters as if they are from another planet, shame on all of you who judge someone by tribe.

  90. the great nation of USA has been developed by pipo of many races coz somehow they have put aside foolish differences but here i see fellow zambians talking about tribes, it actually makes me sick to the bone to see you guys insult each other instead of using those brilliant minds for positive things.PLIZZZZ STOP THIS RUBBISH CALLED TRIBALISM COZ IF YOU SAY TONGAS ARE TRIBALISTS THEN YOU ARE ONE AS WELL,AS THEY SAY IT TAKES A THIEF TO KNOW ANOTHER THIEF.Let us stick to the subject at hand coz this tribe thing is really getting old.

  91. ZAMBIA, we need young crop of leaders with high level integrity but infortunately these guys can’t be seen on the platform either enough financial backing or fear to step up on the political arena. We need to be on our knees, if we are to have such leaders come on the political arena.:-?

  92. ZAMBIA, we need young crop of leaders with high level of integrity but unfortunately these guys can’t be seen on the platform either they don’t have enough financial backing or fear of step up on the political arena. We need to be on our knees, if we are to have such leaders come on the political arena not just cheap talk.:-?

  93. PF CADRES REDEEM THE TIME THE EARLIER YOU QUIT YOUR PARTY, THE BETTER. JOIN UPND. THERE IS NO THING LIKE A PACT, THANKS FOR INTRODUCING THE SON OF THE SOIL HH

  94. Mulenga is just some other foolish person. He was my head boy at school, the man should accunt himself like to even be a Dr.
