Sata’s endorsements will boost his popularity – UNZA lecturer

PF President Michael Sata

A political analyst has said the recent support that Patriotic Front leader Michael Sata has been receiving from former MMD members will have a positive impact on his popularity.

Doctor Alex Ng’oma a political scientist and senior lecturer in the school of Humanities at the University of Zambia has said that the pronouncements are likely to influence voters in favour of Mr. Sata ahead of the forthcoming elections.

He said it is difficult to sway people’s minds when they have decided to support a particular candidate in the interest of change.

And Patriotic Front has charged that the support the party is receiving countrywide is a clear indication that Zambians are eager for change.

PF National Chairperson Inonge Wina says the shift of support in Western Province from the MMD and UPND to the PF is testimony enough that PF leader Michael Sata is the only candidate offering alternative leadership for the Zambians.

Mrs. Wina explained that people should not take for granted observations made by Forum for Democratic Alternatives (FDA) leader Ludwig Sondashi that this year’s elections will favour Mr. Sata.

She said that the PF leader’s popularity has grown countrywide as evidenced by recent defections of MMD and UPND members to the PF.

Mrs. Wina added that the wave of support has shifted to the PF because the party is inclusive of all Zambians regardless of ethnicity.

  1. What endorsement? Endorsement from political twits and failures cannot make Satan win elections.Sata is a known vampire and Zambians cannot risk ushering in power such. Only old finished former MMD chaps are endorsing Sata. No endorsement has come from any right thinking Zambian.
Most of all this is a publicity stunt being perpetuated by the Post. Zambians no the agenda for the post. The post is no longer taken serious nowadays.
Come 2011 it will either be RB or HH mark my writings.Zambians want real change and in Sata former MMD there is no change at all.

    • Yesterday they were worth flying partners of the then presidential hopeful now H.E. Mr. Banda today they are “political twits and failures”… Here, you putting accross your wishes. What the Prof is trying to say is that people will soon start wondering why the serpent is all of a suddent popular? Mind you, they will start to disclose the wrongs that have been swept under the carpet and that is the threat that the MMD should worry about not the individuals per se.

    • so you mean RB endorsements by lifwekelo and siulapwa and other small meaningless parties are going to add any value to him?hate it or love it……..sata for president 2011!!!!!!

  2. It is true and only fair that a people driven party gains public support across the board. PF have social policies which favour the majority poor in our country and as Zambians, we should all be patriotic and stand up for the development of our country. Let us vote out the corrupt MMD which has caused so much suffering to our relatives; poverty and corruption have been the norm in the MMD and especially in Rupiah Banda’s government. Let us not be bought by cheap money.Let us think about the future of our country and put selfish tendencies which has engulfed those who should be fighting for us, to one side.

    • There is a chance he could have another heart attack before elections so he has to take it easy on his way to state house so one wonders how he will run the affairs of this nation from bed

  3. Dr Ng’oma’s analysis is based on an assumption that the old way of pipo swaying with the hyena’s that have surrounded Sata for personal economic benefits still works in zambia. Zambians do not support a party becoz a person supports it. What Dr N’goma actually is saying is that we are a dull lot who reason by group-think. The group of pipo he is refering to are all failed businessmen who have no credibilty in the eyes of the Zambians. Why should we follow them. I am not a political scientist like the Unza Don but i think he sounds desperate to influence masses to support Sata, a tactic from the old days. Old methods of defections of pipo with no integrity will not add anything to Sata. Dr Ng’oma, all those pipo endorsing Sata are well know Zambian failures. Who will follow them?

  4. Why r som of u wishin my father VJ death? whats stops you from becoming iconical as he is? i have read a number of you PF cadres refering to Tongas as tribal and stupid. VJ IS TONGA… Call him tribal and stupid also. Mwabakunda bamanyoko…nonyo nwe!

  5. This year’s votes will be badly split. for some of these politicians this is the last opportunity. heads will roll. an Alternative opposition is lacking

  6. The trouble is the MMD people supporting him are disgruntled and only chansing jobs. If a minister, infact ministers quit on their own and join Sata out of principles, that will carry weight. I’m afraid this Dr’s analysis is flawed, failing to see the motives of the jobless former MMD officials. These jobseekers dont even have a following to write home about. It may well be a drop out of the ocean. Ba Dr can u pass sum1 with such an analysis, kwena? It’s cheap. The real defections were in 1991 when quality and influential people moved in numbers. Yet to see that level.

  7. Sata was a strong man in MMD and during which the country became seriously ruined from there policies. Why did he not assist to alleviate the poverty levels then and what will he do know?…..Zambians forget to fast…Sata was one of the rough/hostile guys in MMD towards Zambians and was untouchable. The records are there to tell it all.. that time will tell you the man was rude towards the majority poor Zambians that time.It is a big lie for SATA today to tell Zambians that he has the heart for the poor Zambians. This is a cheap political and Zambians if by mistake Sata wins God orbide will regret to having voted Satan in office.Sata even went ahead and fired Junior doctors who were asking for better wages when he at Health. Why did he not assist in increasing there Salaries if he has

    • PF TALKING POINTS, let people choose a president of their choice. Why do you care about their choice? You have your vote, use it wisely. And please stop talking about how bad Sata is. Noone in the face of God is good. Multipartyism means plural politics, not one party ruling forever… Well Mr. William Banda is considered hostile but we hear MMD has done well the last 2.5 years. Chiluba has been condemned extensively, but he is the one advising the MMD as a consultant, so it is not about the person but a government.

  8. Please check how credible these supporters are before making such conclusions. For example, Ludwig Sondashi, is he normal?

  9. This is the year for young chaps to be shown how mature leadership can be done by wise people. Fi MMD kuya bebele. We shall not only remove them from power but also follow them even up to their bedrooms to recover what they have stolen from Zambians!! Fimambala fyaiba pafula.

  10. The support for Sata coming from QFM and the Post is just the same as that of ZNBC Tv for RB. These old men are being misled. heads will roll.

  11. If there was a credible young leader, voting would be easy. The old crop from UNIP days are still haunting us. Sata and RB are one and the same, people should understand this.

  12. this ***** has always supported Sata and FODEP board should read between the lines. this character has taken a patisan stance and has got to be relieved of his duties as FODEP President. although he calls himself a Political Analyst i fail to see sense in his analysis apart from supporting a fellow tribes mate. VIVA RB as we march to crush the opposition. i know this kachap Called Dr Alex Ngoma as a poverty stricken Don who thinks his fortunes will change when his tribes mate is elected as President. the MMD should start to flush out some of these characters and ship them to Chinsali

  13. this intellectual Ngoma didn’t behave and convince us like one..he’s a cadre..however..time will tell..sata will die of a heart attack..hehehe..the palstic vulves will blow off..

  14. and by the way ZAMBIAN FACEBOOK is still craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap! it’s not going anywhere,

  15. Unfortunate the people who join Sata are those who were once condemned by the people of Zambia whilst in government. Their support to Sata does not make any change of development to PF as these people are recycled condenmed politicians. This is a sign that PF is for leaders those who were once condemned by the people whilst in MMD. Thieves unite when stealing and divide when sharing. Crooks will at last unite and be defeated. As long as he is being supported by those people who were once condemned in MMD and who were at once against the opposition parties and the zambians Sata will end up being a tail. How can somebody be supported by a rejected and condmned politician win elections ? Even a mad person, a prostitute and a thief is popular in his area but he or she can’t be made a…

  16. I stand to lecture Mr.Ngoma that his courage to make such a flawed statement is not only a reproach to his qualification, but preposterously undeserving of a learned mind. He has failed to understand that those disgruntled elements in the likes of Roger Chongwe, Sondashi, Nawakwi, Mulongoti, Chitala, Mpombo have no political constituency around the country to the extent where they would not even afford to marshal own votes to land a parliamentary seat in the August House. Their allignment has no marginal value and their scripts are not only tired, but publicly disdained and judged as reponsible for the national quagmire RB has been tenaciouly fixing for tomorrow Zambia.

    • In other words, you are saying Ms. Nawakwi flying around with RB in 2008 was sheer waste of resources and time on the part of MMD? This is just your opinion and leave Dr. Ngoma to have his. We will make our own judgement. We can read and count.

  17. HH is completely disoriented after the PACT ordeal, almost to the point of depression. RB’s advisors are still misleading him for fear of losing their jobs. Sata is the same old tyrant. i fear for this nation.

  18. Sour grapes. What do you expect from turn-coats? Any way, anybody can be a political analyst, and by vertue that we are discussing politics, we are analysts! The Doctor is entitled to his views.

  19. Its a debilitating heart attack in the fold for Sata. HH has just hit the head in his latest expression and i quote, “HH dismisses Sata’s popularity claims” He said Mr Sata would be shocked with the outcome of the 2011 presidential polls because contrary to the propanda in The Post newspaper that he was the favourite candidate, he would come out last in the race.

He said The Post, which he described as an information wing of Mr Sata and the PF, was cheating every day that Mr Sata was a popular politician and yet election results would prove otherwise.

  20. Mr Hichilema said the PF leader’s popularly had gone down in every part of Zambia, including Lusaka where he was popular in the previous elections.

He said it was good that The Post was de-campaigning him because the newspaper had been associated with losing candidates for many years.

He said The Post newspaper had launched a similar campaign against the late UPND president Anderson Mazoka but started praising him in their editorial comments soon after he died.

  21. Mr Hichilema said The Post should be prepared to resuscitate Mr Sata after the elections because he would be overwhelmed by shock.

The UPND and PF ran a pact that collapsed in March after procedural differences on the election of the presidential candidate, and both Mr Sata and Mr Hichilema had been making endless accusations against each other.

The PF has lately claimed that it is popular in areas that were generally considered strongholds of the MMD and UPND.

  22. Ba Dokota, sure. Obviously there will be a marginal increase or decrease. We have not seen any popularity in Sondashi otherwise his party was going to be known. I read the paper every day but i can Not recall it. Mulongoti did not cause any positive emotional movement due to his arrogance. Chitala, basically, this guy who wanted united Africa, has not implemented anything that comes to mind. I just recall him for wearing a cow boy hat. So ba Dokota, please there is no maths hear for us to do with your ka personal opinion which sounds like its coming from hungry man who needs a penny for weekend. Sorry Sir, but it seems you are oblivious to the facts.

  23. Its very true that Sata’s popularity has increased and the chances of him winning this year’s elections are very high..The last presidential by-elections he lost by 35000 votes to RB. That is a voter population of one constituency like Lusaka central..RB rode on Levy’s legacy and had a lot of symphathisers but not anymore..With the blunders he has made so far, his lucks are up..

    Only time will tell.

  24. Mpombo resigned as a full cabinet minister and today is saying SATA is the right man for the job, give me a name of person who has remained in MMD who can stand against Chitala as far as integrity is concernd? he is also saying the same thing. Set the date for election and dissolve parliament….. MMD bloggers you are just programmed political Zombies who will post anything as long as you have food on the table as Mpombo will rihgtly say!!!!!!!!!!! Donchi kubeba!!!!!!!!!!!

  25. The royal wedding is currently on TV and RB nachimukalipa for not beeing invited. It will even be worse when he loses the elections 4 months from now.

  26. Ba LT thumbs up. The economic and social carnage commited by Rupiah plus his self pronounced arrogance has pushed points up for HE Micheal Sata. MMD defectors will be a bonus point. Beware Sata of the new comers some may be opportunists. Screen them just like you screened HH.

  27. Be part of the ballot revolution.
VOTE MICHAEL CHILUFYA SATA AND PF COME 2011.
BEWARE OF SMALL TRIBALL PARTIES WHICH JUST SPLIT VOTES.
VIVA WIND OF CHANGE COME 2011.

  28. # 31 the Zambian ambassador is there. You mean you did not see our professor coming in? By the way, he is doing a good job. Happy watching.

  29. Nondo and co.

A huge motorcarde in Choma right now! Mazabuka an Monze are already abuz with HHmanaia! Its change for real. Say what you like we gonna continue doing what we does and supporting our man! We are singing Nkuyuma yuma HH nkuyuma yuma kuuma kobra kuuma kobra (serpentine) nkuyuma yuma!

  30. Viva Chanda Chimba the 3RD!!!- The new hero on the Block. What an impact you’ve made!! The timing of the programme is prime. Villagers are now armed with the knowledge of the serpent which, over the years had sort of everporated. Keep up with the good work boy!

  31. Dr sure aahhh, who is endorsing sata, I hope you are talking about Ghosts like Mlongoti,Chongwe, Sondashi, Mpombo and the Post newspapers. Dont tell me that these people influence you such that you cant make your own decision. Shameful for this country to have mediocres who think with their stock and not the brain. Isn’t just afew days ago when everybody include you DR something were condemning mlongoti,Mpombo for their nonsensical behaviour of know it all. What a country we have. Look at todays headline in the postnewspapers, so shallow but full of malice. We expect the media to help this country develop by being objective and serious in their reporting. Zambia needs real change and not to force rust minds on our throats.Media should have been squeezing all presidential pretenders on

  32. what they are offering and inform the nation accordingly and this is how it is done elsewhere where the media is civilised and not petty. Does not mean that the media cant have prefered candidate but they endevour to present all candidates to the people and allow fair competiton to take place. That is what democracy is all about. Not this crap called media we have here that is corrupt and compromised. This country will not move forward with mediocrity in the media. Shame on you reporters/editors.

  33. The old man Sata IS NOT very well of late, I hope you guyz know? The man cant stay on his feet for more than 1 hour nowadays. Listening to his rhetorics the other week in Kafue almost made me cry. HE IS A SIMPLY A SHELL. EVEN HIS MIND IS SEMI SANE.

  34. These Phd from correspondence. Iam shocked at what he is lecturing his students. Your analysis and findings are very shallow to grant any newletter publication. I only believe you were not misquotated. WHATEVER CAMPAIGN FOR SATA IT IS A WASTE OF TIME AND RESOURCES. SATA CAN NEVER BE THE PRESIDENT OF ZAMBIA LET ALONE HIS PARTY-HE FEARS CONVENTION A SURE SIGN. AUTOMATED AUTOCRAT. BIG LOSER AGAIN

  35. #35 Support HH that’s your political choice, but is it surprising that HH can have a motorcade and bring the town to a stand still in choma.Thats not news its like you reporting that a dog has beaten a human being nothing out of the ordinary,it is when the human being bites a dog thats when news is made.Like HH bringing the whole of mansa and kasama to a stand still that is something newsworthy.Your president is busy proposing marriage to the wife he is already married to.Why focus on southern province especially choma when its a well known fact that from Mazabuka to kalomo HH will win no matter what.Let him focus on other areas that matter check the latest census results for once and stop wasting time with the current wife who is in the house already.

  36. So change for PF mean recycled food-mulongoti,chitala,judith kapijimpanga, mpombo, sondash same people always Sata and yet you are saying we want change, where???dot we learn a lesson as zambians,we have been crying for poverty then we say we want change when an oppotunity is given we fail to reason who bewicthed us????pa bwato pa bwato, cwe cwe cwe, when its not election year we are crying….”we are suffereing” thats self impossed suffering,we cant say Sata is the change with pipo supporting him,he is the same person we didnt like when he was in GRZ is that change, lets grow to think for the future especially the youths…..vote for real change lets not allow wolves to regroup!!!!!they have stolen enough is enough a vote for PF is a vote for MMD tho in another jacket of suite

  37. Enough said. Sata is the most popular candidates this year. In fact this time around, his popularity is more than 2006 and 2008. Ask people who are close to the government machinery mandated to conduct such private investigation. I find it hard why bloggers even tall about about HH as a factor. All governments in the world have relevant wings to undertake what we bloggers on LT are debating. Do you know why such a big investment in negative propanganda of Chanda Chimba is only concentrated on Sata? Anyone who cant answer this simple question is like someboby drinking Shake Shake but imagining that he is drinking Mosi.Ask all these government leaders who is MMD’s no 1 enemy. Do you remember NCC? Why did they want to bring in the age and qualification clause? To bar Sata simple.

  38. They invited my fience for the the royal weeding. It was non black all whites. I think they still fear HIV.
    Thanks!

  39. The Dr is very right, please go and interact with the people on the ground and carry a survey, you will b shocked what you will find, the COBRA is the peoples favourite as things stand now.HH is not even in the vocabulary of ordinary zeds,he is dead with the pact.RB has messed himself up and you dont need to b a Dr to see what has happened since RB became president. All those that supported RB in 2008 have realised that the man is not what they thought and hence there withdrawal of support.Dispute these facts at your own peril and wheather upnd or mmd like it or not the COBRA stands a better chance.

  40. The calibre of people endorsing Sata for president leaves much to be desired politically. They are failed politicians looking for political jobs, so they will do anything to remain in their doomed political limelight. The calibre of Chitala, Mpombo, Mulongoti, Nawakwi, Chongwe, Panji, Waza, Kabimba, Guy Scott, the Post, (failed) Bishop Mambo, (failed) father Bwalya and others of such calibre do not inspire any serious minded and focused Zambian. We all know about these characters who want to portray that they are the wisest guys around politically today. Those former MMD ministers should know that they contributed to the mess they are busy condemng now. They, including Sata, planted the mess after 1991 becoz they were all in govt at one time. They never even owned up. Shame on them!

  41. Depending on the type of classification or analysis, there is no one who is not re-cycled. If Sata was in MMD, UNIP etc, he held lower post not the one he is vying for. Who would not apply to fill in the position of CEO of his current or different company if he served in lower positions ie meturlugical technician to Production Director, accounts assistant to Finance Director, clinical officer to Medical Doctor, etc. A nurse at UTH though a good worker will not make UTH overall good as he or she is not a policy maker. Only patients seeing her will appreciate her or she. For your information, HH is not immune from MMD ‘s privatization policy. He is re-cycled in the eyes of Zambia’s ill imlements privatization. HH actually sold ZCCM-Luanshya Division to Binani Group of Companies. Is he…

  42. Those endorsing Sata are the ones The post called dull minds and we wonder what impact will dull minds have on PF. I live in Kitwe and I can assure you RB is enjoying massive support from the people he wrote off debts. All people of natwange have defect to the ruling MMD. RB will surely carry the like it or not.

  43. only if you are myopic can you say sata’s popularlity has increased. what is the basis of such a conclusion because from the latest by elections, indicators are that sata is the only candidate whose popularlity has decreased. hh gained new mps and councellors, and did mmd on councellors. pf lost the most so which popularlity???????????? in the post, with mmd rejects or from the most noise makers????? lets be objective and accept that mmd will win easily this year though personally i wanted oposition.

  44. The problem i have with Dr. Ngoma is that he lacks perception on issues. Can nay normal person say that Soondash, Mulogonti, Nawakwi, Panji etc are credible in the eyes of the public? These are the same ifiots who werein MMD and messed up our country and today they are regroupin in PF so that they can completely steal what they left. All those who endorse Sata are not honest as most of them in the past have told the nation that Sata is a bad thief. What has hapened to day? Are they supporting Sata and PF BECAUSE of the good policies they see in PF or they are just broke job seekers? *****s

  45. The Chinese say, the longest journey starts with a single step”. In life small things matter so much. Mind you Sata needs a potential vote whether sympathetic, opputunistic, etc. Nawakwi, Panji, Chitala, Mpombo, Sondashi, Mulongoti have wifes, husdands, children, family members and whether you like it or not because of thier previous political appointments, they have a strong influence on thier immediate clan. Sata is already assured at least 50 free votes from these. The is a normal life phenomen of multiplier effect of these seemily few votes. In politics like football, goals determine the winner whether scored by re-cycled and old guy Ryan Giggs, it is still a goal.Who on earth who tell off somebody not to vote for him just because they differed. One vote will count just like a goal…

  46. #49.rb sold 3000 houses in the whole of zambia.3000!now lets say each has 10 voters, that comes to 30,000.alot,but hardly the massive swell of support.pipo are unemployed and after ba rb’s visit still hav much hope that the situation will be remedied.get pipo jobs please.and I live in kitwe too.

  47. Sata and Rupiah are the same people. Sata is even worse. I dont know why we are so desperate with politicians. Let us wait abit the Zambian messiah will come soon.

  48. It is these people like Dr. Ngoma, Mpombo, Sondash, the Post, Mulongoti, PANJI, NAWAKWI who will make Sata to lose eletions because they are not respected in Zambia.

  49. Mushota,
I thought you had said you were pregnant. Is it by the same clown who is so scared of HIV or it was by artificial insemination?
Dear bloggers let so called opinion makers who from home to lecture room to bottle store and back to their homes say what they want. There is no way on earth Sata is going to beat RB or even HH for that matter in this year’s election, try hard as they may his image builders – The Post. Chanda Chimba III has actually done a better job than what the Post is doing because he does not exaggerate but brings out the antics of the Cobra himself. And it is not debatable that Chanda Chimba has a larger audience which is likely to beleive what he airs.

  50. rupiah boot lickers and benefited guies you are blinkered…

the wind of change is unstoppable :-))
Time is running out, you are going to fall from a height

never mind, we pick you up out of the gutter ;-)

  51. Bye elections are usually for active and registered party members. General elections are for ordinary citizenry and registed cadres and few citizenry who mostly are loafers. Sata’s followers mostly in urban areas are too busy to vote in a parlimentary or ward election because they are busy making ends meet. They have to provide bread and butter no wonder bye polls are not good indicators. Look at the bye elections held between 2006 and 2008. Nchanga, Kankoyo, Kalulushi, etc. Look at the pattern. If someone is doubting about Sata ‘s huge popularity, then you dont know how governments operate-Govts have special wings which gives its leaders information about anything they want to know ie trade data, etc. If fact this time around Sata is ahead even before parliament is dissolved.

  52. Senior Citizen, RB is a well known sex addict who will expire at an orgasm if not swelling on his legs! RB has been in government since 1961 (like Sata, Mwaanga, Munkombwe et al). Surely you and I should meet at a point where we say we don’t need all these “big men” type of leaders. By a whisker of God’s favour RB became President but he he should not have used that anointing as a way of ostracising other leaders within MMD. This is the beginning of the end of MMD! Most of supported MMD like you where is Guy, AKA (in exile), Mbita (former…..), And for you and HH to thrive in wishing Sata ill health after elections, smirks of the devil taking control of your life! Or maybe you are the devil incarnate himself!

  53. Comeon Zambians The Doc has just used a poor method. But the true anlysis is that where Sata is popular that’s where we have a big number of registrerd voters. Some of us say Sata is favoured by Kaponyas, but Kaponyas are a product of MMD which has failed to give them employement since 1991(20 years of unemployement where are you taking us). If you want more Kaponyas vote for MMD and one day they will ponya you. You may say all bad things about Sata but he he is the only alternative at the moment as far as popularity is concerned. Let HH do his home we shall vote for him in 2016, he is the best but not popular.

  54. MAN OF THE MONTH, by elections were not in town they were in village towns where sata traditionally has “huge support” as you call it. my dear, read the times we are in. that huge supoort you are talking about was only seen in 1991 to chiluba. never cheat yourself by elections can be a good indicator though ofcourse not conclusive as a single factor. even where sata won, he won by a smaller margin now than in 2008.

  55. Elections are four months away. This is a long time in politics. A lot might change between now and then. So people should not read too much into the publicized endorsements and defections.

  56. If Sata is not popular, RB woudnt have sold the houses after written off debts. Why are bolggers now shifting goal posts? In 2008 was it not Nawakwi, late Tembo, Mulongoti, Mpompo who supported RB? Just because now they are supporting the Sata, now you say they are not poplu

  57. dragon, and thats what matters otherwise if they were one and the same thing, mmd would have gone in 2001 or 2006 or 2008(mwamukolo/satamania)

  58. characters who support PF and their skeletons

DANNY Pule = fondling and pinching women’s buttocks. hope the PF will allow bishops to marry more than one wife so that he could satisfy his sexual lust.
Mulongoti – Disgruntled. was PEDDLING secrets to PF
Mpombo = wanted to given the presidency after Mwanawasa MHSRIP
Mbita aka bitter chitala – the chap is financially desperate
Panji – not happy with RB ‘s association with Fredrick Chiluba because of the mystery sorrounding his brother’s death during Fredrick’s reign.
who else am still………. counting but anyone can add on to the list.

  59. When some people who were in the forefront calling Mr Sata all sorts names a few months ago started endorsing him as the best candidate for the presidency I was flabbergasted so I asked my grandfather, a self styled political analyst of humble education as to what was happening. He asked to me ” we mwana, bushe tawashiba ukuti balunshi bakonka ifisoso?” literary translated…..”my son don’t you know that flies are attracted by rubbish?” He further asked me ” do you know why rats, cockroaches and other parasites and scavengers are found in some houses and not others?” if you have an answer to this then you will know why people don’nt like people like Gen Miyanda, RB or HH.

  60. I know Nigeria have their own identity Identification in their Clothes. For Instance here in glasgow I can tell A Nigerian by what they were ,they are often tall, and will try if they can to swindle people of money, not all of them but some of them. The trouble is why do Zambians look lost when you see them in Public here, Most look petrified, they smile when they shouldnt , they have no sense of dress code, most will wear a Manchester United top when they go out, its so sad and embarassing. Question I have is this What Identity do Zambian Men have when they come here, why are they petrified. It forces some of us, to lie that we are not from zambia, because most people say , zambia What? Is that a pet dog? My friend lies to people she is south african! What is wrong with us? Thanks

    • Mushota so tell us about yourself?? are you in the same way petrified and lost in public?? you can only lie, its a shame you people are a wrong representation of your own country …. lie about you citizenship??? who cares if a white skinned chap doesnt know where zambia is ?? … i think you collectively need to sit down with your friends and come to the reality of the fact that you are “zambia”, and if you are ashamed to be zambian then its better you where not born.

  61. I have no doubt Mushota is a mental case. She seems to have a bobe to chew with Zambians. Let go my sister, enjoy your new found freedom but put your bitterness aside. You are the one of the few lost Zambians abroad. My experience is that most Zambians who go for school abroad excell. In my class for example, the best graduating student was a Zambian. Now I understand you, you are so overwelmed with the idea of being abroad that you think you have reached heaven. You are there wasting time instead of going to school better still, raise money for your siblings in Kalingalinga. The difference from Kalingalinga to some hole in Glasgore is exciting you and you just can’t believe it. It is either, you went there with an old white man, or as a sex worker or at best, you are an illegal migrant.

  62. Mushota, I now get it. I think your mother is either devorced or a sex worker. You are either a sex worker or you were dumped by a Zambian. All the same, nobody is forcing you to be Zambian, you can change your nationality and Zambia will still exist. Going abroad is no longer a suprise for Zambians….simple makwebo men and women are flying all over and you can’t tell them those fake stories anymore. A good number of Zambians are leading a better life home than most of you, not all ofcause, but bitches like you. I am sure you are being deborned by a Nigerian. Don’t waste your time there loking at a fake life, use it as an opportunity to make money by working honestly and be somebody when the owners of the country will not need you as a migrant and an economic refugee.

  63. Ichishinka chilakalipa.
    Chibaba abale.
The cobra,SATA, stands a hell of a chance.RB is a joke for a PRESIDENT pliz.Hw many constituences (even wards) did MMD ‘grab’ from PF,in recent by-elections?Hw many did PF ‘grab’ from MMD?Give an honest answer. Chilanga Went to UPND bcoz of PF.The Dr. is an academician not a ‘william banda’ and knows what he is talking about.
Ba MMD- Ooooooh mwaomwa.U owez expect an anti-SATA artical on LT.Mwanya!!!

  64. Lasa Lasa thumbs up!!! this shamelss Mushota needs her brains scanned for suspected mental healness. you are being stupid and lacking pride as true zambians (together with those scumbags of your friends) ….. i repeat, you are zambia, so be zambian.

  65. Sata and Hakainde expressly mentioned themselves that the only way they would unseat MMD was by way of the short lived PACT. What logic are these two using now to even remotely believe that either Petrified Fools (PF) or Us.eless Political and Naive Dunderheads (UPND) can win. Very shocking. very shocking indeed.

  66. this stupid bitch calling herself mushota or whatever just sounds so uncivilized and dumb…. i really thought that that kind of perception existed in the late 1990s in zambia or less ….. :-? hello??

  67. this shameless twit calling herself mushota or whatever just sounds so uncivilized and dumb…. i really thought that that kind of perception existed in the late 1990s in zambia or less ….. :-? hello??

  68. #72 YOU REALLY NEED COUNSELING ,IN AS MUCH AS I HAVE TRIED TO IGNORE MOST OF YOUR NONE VALUE ADDING COMMENTS ON THIS SITE ,ITS HAD TO IGNORE.IF YOU ARE NOT A PROUD ZAMBIAN GO AND BLOG ON OTHER SITES THAT WILL VALUE YOUR CHILDISH CONTRIBUTIONS.THE LAST TIME YOU SENT YOUR FOOLISH CV ABOUT THE MBAs AND CIMA QUALIFICATIONS YOU DID ,I GUESS WISDOM DOES NOT COME WITH EDUCATION YOU ARE A TYPICAL EPITOMISATION OF THAT OLD ADAGE .I SHADER TO THINK WHAT WOULD HAVE BECOME OF YOU IF YOU DID NOT HAVE THE PREVILDGE OF SITTING IN A CLASSROOM.LOOKING DOWN UPON YOUR OWN COUNTRY WHAT A SHAME,CHAPS WITH NO CULTURE AND DIRECTION IN LIFE.YOU NEED JESUS IN YOU SHORT LIFE MY FRIEND

  69. Ka Mushota. Go and jump in an acid lake. Who lucks identity between Men and Women. I am sure that right now you have some white womans hair or some sisal as extensions in your hair. Is that what u call identity. We mwana wansokanda iwe. Identity is deep rooted and has got nothing to do with dressing. Get a life byachhhh.

  70. Viva pa bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaatooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! Donchi Kubeeebaa…………….!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2011 is the year of change!!

  71. Donchi kubeba!!! 2011 year of change and Rupia kuya beebele!!! Vote for PF and please no under5s in the race. We need mature politicians as indicated by Ludwig Sondashi PHD Law.

  72. Donchi kubeba bakaimwena abene what nonsense is this???it seem like not telling some one
that there is a pit latrine ahead so that if he proceed he definately falls into the shit, then he
becomes a laughing stalk……Please tell the people what you will do for this country before they
fall in that pit latrine full of shit. At the end of the day i will just have a last laugh.bye

  73. Why should we take Sondashi seriously when in 2006 he told us that Sata is a thug and He, Sondashi, will run away from Zambia should Sata win. First they should tell us what has changed in this same Sata who has been bad all along.

  74. Donchi kubeeba!!! Viva PF and Sata!! Uno mwaka Sata angena mu State House ya Zambia. RB out!! Viva PF!! Donchi kubeeba!!! Wina azalilaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  75. this hule calling herself mushota or whatever just sounds so uncivilized and dumb…. i really thought that that kind of perception existed in the late 1990s in zambia or less ….. :-? hello??

  76. this mushotahule calling herself mushota or whatever just sounds so uncivilized and dumb…. i really thought that that kind of perception existed in the late 1990s in zambia or less ….. :-? hello??

  77. haha, oh please! As if ba Sata can ever win with his ‘I’ll put money in your pocket in 90 days’ nonsense! Wat he fails to tell us is the process and strategy of how this said money will make its was into our pockets. Yaba, dont even have the strength to talk about this moron but i can say this: this guy finds himself into State House, we’re talking a major retrogressive effect on the country. u may say Banda has dictatorial tendencies and that i acknowledge, but believe me, Sata’s potential as a dictator makes wat we’re experiencing under Banda child’s play. as one blogger so wisely put it “I didnt vote for RB coz i liked him, i voted for RB as a vote against Sata’ Can u even picture Sata relinquishing power if he had to become president? We talking Gbagbo my friends.

  78. #83. That was simply a political campaign at that time. He thought RB could do well. But alas State House now is a commercial centre where all sorts of business deals take place between various would be fake investors and Rupia and his sons. What a leader!! Viva PF!! We want change!! Donchi kubeeebbaaa!!!!

  79. #72, You live in a very cheap area and I guess if you came to York, one of the most expensive cities to live in England, we might just show you how to live and co-exist with the locals regardless of gender, nationality or s e x i u a l orientation. I am Zambian born and educated but now a British citizenship. Please stop painting a very misleading and childish picture about african males in Glasgow. Do us a favour, go and look in the mirror and ask yourself if you are worth those men looking at you. I was almost taken in when you talked about forming a charity. If anything, that was the most sensible thing ever said by you. Sorry but I had to respond.

  80. Donci kubeeba!! Uno mwaka, we want total change. Latest, Gaston Sicilima is also bonafide PF member. Together with Prof.Chirwa, Panji, Mpombo, Mulongoti, Masebo, Nawakwi, Sondashi, Sichinga, Mangani, Kavindele etc are all supporting Sata and his PF. Viva pa bwaatoooooooooo!!! Donchi kubeebaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

  81. pffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

  82. Latest!!!!!!!!!!!! Nawakwi and Tiljyenzi have also declared their support for Michael and his PF!!! They are not standing this year but instead have rallied behind King Cobra.. These are good signs. Uno mwaka wa kyangi!!!! By the way i live in Chicago. But at the moment i am on vacation in Mainteneke Ndungu street Chingola Zambia. I was born and grew up in Chingola. I did my form 1 to 3 at Chikola secondary school. Form 4 to 6 at Mpelembe Secondary Kitwe. I have also studied, worked and lived in the UK. Married a Briton and have 3 sons. Now i live in the US. But i still love my home – Zambia!!!

  83. I agree with #78 this kaMushota is one of those women who wear sisal from Tanzania on their heads so that she looks like a white lady. Be proud of what you are webwa we!

  84. Most Zambians are fake!!!!!!!!!!! Please emulate the Nigerians mwe mbwa mweee!!! Ala uno mwaka, ni Donchi kubeebaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! Support Panji and his Team!!!!

  85. a lecturer at unza conducted a very simple exercise.he asked those who supported mmd to stand and move to his right side.then called those who supprted upnd to stand up and move to his left side.lastly asked those who supported pf to stand up.the following thing he started asking their names and the result was shocking all those who supported pf where either from luapula or northern and those supported mmd were from eastern the same fo upnd the simple conclusion is in zambia we vote according to the tribes and it is difficulty to tell who is going to win the elections.

  86. Dr. Ngoma has no monopoly of intellectual knowledge to Zambian political dynamics. As a Political Scientist, his analysis should have been broad-based rather than base on pronouncements of Mpombo and Mulongot, who originate from Lamba dynasty. PF claims it is geeting support from Western Province, but is silent on its downfall in Luapula Province. Sata’s political fight with Mwanawasa was enhanced by Chiluba who popolarized PF in Luapula & Copperbelt provinces. Sata turned against Chiluba when the latter transfered his support to RB who restored respect to a former President. People of Luapula will not forgive Sata for insults pelted at Chiluba and majority of MPs led by Dr. Machungwa. It is difficult for Lozis to ignore Mr. Milupi and give support Sata. Dr. Ngoma must be objective.

  87. # 90,

Hahahahahaaah! Its amazing that in this time and age one can be counting on the migration of these cyclical political vagabonds without utility value.Do a utility analysis and understand that Nawakwi, Sondashi, Chongwe, Chitala, Mulongoti, and Panji have no political constituency or following in this country. They are all nshaupwa bwini-maliposa sofia shoes. Politically these on the the marginal utility curve begun way in the positive range of values, but eventually intersected the horizontal axis, then entered the extreme negative range of diminishing returns. Simple political economy there. They cannot even manage to carry a parliamentary anywhere in the parts of Zambia. Common they have all been seasonal crostitute in every election with 4 movements in 10 years.

  88. They are all nshaupwa bwino-maliposa sofia shoes without Marginal Value on the Marginal Utility Curve. What issues can they mount on in view the mess 100 percent attributed to their predatory years in public life RB is tenaciously undoing?

  89. The time has come for the vast majority of Zambians to call a spade a spade. People can get pretty desperate. One example of desperation by PF supporters is getting played out by people such as this Dr Alex Ng’oma and Peter Mwaba of ZCTU providing fake election analysis. It is funny if not tragic that PF and the propaganda apparatus at the Post is so desperate to get people to the 1991 mode where people were thinking through the heart instead of the brain. The Rupiah Banda haters have no leverage and it’s high time they stopped playing this fool’s game. In 1991 Inflation was over 200% but now it is at 8.8%, and we have seen unprecedented investments in mining and agriculture sectors over the last 20 years. How schools have the MMD government built in the last 20 years?

  90. Mushota, mushota, mushota!!! sorry that there are some pipo who still even consider yo trash on this blog. As for me i knew from the very fisrt few postings you made that you are a solola bien. Thanks i never even consider you zedian. But please take yo frustration away coz you may just be bruised beyond recognition. No wonder i have placed you among the legendary comedians zed has ever seen, but i withdraw that, save to say uli kasushi saana not worth even existing!!!

  91. Some of the Political analysts at UNZA leaves much to be desired. Are these Guys lectures or what? Because the caliber of such lecturers is indeed questionable and no wonder the students from UNZA are what they are today.

How on earth can Sondashi, Chitala, Mpombo, Shaka, Mulongoti influence an upright thinking Zambian?

All these thugs were eating from the MMD Pot. Have you taken time to analyse what led to their defections one by one.

I need Senior citizen to explain so people may know. In a nut shell they are no where near a factor in modern Zambian Politics. They are instead political holigans who what to reap where they never sow. Apparently this time around there is no harvest with PF as the floods will wash away both the crop and the boat.

    VIVA MMD, RB, VJ,

  92. Mushota is too intelligent. Each time she posts she knows how commoners would react. And it sends her laughing.

  93. Every time I read something from Senior Citizen, I do so with a strong, but genuine sense of sadness and trepidation that we have people like this in our country. God Bless my Beloved Country Zambia.

  94. Uno mwaka we are busy exorcising MMD demons from our beautiful country Zambia.
    Rupia Banda Stanist! come out!
George Kunda Fuma! Lusifa! Vernon Mwanga, Legion the chief demon zwa! William banda the demon of violence Choka!

  95. Its a pity that Sata has worked so hard to build his party but probably may never rule becoz he lacks people in his inner circle to advise him objectively. If Sata had smart advisors he would some day be President. How can Bo Inonge Wina say Western Province has shifted to PF? On what basis is she making that statement? Has she conducted a poll? Or did we have a string of bye-elections in Western province that were won by PF? There is no doubt that Sata will be competitive in the coming elections but whether enough to make win is a big question. Right now Sata has no single province that he will win by 80% margin. And secondly, Sata is only popular in 4 ( i.e. Copperbelt urban, Lusaka urban, parts of Northern & Luapula) out of 9 provinces.

  96. Guys, Mushota is the real deal, coz she knows how to enertain and provoke bloggers, Mushota walya iwe I also live in Britain and am very educated probably just like you. I rest my case.

  97. mushota…please get back on your medication…its not even not yet a full moon. you just made me puke onto my key board. you are a colossal embarrassment of true education and great opportunities.

  98. VIVA WE HAVE MADE UP OUR MINDS MY VOTE IS FOR SATA NO ONE WILL EVER CHANGE MY THINKING AND MY CHOICE!I CAN’T WAIT FOR THIS BIG DAY,ONCE I CAST MY VOTE I WILL MAKE SURE I DEFEND IT BY SLEEPING OUTSIDE THE POLLING STATION..IF YOU STILL MY VOTE BE REST ASSURED ITS GONNA BE JIHAD..PVT A MUST!!!!

  99. Ati most people are eager for change,,,, sends a chill up my spine! does this ring a bell in anyone? anyone at all?? remember the hour and voting for change just for the sake of it? sadly i was one of those who fell into that trap

  100. This distasteful attempt by Dr Ng’oma to use Chongwe, Mbita, Nawakwi, Panji and Mpombo who are essentially pseudo-revolutionaries in worn out shoes and the very symbols of the political failure is evidence of how desperate disgruntled elements want to have a stooge in state house. We were under the impression that the point of journalistic editorials was to make a value judgment, but alas this is not the case with Post editors who work in tandem with the likes of Dr Ng’oma. People of Western Province are free to give Sata their vote, but they must understand that PF is ethnically skewed.

  101. I almost wanted to go but I decided against it. Going all the way to London to listen to a greedy, spent, manipulated politician to help him break the record of being in three consecutive governments, No way! We need fresh blood for the government of Zambia to deliver any meaningful prosperity.

  102. If it were easy to put the big, meaningful things we believe will make our country better – if it were quick – Sata(or someone in his govts) long before Rupiah Banda showed up.

  103. If it were easy to put the big, meaningful things we believe will make our country better – if it were quick – Sata(or someone else in his previous govts) would have done those things long before Rupiah Banda showed up(‘for the second time in politics’) from his farm in Chipata.

  104. Mushota ulikapuba sana *****. sleeping in a car pot does not make u car. if u r not a sex worker then u r only there 2 learn n will come back 2 add value 2 ur country not 2 start thinking ati wasanguka umusungu apapene pantu waile na man’ga kumolu nombaline. Ubututu stupid, wachepa amasambililo.

  105. vyakulola vye nokumvwa kufuma kubasambilila politics is a dirty game I query the last minute defects Beware of bogus defectors some are spies they will make pabwato sink before sunset

  106. Doctor Alex Ng’oma a political scientist and senior lecturer in the school of Humanities at the University of Zambia has said that the pronouncements are likely to influence voters in favour of Mr. Sata ahead of the forthcoming elections.[This Chimbuya will not help bwana Dr Alex!]

  107. SATA WILL NOT WIN BY COLLECTING CORRUPT PEOPLE………….THEY ALL NEED TO GO!

PF CADRES SLAG OFF NAWAKWI, MPOMBO,MULONGOTI AND OTHERS WHEN THEY WERE SUPPORTING MMD BUT LOOK HOW ANGELIC THEY ARE TRYING TO BE NOW TO THEM….TYPICAL F.O.O.L.S!

  108. Its amzing how angry some people are over Sata’s endorsements, the question is,who is endorsing RB? the answer is simple,NO ONE.And some of you bloggers have gone to the extent of saying those endorsing him are failures.Maynard Musepa resigned from mmd as Minister to join PF and he is now an MP,would you call him a failure? Today the POST outsells all the GVMNT run newspapers in Zambia, would you call the post failures. The list goes on,open your eyes and and see things as they are.RB won 2008 through Western province which evidently he has now lost to PF so out of the 9 provinces if 5 go to SATA, 1 to HH of course how many does RB have do the math.

  109. @123.dont know about lusaka and luapula and northern, but am sure about copperbelt. He still the man..But will dont think sata really has swept western.h3e gained ground for sure, but not swept it.and by election indicate that he still has agrip on northern and the mansa police brutality fiasco didnt do RB any favours. So you can forgive 122 for clinging on to past figures..I expect HH to do most of the gainin in western province and do a bit of damage in nortwestern…

  110. Amid these endorsements, can someone put up an injunction on this cap Chanda Chimba III so that his rubbish can come to an end….

  111. Somebody has correctly pointed out that Patriotic Front (PF) cannot bring meaningful change to Zambia because it has become a dumping ground for recycled and disgruntled politicians.
No further comments. Vote for real change, vote HH.

  112. Good to hear the 134 comments from people of Zambia. Allow me to tell u what is on the ground. Blve u me, Iam the full cabinet Minister but Iam forced to submit my comment bcoz I hve seen that Zambian pipo are lost. Iam not going to teo u who u shud vote 4 but Iam here 2 toe u that 11 ministers whom I know are jst wainting for that time. U shall see how many are defecting from the ruling party. We know that WE shall not make it this time as MMD. I eat with THE PRESIDENT &this much HE knows that we will not make it. Thats why he is crying to avoid PVT so that maybe we can be helped. THIS IS THE FACT.Think twice. Dont quarrel people of Zambia. Things are bad. I dont want u to remain blind. Be warned. Change is there period! Iam a Minister revealing a secret to u & Iam sorry to my boss.

  113. But the MMD is also crying for the same recycled and disgruntled MPs, so what are you saying? You guys supporting MMD, i think you deserve to have you heads checked really. because you all seem to be supporting on impulse without considering the big picture. Most of you postings do not make sense or simply add up am fed up with you and your mmd.

  114. Am much eager for change myself.but de problem with u guys is that u want to de government not for de better but for de worset.Honestly can u support HOMOSEXUALITY in our christian nation? can u opt to chase de chinese when they are developing our country
(ndola stadium) ?All PF supporters are like polices who go out to maintain order and peace foolishly using live bullets instead of rubber bullets which harm other en of course losing lives of pipo.”MIND U SATA IS LIKE THESE FOOLISH POLICES WHO WILL HARM MANY ZAMBIANS” Hey guys lets be serious we cant legalise homsexuality in zambia GOD forbid. O’LORD COME TO OUR RESCUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  115. “ALLOWING SATANA GO TO STATE HOUSE IS LIKE KEEPING EXPLOSIVES UNDER YOUR OWN BED” WE DONT WANT HIS DESPERACE TO TAKE HIM TO STATE HOUSE.ALL WELL MEANING ZAMBIANS WILL VOTE FOR A CHRISTIAN ORIENTED PERSON IN ORDER TO ASHAME THE DEVIL WHICH IS IN SATA.. “O’LORD HELP US”

  116. #4 Good observation. Since Sata failed to climb the stairs over three weeks ago he has been sick and taking a rest! Did you hear him make noise during Easter? No. And of course the Post can not report ….. unless it was Kunda who was sick then then they by now been predicting his demise.

  117. Just a humble observation!!! It’s very enocouraging to realize that our level of political involvement of the general populace has reached such mature levels. In politics we are allowed to disagree and voice our views. However let us remember that altimately it is how we move forward collectively as a nation that determins our VICTORY! One Zambia, One Nation! ZAMBIA NIYANTU TONSE!!!!!
