President Banda

President Rupiah Banda has launched another web -site www.presidentbanda.com/map today.

The new web-site is a new Map of Developments that visitors can see where regeneration and development is taking place in Zambia.

To assist those who are unaware of where developments are progressing in Zambia, President Banda is today launching a ‘Map of Development’ on his site at www.presidentbanda.com/map.

Visitors to the map can zoom in and out to get greater detail; they can view developments by province and by five different sectors which show, amongst others, developments in health, education, jobs created, and infrastructure projects.

This is contained in a statement to ZANIS by the President’s Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations Dickson Jere.
And Unveiling the map, President Banda said: “I love this map because it shows everybody what development is really going on in Zambia. Next time somebody says nothing is being done in Zambia, show them this map.

Everybody can look at the map and see that development is taking place right on their doorsteps, in all provinces and all regions.

“Developing tomorrow’s Zambia is not guided by party loyalty, by religious belief or which tribe you are from.

It is done by genuine need and it is for all Zambians. I cannot wait to see the map when all the information is on it. Let this map be proof that when I said I would be a President for all Zambians, I really meant it.”

Data is being entered in reverse order by date and it is hoped to have as many entries as is possible. As there are a lot of entries to deal with, visitors that are being asked to bear with the data entry team.

The map is updated each Thursday. Pins are indicated and placed as close to the actual locations as possible. But in areas of high development, it is not always possible to hit an exact plot or location.

  1. That site is NOTHING, NO New Information or statistics! Whatever has been put there is what you see on ZNBC TV, and hear on Radio 1,2,4, and read in Times of zambia, Daily mail. So no need for that site!!

  2. But how many Zambians have access to computers and the internet? Rupiah must have looked into the issue of accessibility by the majority of Zambians first before launching his new dating website

  3. Last time i went into an internet cafe to browse through world news sites. Oh my God!!! The site kept “loading” for about 1 hour, i just left in frustration!!!!

  4. Who ever is misadvising the President should be sacked. These lauches will never take the Alla Bee anywhere because he has never listened to the people for a long time.He used to boss us(Zambians) when we were complaint of the costs of his travells, Corruption and MMD sponsored violence. Now, where has his know it all attitude taken him?. Lauching this, lauching that which clearly demonstrate a serious state of panic in plot.why? because the time he was suppose to work he has busy travelling around the world. OLD MUSHUMFWA.

  5. Ati “the map is proof”. A map can show any old b**ls**t you want it to show. Lack of brain cells in our govt is embarrassing

  6. “President Banda greets Pupil after officially openning her School” Really!!!!

By the time these elections are over, anyone close to the mmd campaign team will be laughing all the way to the bank

  7. Well done BOSS. Now i can track progress in my beloved country. This is transparency. Action man. Dont worry about these sceptics doubting every progress. They believe the lies of a snake. Very soon the snake is going to kill itself with its own vernom. Just wait and see. We are not f00lish in order to easily forget. Even under 5 sensed it.

  8. Yaba elomupwile ba RB. Why are you panic if you know that you have worked? Its too late madala for you. No project at this will change the minds of people. We have already decided. VIVA SATA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. Education of a wise and creative leader is always an asset to a country. Again this is first initiative of its kind a pragmatic pro-development leader has given to foster information while others are gripped in rehearsing insults. MMD leads others follow.

Information is power. Pay ZANIS to take this data to all parts of Zambia on their most effective mobile communication assets. Very proud Zambian. Nafuti Nafuti.

    BRAVO!

  10. This is a Joke, Is this man 100% sane, what kind of advisors does he have, because when you think of a whole load of crap like this as part of your presidential campaign, surely someone ought to be able to mention that its bull and the people of Zambia are not kids.. They wilI see through his brainless chicken head. I clicked on Luanshya. ati New Investment, some Chinese company trading in Livestock, number of employees, 8, done in 2009..WHAT???

  11. I have never seen such kind of desperation and propaganda from any of the past Presidents. RB and his vuvuzelas are so viscious that is why the only person who contend such propaganda is SATA. IT NOW EXPLAINS WHY MMD IS SO DAMN SCARED OF HIM. Chanda chimba, chifire Lifwekelo and independents churches have been hired at great costs to discredit SATA. These have created lies and even edited a statement by SATA to cheat the entire nation that SATA supports gaiys and lesbians.IT is a shame even our honourable higness/Chiefs are also being used. It is a great pity and a huge shame pa Zed

  12. Today 3000 women clubs benifit the 15 billion kwacha empowerment fund
Exactly 3000 women clubs have benefited from the 15 billion kwacha empowerment funds that was allocated to the ministry. More women in the country should apply for the funds so as to be beneficiaries of the empowerment funds that could change their lives against self alignment with the insulting club of doomed political losers in town.

  13. During a visit to the mental asylum, a visitor asked the Director how do
you determine whether or not a patient should be institutionalized.

‘Well,’ said the Director, ‘we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a
teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty
the bathtub.”Oh, I understand,’ said the visitor.’A normal person would use the bucket because it’s bigger than the
spoon or the teacup.”No’ said the Director, ‘A normal person would pull the plug.
Do you want a bed near the window?” Think before you criticize…you might just be like our visitor here!

  14. Ba Mutangazya, please stop the lies, Sata was recorded when he made the staement on homosexiality. If he had priciples he would stand by his tatement and not running scared as if he just saw a shark. The coward, he believes in nothing.

  15. WITHIN 2 YEARS RB HAS SHAMED POLITICAL LEAPERS TRAPPED IN DOOMED PROPHESIES
YES PRESIDENT Rupiah Banda has shamed prophets of doom and those that doubted his capacity of bringing development to Zambia as witnessed by massive development projects worth billions of Kwacha around the country. Like or hate it the development projects that the president had initiated were a clear testimony of his commitment to alleviate the suffering for the people of Zambia. Zambians want this and not gays and lesbian solicitation crusaders.

    • thats truly Mr senior citizen RB is bringing development to Zambia. Zambians should understand that what ever RB is doing no one will take away, surely he has done it and is still doing it for Zambians. he has my vote

  16. The website is for those who are interested to know what deveopments are taking place in their country. RB is not forcing any one to visit the site. It is a free country. If you don’t like it keep away.

  17. At least a website shows a progressive way of thinking. Zambian society has a tendency in seeing only the negative in anything. I personally will not be voting for any of the candidates because i have no reason to, however i would rather maintain the status quo as opposed to settling for more mediocrity from another individual who had an opportunity yes he worked and pilfered the coffers (Mezaf flats anyone? check The post archives yes the post wrote many an article on this scandal) Gentlemen ladies its simply about knowing where your bread is buttered all these politicians have been members of at least 2,3 even more political parties. Leopards and spots people, leapords and spots. Monkey out of the jungle, but jungle not out of the monkey filya Mo Fire

  18. Good to know what is going on. Our research students will research the progress on the projects.

  19. Eat that PF cadres http://www.presidentbanda.com/map.aspx
RB has a lot to show off, ask Sata to make a map of what he did when he was in MMD….. it will be blank.

  20. just from looking at the website..wow RB is innovative and Educated for sure, the man has the heart for Zambia and he wants to c that every1 be equall by removing disparitiz which has characterised our nation for long. The man knows how inportant information is in development.thanx to IT. cant wait to c him till 2016.

  21. I have seen the map! But then there is no legend (or have I missed something). What does the “Other” checkbox signify or mean??? There is too much of “has commissioned” “has introduced”, “has planned”… nothing really tangible to write home about. As they go backwards to November 2008 I am sure they will suddenly delve into the last 40 years…

  22. The initiative is not a bad one, if only he had done this right from the beginning. The opposition have really started to give H.E.R.B. sleepless nights because he is trying very hard to establish his relevance to Zambian politics, haaaa, if only it could be like this all the time. You know that the s**t has hit the fan when the President forgoes a foreign trip (sending GK to represent him in Abujah) to stay in house and kick up his campaign. Wishing Zambia a very peaceful election, may the best man win!!

  23. Iwe Chi Senior Citizen just a question! Do you know RB personally? The way you support him you will be the next William Banda!

  24. that website is a great idea, I’ve had a look and I must admit it’s quite informative particularly when you hear from critics that nothing is going on in the country.

  25. Why the F**** does the website name have his name in the address when its meant to show the development taking place. Is he going to shut down when goes this summer or we will have to the name MORONS !!!!
