Government has dismissed as false, assertions that Patriotic Front-PF Kasama Central Member of Parliament Geoffrey Mwamba funded some road projects in his constituency.

Mr Mwamba popularly known as ‘GBM’ has been challenged to state which roads he has funded.

Works and Supply Minister Gabriel Namulambe says it is wrong for politicians to mislead the public in order to gain cheap political capital out of Government funded road projects.

The Minister was speaking at a media briefing at his office Monday morning.

He said road projects in Kasama and Northern Province in general started way back in 2006, before Mr. Mwamba assumed duties of a parliamentarian.

Mr. Namulambe disclosed that Government has rehabilitated nine point four kilometres of township roads in Kasama, at a cost of over six point three billion Kwacha.

And Mr. Namulambe has disclosed that materials for the construction of the 1.3 Trillion Kwacha Mongu-Kalabo road have arrived in the country.

He says major works on the road will start in the first week of August.

And the Minister says Government is sourcing for funds to reduce the timeframe of works on the Chipata-Mfuwe Road project from four to two years.

  1. Gross Body Mass – Forget what roads this man funded, he needs a treadmill since beating his wife has not helped him lose weight.

  2. I dont even know where u get these pipo. Ni grade shani icivine ci GBM? poor Zambia. Kulatolafye nafi Satanist nomba ati ba MP.

    • Gbm is a millionaire +++ in both £ & $ what are u doing in SA trying to make Ka ngwee Ka?

    • You will die with your degree without any dignity. You will never be respected like GBM is. You will never sleep in similar Hotels where GBM sleeps. At the end of all, you will all die.

  3. This fat pig is becoming big headed, does he know how much it costs to tar a road? All his money cannot even tar 10 kilometers.

  4. Mwebantu,GBM is a successful business man.whatever his education levels are,i dont know but i know that he is one of the richest people in ZED.Leadership is not about education, how many university graduate MPs do we have in ZED? very few.

    • Google list of rich men in Zambia and see if this mass of human flesh appears anywhere in the top 100 rich people in Zambia! He just masquerades around that he has lots of money but the truth is he is just a big fat empty tin, good for wife battering.

    • No 4.1 I have googled. I found the list and the foot notes reads as I cut and paste here”There is no confirmation of this information and its credibility is highly doubtable”. The other list had Dr Kaunda, Dr Chiluba and others. Please note that Zambian records are very poor.

  5. GBM is the sort of leaders you need in zed. He is already rich (never mind the A levels and uni and 1 year postgrad projects which can be done in cooking inshima. With GMB, you are garanteeted with someone who is NOT going to steal as he’s got money already and creates thousands of jobs for our jobless people as it is!!! you #1 and #2 fcuk off!!! Unlesds you wand Dora silliya to install a non-fuctioning satellite at your airport, then steal from zamtel!!

  6. It was also reliaboly reported that GBM promised the people of Chipata that he will buy out all the maize bags in Eastern Province. Indeed, PF style of campaign means telling huge LIES (ubufi). If GBM’s Luxury Coaches under the trade name of GERMINS are rarely seen on many routes, where will GBM source the money to buy maize in Eastern Province? Although Sata loves to be surrounded by crooks and violent men, he will not allow GBM to divert a cent of the hard-earned $45million from Thaiwan to buy maize as believes the Ngonis deserve to starve. Besides, politics have also cost Marx Motorways the business it used to enjoy on many routes. What a team. What if such men took over the reigns of Govt, the Billions of Kwach will disappear under thick smoke.

  7. have to say I have had a good laugh at the wit on here, maybe we should be a bit more tongue in cheek in the future and try not to be annoyed at the same old things……..laughter is such a tonic….
    and I certainly need it.

  8. GBM is right he funded some roads in kasama , how can the whole minister of works report that Government has rehabilitated 9.4km in kasama at a cost of more than 6billion kwacha is this the development you can boast of? what percentage of roadnetwork is 9.4 in kasama township only? Please ba PS give these ignorant ministers proper figures if its true they have done 9.4km their was no need kuzisebana by announcing. I know we have a competent team of Engineers at RDA including our PS works and supply they are technically sound , get the facts clear from these guys before you bwata bwata

  9. Namulambe, are you serious, or have you just finished one of those late drinking sessions with our “High-thigh throwing” stars, a.k.a dora “silly”? 9km for 6.3B Kw – is this a joke, that you are really proud of??? You guys are really pocketing dough, IT IS JUST RIGHT TO BOOT YOU OUT BEFORE YOU BURY OUR LOVELY NATION!!!

  10. Iived in Kasama from 2006; I would say about 40 km of roads have been tarred/resurfaced within the town from what I have seen. The Minister should get better data

  11. It’s true people of Kasama are aware of what GBM is claimimg. He has even assisted to put up a better market structure at Kasama location.

  12. GBM the wife-batterer is now trying to re-invent himself as a benevolent liar!! What a shame…that’s why PF is doomed to lose elections. PF leaders are never serious, they think this is a joke and that Zambians are fools. To be honest, does he feel any conscience to lie to his people, his own town like that? Even for those people defending him, what does that say about them. I know a lot of Kasama citizens who are extremely smart, but I fear that they will be lumped together with the rest of the daft, clueless, supporters who are supporting GBM just for the hell of it even when they know it is not GBM to suffer from their decision not to criticise him – it will be themselves to suffer….and then they will turn around and blame RB and MMD for their suffering. Typical…!!!!

  13. We don’t want situations where individuals start doing work for the government. We need policies and procedure in place. MPs are a conduit between the people and the government, also are law makers. The government is responsible for developing the country. PF and MMD scrap people are really tired we need fresh blood
