  1.  I remember playing “incimpombwa” with the Sunzu boys in Ndola. At that time their dad was playing as a goalie for Railway Express. Actually the Sunzu’s are originally Congolese from where their father was poached by Railway Express club.

  2. If am  not  mistaken Zambia will  be  face Ghana  in the  semifinals, give  as  true  information pliz! and # 1 where  some 1 comes  from dosen’t matter what  matter is  the pasport he  holds!!

  3. #1 Muzungu,
may be that Congo thing explains his current hair cut style – alemoneka kwati cuni!! Anyhow, he is doing very good at AFCON, his goal was classy!

  4. How old is this guy really,if he is 22, then it means at 15 he was a regular at Blades, kuti wapapa, He is a good player though

  5. Zambians you like talking about foreigners, abanenu they use foreigners wisely, they have brought proud to their adopted country(s) nomba pa zed ati ni foreigner we will never succeed nga nifyo. Nangu alikwata potential ati ni  foreigner.

    • I disagree: foreigners are never liked anywhere in the world. No matter how rich, clever or industrious you can be; for as long as you are not one of them, you will be feeling it in every part of your life. Certainly we do feel that way in Europe my friend, especially during elections.

  6. Fellow bloggers I have nothing against his  nationality but merely giving out data to some of you who never knew. If anything I am proud because from our group playing incimpombwa those days in Ndola at Green Village a number have progressed to professional careers, Justin Mwilima, some guy named Moseley who played for ZESCO United and Green Buffaloes though I have been told that he passed on and the same Sunzu brothers.

  7. Very solid at the back. I do not care were he comes from. There are very few Zambians who can claim to be fully Zambian. Please stop telling us lies about playing Chimpombwa with him. You have no way of proving that, even the Congolese story.

  8. its amazing how much we wamt to write on issues that dont matter. Lets concentrate on the Ghana game it will be a match to watch.Eyes on the ball ,GO BOYS GO.

  9. Its very true the Sunzu’s come from Congo, I was born in Chingola currently in Chililabombwe. The family is full of futbolas, the yung sister also plays in Congo woman’s soccer. I used to play futbo with her before she went to Congo but to me that does not matter coz am happy with his playing for the Chipolopolo.
Ama years these guys they lie too much, that yung sis of hers is the 1 whose support to be 22yrs I think even more than that Spophira shud be 25yrs & above, atleast chamano he has bot the father a house & some cars.

  11. The combination of Sunzu & HH ( not dat tonga politician) has made our central defence firmly solid. Keep up da good work boys! And Renard….. your days are numbered.

  12. actualy muzungu is very right stophira is from congo they came from congo together with the father felix and stayed in Ndola

  13. Who cares if he comes from the moon or wherever? The lad is doing a great job for our country. He’s Zambian by birth. Stop the PHD syndrome!

  14. 10 KCI,For your own info my late father was the patron of the former Railway express club in Ndola as well General Manager (N) for Zambia Railways from 1990 to 1995 and it is that period when Felix Sunzu senior was brought from Congo to play for Railway Express.I used to go to Musa Kasonka Stadium every weekend to watch Railway Express play.

  15. Some bloggers are already having a go at each other about Sunzu’s roots. By the way my father is Tswana and my mother is Zambian, does it really matter?
LT, is it spotlight or a profile?

  16. Most people in copperbelt are either congolese or mozabicans or malawiand and west africans backgrounds,,,,,,that is why we need dual nationality brought in asap so that we can tap talent that is all over,,,

  17. # 18 I strongly doubt your information about the Sunzus. I know for sure Felix Snr played for Konkola Blades as a goalkeeper, am not sure he ever played for Railway Express. By the way, Copperbelt clubs were full Congolese born players the likes of John Lumbwe, Chris Kaoma at Nkana, Tshikala Mwanza at Mighty, Kituka at Warriors and many others. Some even played at national team level, so there is no big deal about it, half of our national in palying in Congo DR.

  18. Their is no denying that half of most on cb are foreigners,,,,Thats the way it is,,,!!!The sooner we except the better for all..:x

  19. If Sunzu came from Congo so what ? In German national team there is Boteng from Ghana but we have never heard and seen any pointing fingers for being a foreigner , yes let’s talk about the next game against Ghana , osati ivo vamene mukamba.

  20. forget the origins of the brother and look at what he can do. we zambians are known for too much talk and little litle brother-biulding, look at the coach, he was criticised to the point of frustration in 2008, when he was re-called he was recieved with the same critiques and ridicuel, well here we are now his comment when he just came was although not verbatim… “TALK IS FOR ZAMBIANS BUT MINE IS WORK”, say what now… learn to be optimistic support, shame!! GO CHIPOLOPOLO GO HEAVE R GO!

  21. And we need chinese, Indian and white boys in the Zambia national team. And you people should know that the Governor of Katanga province is Congo is Zambian, and he is owner of TP Mazembe where Zambian players are developing talent.

  22. guys amajelasi yalepaya. just encourage the boy to work even harder for mother zambia.

this age cheating thing, as bad as it is, seem to be a norm to africans. when are we gonna be honest with this? kaya. anyway, good lucky chipolopolo.

  23. Just take a look at the French national team since 1997 and ya know what am talking about. Let’s talk about the game on Wednesday….Zambia will beat Ghana 2-1. Send in your best wishes to the boys in Bata so they can overcome the Black Stars……..go boys go we are 100% behind you. By the way I am Zambian by birth and an American by naturalization so what…! am having a blast both ways.

  24. number one very stupid, if you don’t have something to comment on, just shut your smelling mouth. you want to destroy someone’s future by allowing investigations.

    • You are a s.t.u.p.i.d and i.g.n.o.r.a.n.t fool. what investigations? I am wondering what type of nose you have to smell my mouth all the way from where ever you are to China. In case you cannot use your internet to search simple facts here is the Wikipedia link to Felix Sunzu jr and a mention of Felix snr:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Felix_Sunzu. Use your internet wisely and not ukubosa fye kwati nimbwa iyi kwete insala.

  25. It is not true that the Sunzus are congolese…Felix Sunzu Snr was goalie for Konkola Blades before he moved to Railway Express….lies. Do not distract us from the Chipolopolo victory tonite.

  26. Go Chipolopolo!!! The Fox has got the tactical bit sorted i believe, the team has great team spirit and had the technical nous to sort out the Black Stars,i think this game will be won in midfield elo Mensah nga ale teyako he will most likely get sent off for bringing Mayuka one too many times Mensah is a strong defender but is quite slow so should be exposed by our pacy forwards

  27. what is zambian.weather sunzu is from Angola or congo, Malawi the boy was born in Zambia and stop the foolisness of saying you used to play ichimpobwa nankwe we kula lya muntu. You have no shame iwe mambala i think yakunyokola njala mambala.I like the hair style and the fitness of stopira sunzu asamoah taitambile bwino.Sungu go forward my man and no one will ever investigate you be a proud Zedian. Look and Vandem and Steve segal the guys are not americans but they have made that great nation proud.Go zambia goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo jealous iwe mbuli malabishiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
