  1. This has indeed united the whole nation, especially after huge concerns of people talking about tribalism. One Zambia One Nation. Thank God.

  2. Very poor crowd control, that is a huge security risk at the airport to have unscreened people next to a plane in these unsafe days.I suppose this triggered the dismissal of Dr Malama in my view.

    • That’s the problem with us Zambians abroad. Just because you are a security guard and are now well acquainted with security jargon such as “Crowd Control”, you think you’re more educated than our fellow brothers and sisters back home. Mwandini bane such moments are to be revered in the best way possible as they come once in a life time. Chilekeni chi kamalonda chilelila.

  3. I do not know what these pictures serve to show?

Yes there was these over the top celebrations and we have seen enough of these pictures

    LT why rub it in?

I was to see the status of the roads in zambia I left mini dams in the mid of them, The market was riddled with flies on the food being sold there, there was dust, everything looked wrong

Have we changed? Show us reasons of wanting to visit a country that i have invested in a lot by sending a lot of my clothes over £100 in the last year or so gifts

Give me a reason to smile about because I am not

    Thanks

    • Mushota, kwena ee!!! U r boasting of sending £100 worth of salaula, sure???? U need sectioning now I believe. As for the celebrations, dont even go there. Ur fiancé’s country has never smelt a continental cup. The entire UK still lives in distant past glory of 1966. Your fiancé is in fact envious right now. He wishes he was Zambian while stupid u wishes u were Scottish. Shame on u.

    • Balanced view
For your information,Mushota actually has biological items that would identify him/her as man.Mushota is a he and not a she

    • Whether in potholes, poverty whatever it DONT MATTER NOW WE ARE HAPPY WISH WE COULD SEND OUR HAPPINESS VIA THE NET TO YOU SIMPLETON!

    • :-w SHAME ON YOU BA MUSHOTA ATA!!!!!ur a disgrace to all of us zambians living outside zambia!!!!u better change ur nationality if ur not proud to be zambian!!!!! if ur so concerned about the roads and negative things about our country lets see u run for president with that $100 of yours!!!!!mxm

    • It beats me why you leave comments on LT. If you really hated Zambia that much do not let everybody know about it. The only reason you come back is that this is the only place where you can have some form of belonging. Having lived in England for almost decade I know how it feels to be away from home no matter how backward you may peceive it to be. Humble yourself young lady … Home is home.

    • For someone who desperately wants not to Zambian, why havent u taken up British citizenship? U must be an illegal claiming to be educated. I wonder who will catch u first, a Psychiatrist to section u for mental health treatment or the UK Border Agency to deport u back to the country u despise. Wait, for soon either of these will catch up with u soon.

    • Bushe nga mwatuma tusalaula nishi mwachita invest? Perhaps you should do a certificate in economics then you may understand what investment is!

Please stop exposing your “Scottish intelligence” to the public.

    • Mr(s) Mushota whatever you are!!! Here in the UK where you live or pretend to have a life, even as well paved the roads are… what do you have to show for it? Riotous behaviour and what???? Let the Zambians enjoy their success… if you cant find even a moment of enjoyment in your own country’s success you dont deserve to be a Zambian… CHANGE YOUR NATIONALITY.. what is £100 compared to the joy and elation we feel? Shame on you..

    • Mushota, you are a disgrace to yourself & not to Zambia. Why are you planning to play intellectual when we in Zambia are the best people to comment on our state of affairs? You are one of those cowards who left abroad for greener pastures only to find that water bills are also high on that side of the fence. You lack a sense of belonging as you seem to feel that you betrayed your country which apparently now is begining to prosper. We have lived in Europe and we decided to come back home, in fact we were educated there & did white collar jobs but home is home. Give honour where it’s due, viva CHIPOLOPOLO!!!

    • Mushota,
Does sending clothes worth 100 pounds constitute alot of money, really you to evaluate what your aspirations are in life.People who built scotland were you are worked hard for it and had they had the same attitude as yours nothing would been achieved.Change your mind set and realise that is one of the great countries to live.

    • Today u are what u are bcoz of zambia, one thing which u should bear in mind is dat peace is da greatest prize of all.we da patriotic zambians hav everything 2 celebrate abt.

    • Mushota just swallow your pride and agree that europe is not like the way you perceived it to be. You are always dying of boredom thats why you busy commenting on LT everyday. get a life b**ch. Zambia is filled with fun compared to life in europe i dare u coz i have lived in europe for almost a decade too but u cannot compare it to zed.

  4. No. 9 ‘Mushota’. I agree everyone is entitled to an opinion and it is good to look at issues objectively. But personally, even if there was a reason to smile I do NOT think you would still smile. You appear to be troubled from what I have gathered from your negative comments. I wanted to ignore your comment initially but the more you post them the more I am inclined to help you. Is there anything we can do to help? We will be concerned about your state of mind for as long as you continue posting such comments. We are here to help, FOR FREE! You decide…lol. I am in Edinburgh, not far from where you are…

  5. The boys have done Zambia and entire Southern Africa proud. The Noble Eagle rose from the same place of tragedy. It’s simply great and unparalleled.

  6. # 9 Ka Musota you have only sent £100 (K700pin) over the past year and you say you have invested a lot in Zambia. Thats my drinking budget for an evening out.

  7. What a wonderful momment! I wish I was there to join in the celebrations. Zambians are now one big family. This is indeed a great momment in the history of Zambia! All these people will live to testify that they were there when our national soccer heroes brought the trophy home.

  8. #8, I concur with you, there were very serious security and safety lapses and one wonders why the police failed to prepare adequately for the anticipated large crowds. Zambia police are well known for playing the roles of spectators and when they take action they kill.

  9. wow, what a wonderful moment for us zambians……im a proud zambian nd im very happy that we finally won the africa cup,a big job well done to our national team,u guys will always be our heroses……

  10. no.9″mushota” a few days that you have been in Europe makes you think as though you have been there for years.we have all travelled but home is home my dear and one thing you should know is that no has asked you to send those cheap clothes to zambia.what is 100 pounds after all.i think no.14 right by saying that you appear to be troubled because no sane minded person would think that 100 pounds is a lot of money, that is nothing!!!! moments such as winning a cup don’t come everyday and the more reason why we celebrated the way we did.so please,if you don’t have anything better to say, then you should keep those thoughts to yourself.

    • #9 musota email me your bank accound i refund your peanuts or go to hell!what is 100 pounds?go to hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. Great pictures. Great moment. Thank God we did not lose lives given lacklustre safety. I believe lessons have been learned that winning trophies attracts huge crowds. We can always improve on safety.

  12. Mushota what job do to bring shame on your family by blowing a vuvusela for just spending 100 Ponds. who cares? Ata iwe. *****.

    Let us enjoy the pictures

  13. Yes no. 9 ‘MUSHOTA’ YOU ARE A HATER and truly not proud to be Zambian!!you seriously need help as Logika has pointed out!100 pounds, like really?Home is home even if there is a fly that will fly by and sit on my lip!I’m proud to be Zambian whatever the status of my country…beautiful photos of true patriotism and togetherness,Zambia the REAL africa!!hmmm ok but the plane picture is really scary haha

  14. All those talking about serious breach of security at the airport, I agree with you. Something terrible could have happened and would have put the safety of our soccer heroes in jeopardy! And what if there was another plane about to touchdown at the airport at about the same time? I think airport security, including the police will need to learn a lesson from this and always assume a worst scenario to avoid such a thing from happening again. Otherwise, good photos and well done once again to our team. Proud of you.

  15. @9 Mushota; whereas you may have a point you have also proved to be such a person who lacks tact! Yes, it’s untactful and imprudent  of you to blurt out your opinion at this point in time.I’m told you’re also pursuing PHD, but how on earth you passed communications-skills  is something to wonder about. You sound out of phase!

    Thanks.

  16. SOME THEY DON’T LIKE THEM SELF THE RISK IF YOU LOOK ON THE PHOTOS ARE HIGH FOR INJURYS PLEASE BA ZAMBIA IT IS YOUR UP SO SO LET US KEEP OUR SALF SAFE

  17. Mushota what are you doing here? Why cant you go home and improve the things you want to improve rather be an armchair critic. That paltry money you send home is peanuts in Zambia. It is the salary of my gardener. You seem to be very unpatriotic, if you have taken another nationality, get lost we chipuba and move on! We don’t need chickens like you, Zambia has millions of intellectuals who have stayed home and are earning good money, living in mansions. You must be living in some shabby little council house, or tied to a despicable mortgage of land you will never own. Bane, uyu wine Mushota, mwana wa banani kanshi? Afwile mwana wa kupula, taishiba wishi nangu nyina!

  18. Good pictures and one thing I am happy about is that people conducted themselves peacefully and left the airport in peace and incident free. Well done boys, more great days to come guys.

  19. I TOLD YOU MUSHOTA IS ON A MINI WAGE OF £5.70 PER HOUR SO PLZ FORGIVE HER FOR INVESTING £100 POUNDS LAST YEAR IN ZAMBIA. CLOTHES ?FROM A CHARITY SHOP!!!! SHAME!!!

  20. WOW WOW WOW THAT’S CLASS, MY ZAMBIA, MY BROTHERS, MY SISTERS,MY UNCLES, COUSINS AND ALL OUR PARENTS. OOOH SO NICE TO SEE SUPER KEN?? YANZUNA ZAMBIA, MONGA SUGAR??? I MISS HOME. THIS IS WHAT WE CALL A ROYAL ZAMBIAN WELCOME. VIVA CHIPOLOPOLO. YOU HAVE WIPED OUR TEARS. WE LOVE YOU BOYS.

  21. @Mushota, Why do you even bother yourself browsing through Zed websites when you feel there is nothing worthy seeing? You are a MISERABLE HATER, for the love of Christ, leave the Patriotic and Proud Zambians alone as we are celebrating the chipolopolo victory. I for one dont mind having a million pictures of this wonderful blessing the Almighty God showed upon Zambia. Quack you are!

  22. Pipo Please let this Mushota chap stop messing up yo moods and tempers, i know this chap and is one of the cleaners for some cleaning agencies, she also works as a Kitchen porter and sometimes as a waitress who get paid 5.75pounds/per……Only chaps from poverty striken homes can come to the UK and bost of a good life moreover she is just bnking some old chap from a carehome with a loose anal-muscle…One thing for sure is that she sufers from a disease called “attention seeckers”, she know how to get it, like others have said already, we need to invite her to some medical tests as her hatred for mother-land is more of a psycho than normal……

Nice photos and am indeed a proud ZAMBIAN…atleast i belong somewhere………….Mushota where do u belong????

  23. MUSHOTA PLEASE DON’T PRICK ZAMBIANS IN A WRONG PLACE. YOU ARE INVITING INSULTS. THIS IS NO TIME FOR YOU FUNNY TALK. ITS TIME TO REJOICE OUR CHIPOLOPOLO HARD WORK

  24. Mushota, I wouldnt trade Zed for where you are at. Lets see little narrow roads, little cars, astronomical high fuel prices, food with no taste, gloomy cold and rainy weather, misery and crowded. I was just in Zed, and all i saw were smiles everywhere I went, lots of pot bellys people are eating well lol.

  25. MUSHOTA>
The kingdom of heaven is not a matter of food and drink. The things that make for joy and happiness have nothing to do with clean streets and sausage and hargis. It is known that 60% of the UK population are taking Diazepam to sleep and Prozac to be happy. Whitney Houston had such prescription drugs in her hotel room. Zambians go to sleep in their poverty without a sedative. They go about their lives without a pick-me-up happy pill.
Going by your attitude, you will soon be taking anti-depressant pills, unless of course this is your sense of humour!

  26. Yeah, Mushota is suffering from a very serious inferiority complex and needs head hunter to treat him. He can keep his paltry 100 pounds for all we care.Wonderful pictures and viva CHIPOLOPOLO!!

  27. They should have found better means of transpotation for these guys. I can’t imagine how unconfortable the ride was. Is this what the deserve after bringing the cup home? FAZ’s welcoming committee must resign.

  28. Mushota, LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLooooooooooooooooooosssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrr
    I MEAN LOSER……

BIG UPS TO OUR BOYS………….PROUDLY ZAMBIAN

  29. congrants chipolopo, congrants Zambia! Guys you gave us a reason ukusamwa. Forget about mushota, she is intellectually bankrupt, suffering from inferiority complex with distorted identity! we chipuba cha mwanakashi don’t spoil our celebration mood…

  30. CONGRATULATIONS BOYS! Well done, you have etched your names in History and deservedly so. YOU HAVE MADE US ALL SO PROUD & INSPIRED A NATION. I would also just like to add that this Mushota person is not representative at all of us people living abroad. What you want to do is ignore her. It is equally possible that this is just a spoof account used by someone who fancies themselves as being funny!

  31. WONDERFUL PICS AND A GREAT DAY FOR MOTHER ZAMBIA…SEEING ALL PIPO UNITED LIKE THAT MAKE US EVEN MISS HOME MORE…WELL DONE GUYS AND ALL THE BEST IN THE WORLD CUP ENCOUNTERS…GO ZAMBIA GO CHIPOLOPOLO AND VIVA ZAMBIE…
GOD BLESS ALL AND NO INSULTS…WE ARE ONE…
    PROUDLY ZAMBIAN…..:)

  32. Guys don’t waste your on commenting on Mushota, he will continue positing his nosense knowing that he will get the attention, ignore him let him continue cleaning the toilets in the UK.

  33. No RUBI RUBA we cant turn the other cheek on MUSHOTA,she(im assuming she is female with those shameful words) needs to be put in place!
no9 THE SAINT, those words are soo true;ignorant people like MUSHOTA confuse happiness with material things, sanitation, cold weather(haha)..happiness is being joyful with where you are in life..
The crowd of people is amazing in the pics-one has to remember that this was a nationwide celebration and not election results where some people are angry!Muntu was surely expected so security should have been beefed up,nevertheless congrats on the peaceful exists
    #HAPPY FOR ZAMBIA!

  34. Yes! It was a very happy occasion, but that is no excuse for insulting the Zambian flag by those two guys sitting on the bonet of the military vehicle carrying the natonal team. Nobody is allowed to put his or her feet on the national flag. Not even our President can do so.

Given the circumstances, an apology should be acceptable from those two which must be done as publicly as they have been shown in that photo for some of us to cool down.

  35. Sometimes you get what you deserve, that’s life….. Herve Renard
You don’t have to wait for destiny, you still have to go to that place, meet that person, attend that interview, stand your ground, write those exams, explain your point etc… The boys knew what they wanted and they got exactly that!!! Thank you for making us proud……..

  36. My people, my people, for once leave Mushota alone. I too am not happy seeing those people thronging the plane, climbing that electricity or mobile tower or that bill board. We Zambians don’t care about security and cleanness which Mushota mentioned. That is why the life expectancy of our people is very low. We need to celebrate but in a civilized manner. What is there to celebrate when precious lives have been lost because of people’s foolishness to hero worship our players for winning a bronze that does not have life? Mushota’s £100 is nothing…

  37. #9 a waste of human sperm sorry. Anything everything about zambia is good nw. She is indeed troubled. We send container and this Mother flicker is talking about 100 pound! Zambia nice pic’s

  38. Fantastic pictures but also alarmed to see how Health and Safety laws are being ignored every including transporting the team itself, i think i will send a 2nd hand open topped tourist double decker bus to Lusaka and reserve it for such occasions.
Is mounted police feeding those horses they look skinny and those chaps on them are dressed in riot gear..get proper crowd control gear for the horses; visors, pads etc

  39. #pic 7 is one good reason why the American always take over security 100% in third world countries like Zambia whenever their leaders visit countries like Zambia.#pic23, I wonder if people know that there’s a limit to what a foot bridge like that Manda Hill bridge can handle. Zambia is really the real dark Africa.

    • Yes because a lot of people hate Americans because of all the atrocities they have committed around the world. Sorry love but who would want to kill any Zambian on home soil where we don’t even have oil? better still give me one good reason? yes  thought as much. I feel for you though cos it is not your fault that you ‘think like that, you just misinformed. try reading.

  40. I don’t know why people even respond to Mushota. She just gains satisfaction in annoying people. I can assure you that when you respond angrily, of course she feels thrilled. She feels bad when you do not respond or respond positively to her comments. She is in a troubled category of people who love seeing others get hurt, suffering, jealousy of friends who prosper.
She is a lover of evil. The more anger you show to her massages, the more thrilled she becomes. Period.

  41. Nice one LT—-beautiful pics indeed. Who does NOT feel proud to be Zambian???? @9 ka Mushota-you’re in a sad state of mind mwaiche. I know your miscarriage has brought some emotional torment to your soul. Seek the lord my dear, you’re killing yourself with your self HATE. Your opinion is yours, but seriously…get HELP soon my dear!

  42. **==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**==**== WAVING MY FLAG ALL MONTH, YEAR AND FOREVER. Thank you CHIPOLOPOLO…

  43. @mushota, have you tried counselling, maybe it will help you release some of that anger you’ve bottled in.

You come out like a child sponsored to the best schools but molested by the Uncle, too afraid to tell anyone and instead turns to books bcoz they wont hurt anyone.

We can all tell you’ll never be happy regardless of the level of education attained. Please remember counselling, even though it wont reverse your uncle’s wrong will help you get over the pain.

  44. Bloggers, Mushota suffer from inferiority complex and is here to seek attention when we respond to her posts. In the interest of Lusaka Times and our nation, I am launching a campaign to avoid responses from this useless and pathetic individual. If ignore we ignore her comments, she will disappear in oblivion. But if we respond, we reward her stupidity by  giving her a platform. Please join the campaign to ignore Mushota now!

  45. They could have at least hired an open roof double deck bus from somewhere or even a wider open trailer truck not that Presidential manda manda

  46. @ 53 Mbo Sam, Are you sure, what is wrong with sitting on the flag, it is just a piece of cloth embroided with those colours. Be careful with what you give your utmost respect, worshipping idols does not mean kneeling before a statue only, a flag can be your god (idol) if not careful.

  47. Yes indeed even here we are happy for these guys, Boys you have made us proud and this comes once you life time………..Chipolopolo iye………Zambia ……..Zambia.Thank you LT for these wonderful pix, thank you again!

  48. Mushota is having the last laugh, the more the bloggers appeal to each other to ignore her/him the more they respond to her/him. Mushota 5, bloggers 0.

  49. it was a greatfor us and will never forget that day well done guys you’ve proved them wrong when God says yes who can say no all the best guys?

  50. @Mushota the attention Seeker – You must have a very serious limitation about how to express your passion for Zambia. You seem to have some attachment to Zambia despite your rantings, which unfortunately don’t assist at all. Merely condemning everything about Zambia doesn’t mean you’d be useful in improving Whatever you criticize. Zambia is looking for people that offer themselves and their ideas to the eradication of poverty, illiteracy, disease & unemployment. Those who specialise in just criticising, like Mushota are USELESS to our cause.

  51. Thank you, LT for such wonderful pictures. It shows that you are professionals in your job and you what the public want to see. I am enjoying your LT news here in Angola. And we are very much proud of you, brethren for clinching the AFCON for the entire SADC region.PLEASE NEVER BACKPEDDLE ON “ONE ZAMBIA ONE NATION”, It is a unifying factor. Take care of the boys and make sure you defend it at all cost.

  52. Ali che Mushota. Its just too much of these photos as if we have nothing else to show to the people. Who cares about this small achievement. Us Zambians are now looking at the world cup. Thats where we need more pictures. Lets get ready and prepare adequately. I end here!

  53. mushota chipuba so dont mind wat she says shez using her tactiks to lure you people from the subject of discussion so plz ignore and big ups to our boys.i love SUNZU

  54. 42, 59, 68: I think the mode of transport was due to the fact our captain Chris Katongo is (or was) in the army so the Zambia Army wanted to use appropriate transport for an army man…. give Zambia Army a  chance to shine will ya!!! We are allowed a bit of spontaneity after 18 years of not having won !

  55. We thank God for the blessings!! There were concerns about a near stampede waiting to happen. Are those people allowed on the run-way??

  56. Mushota is winning the war people … at the end of the day, instead of talkin about the content posted by LT, we end up talkin bout f^%kin mushota comments. Please lets not response, lets focus on the topics of the country … I beeeggggg please … foook u mushota …

  57. Very nice and heart taking WOW!!!! So proud and happy to be Zambia, thanks to Chipolopolo boys, the HR, Great Kalu and the whole FAZ organisation for making the mission impossible possible. I have never commented on Mushota but i think this Lady/Man has serious issues, everytime she/he tries by all most to make all the bloggers forget about the main topic. It high time all of you if you so wish start ignoring this person and focus on the topic that is being discussed.

  58. Nice pictures, truly wondeful scenes! This is really good for my people to enjoy a week or two and temporarily forget about daily hardships.

The organisers should have taken this huge event to a stadium or another open space, like a big park or something so people wouldn’t have to scramble reaching for the rooftops that collapsed under their weight.

FAZ needs to invest this money into discovering talent and recruiting future Chipolopolo squad. The thing about winning a continental championship is you look at it as a stepping stone to invest future talent so that there’s no going back to mediocre football – you invest and you keep on winning. I hope someone in FAZ is thinking through this and not just indulge in the moment.

  59. WELL DONE CHIPOLOPOLO!!!!! The country will never forget that amazing feeling of victory. You will always be heroes no matter what. Thank you.

  60. Moshota she is narcist::

Narcissism is used to describe a central concept of psychoanalytic problem… e.g MUSHOTA, a mental illness, a social or cultural problem, or simply a personality trait. Except in the sense of primary narcissism or healthy self-love, “narcissism” usually is used to describe some kind of problem in a person or group’s relationships with self and others. In everyday speech, “narcissism” often means egoism, vanity, conceit, or simple selfishness. Applied to a social group, it is sometimes used to denote elitism or an indifference to the plight of others. In psychology, used to describe both Self-love and unhealthy self-absorption due to a disturbance in the sense of self.

MUSHOTA thats you.. Consult your nearest mental clinic

  61. HI PIPO wonderful but lets be carefull with pipo claiming to have prophesed this victory.let us diferentiate predication and prophercy .

  62. Moshota, am sure were you come from there is only hate, even on a day were every one has to come together for a good cause you want to sound different, am sure you are homosexual who always think in the opposite, wanting to go where shit is coming from, learn to appreciate you son of a bitch!!!, WELL DONE ZAMBIA YOU HAVE MADE US PROUD GOD BLESS THE BOYS. CONGRATS.

  63. Forgive the policemen forgive everyone. This has never happened before in Zambia so they did not have any plans for crowd control. You can see everything including the army jeeps are makeshift arrangements. I hope when we win the World cup in 2014 they will have a comfortable open air bus and other paraphernalia to escort the team from the airport. Hear this Stella Libongani put 2014 in your diary.

  64. baa Zambia yelele mwa wina chipolopolo, ba Zambia iye ba zambia chipolopolo.big up boy. i luv u more than the word itself caz u made our mother country to be in the world cup. u unleashed the black star nd killed the big elephants while.Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
