Barotse Royal Establishment drops secession demands, will opt for dialogue with Government instead-Sinyinda

Share

NGAMBELA of the Lozi people in Western Province, Clement Sinyinda says the traditional leadership has with immediate effect stopped any agitation for secession.

Mr Sinyinda said the Barotse Royal Establishment (BRE) has instead opted for dialogue with the Government in the interest of peace and national unity.

He said in an interview yesterday that the nation should brace for a “shocking” amicable settlement to the impasse that was created after the declaration of Western Province as an independent State last week.

The Barotse National Council (BNC) last week in Limulunga resolved that Western Province should secede from the rest of Zambia.

“You will not follow this news anymore but it will follow you. Give us a little time. I have actually issued instructions to all our people throughout Barotseland and those in other parts of the country to stop issuing statements that will promote divisions,” Mr Sinyinda said.

When asked whether he was still in hiding, he said it was not necessary to discuss such a matter but the nation should expect a breathtaking settlement to the problem soon.

“We are very safe where we are and the news will come to you very soon. You will not need to follow it,” he said.

He said the Government had acted responsibly, while the traditional leadership in Western Province had continued issuing attacks, which was not good for dialogue.Mr Sinyinda said steps were being taken to ensure that the matter was resolved as quickly as possible.

Meanwhile, Justice Minister Sebastian Zulu said the Government would resolve the matter without any attack on the traditional leadership in Western Province.

On reports that the Ngambela had gone into hiding with Induna Mukulwakashiko, Mr Zulu said the two should continue enjoying their freedom. The minister said the Government would remain calm in searching for solutions instead of attacking the traditional leadership in the area.

“We know that there is no country in the world which has seceded without bloodshed, that is why you have not heard the Government threatening the people of Western Province,” Mr Zulu said.

Meanwhile, first Republican president Kenneth Kaunda, who was co-signatory to the Barotseland Agreement of 1964, has appealed to all Zambians to safeguard peace and harmony in the country.

Dr Kaunda said citizens should protect the spirit that characterised the determination of the founding fathers of Zambia. He said genuine consultations among all stakeholders should start now for continued stability and peace.

In a statement signed by his chief of staff, Godwin Mfula, in Lusaka yesterday, Dr Kaunda said there was need for cooperation over the matter.

    • i dont actually trust the media..maybe they just made up this story as part of state propaganda..lets just wait and see and if possible apply wisdom to this.

  1. Yaba, but balozi, so you thought you could actually succeed…. we knew you would give up, you just needed time to yap.

  2. This is as it should be: dialogue. The worst thing could have been to innocent blood being shed and our brothers and sisters fro Barotse seceding. I pray for God’s grace and mercy to prevail during this dialogue. One Zambia, One nation, one God.

  3. In other words “watch this space” !!!! Nichani bayopa manje? Even blaming THEMSELVES for acting irrationally??!!! What a turn-around! Breakaway was never going to happen anyway!! It would be very interesting though to know exactly what was said to them for them to change their stance so. We shall wait for this NEWS that we will not have to follow but will seek us out!!

    • Your SATA has also changed his mind, he has accepted his wrongs, he has reconised the issue now after pressure. THANK GOD.

  4. Now the truth is coming out, seems these people want to occupy some positions in Government

    • I agree. We need to leave these Kolwestans to fend for themselves. They can’t ride our backs anylonger.

    • Who are these kolwestans that you people talk about? Insulting other tribes will not make the perceived problems you have to disappear. Whether you like it or not the so called kolwestans will continue staying in this country and providing leadership for you people who might bring tribal wars should the Zambian people make the mistake of voting you into office.

  5. One Zambia, One Nation!
It is my hope that the Ngambela CLEARLY states what it is they expect grz to do, and at the dame time allow grz to do it. I hear it is nearly impossible to invest anything is Western Province.
    Sad

    • Some years ago, Lozis stopped Shoprite from establishing a retail shop there, like many other towns did. they only allowed them to operate a wholesale store near a smelly abatooire. Saw it in 2002.

    • This nonsense only exists in retarded kaponya circles of yours. You must have heard this nonsense from an id.io.t who is an informed as youself. Can you please point to an actual investor who was refused investment in the province? And as for the shoprite myth, id.iots like you just assume that coz it is located out of town therefore the mythical lozis did not want it. Shoprite made a choice where to locate. There is both a retail and wholesale outlet. There is no abbatoir near shoprite unless it has just been opened today by your family. You are just bigots and congenital liars. Id.iots!

  6. You dont know what you want and stop wasting our time.I take it you just want positions in Govt to fill your broke pockets.

  7. This Barotse nonsense is being fueled by external forces. We ave seen them split up Sudan. Remember my words. Konyagi 2012

  8. No.10 u re rite these Lozis are just power hungry they shud jst go back to the grassroot and contenst govt positions not inciting violence, bt first they shud b arrested for alarming the nation with possible trouble in WP even for jst 5 days so that thy smell that dirty toilet like DORA BOKOSI has smelt it

  9. I hope this Government of Kaponyas by Kaponyas for Kaponyas takes this as a grand opportunity to use brains, which they have to find outside themselves, and take the initiated and be the big person and address the concerns of Western Province.

As MMD we had great plans to develop that part of the region and the scrapping of those projects like the Mongu kalabo road does not help build confidence that you care about that province. If you ask anybody in Western Province, the Mongu-kalabo road is big deal. It is really a bigeee and could have swallowed up a lot of youths into meaningful work, and could open up the Western Side of Zambia to the world.

You have been given a second chance and use it wisely.

    • Chi MMD Chief Bootlicker i pity u so much did Sinyinda promise u a position in BALOSHI GOVT? uluse ala tamwaka tekepo i think even in MMD u were jst a VUVUSELA!

    • So the mongu-kalabo road is the only big thing you had for this province for 20 years and never even did half of it!!?? you must be ashamed of yourselves… shame on you and your movement for mad dogs…

    • Secession is never a good idea. Develop Western Province. It will benefit all of Zambia. Be good to the Lozi people and let them be good Zambians.

  10. This huge turn-around has made some folks violently sick…their over night chant and juju is not working.

  11. Litumezi Bo ngambela, Zikomo Kwambiri, Twalumba Kapati, Twatasha sana Mkwayi….One Zambiiiaaa..One natiion, …one nation one Leader and that leader…Ukwaaaaaaa kekekeke LOL! I luv this country!

  12. The Ngambela has developed cold feet. Blasted coward, freedom fighters are born into it, punk. You just don’t  wake up one day and assume the attire of a freedom fighter. After enjoying the opulence when you were minister you think it easy to trot into the bush and wage a war? A truly fu-c-k-e-d up greedy dreamer of a Ngambela.

  13. one zambia one nationa and decleared christian nation = to no blood sheding. thank you lozi poeple now we can marry alot of your women and you can oloso marry our beutiful women.

  14. It is called Quiet Diplomacy, ask Thabo Mbeki, he is an expert at that. Just when the Preseng HE MCS came back and made no comment on the issue, I was thrilled, I knew that he intended to address it behind the curtains. This is good and indeed kudos to the Ngambela.

I actually have a Lozi girlfriend and was getting worried that I had losty her, Bemba that I am, where is the Tonga wedding planner????

  15. I hope there is humble intervention from Sata with positive assurances. Dialogue is the only tool to resolve any conflict between groups of people. Bravo Sinyinda.

  16. At 18 you are spot on. This is the time for GRZ to get to grips with the realities of the matter at hand and do due diligence in solving the problems that have beset mother Zambia, that is, the leadership style of the President. It is very divisive and a recipe for incinting regions against each other. Mr. President please show leadership in the manner you deal with the national issues and the country at large. Be more inclusive and please do not open your mouth unnecessarily. It has almost tipped the country into confrontation

  17. can HH now tell us something! that is the spirit sinyinda you can’t fight a loosing batle. what you need is development thats all.

  18. A bit of common sense prevailing at last. So much time and energy already wasted such that had it been channelled to something useful, Zambia would have made a distinct step forward by now. Can we now focus on developmental issues. i.e education, health job reaction etc

  19. The Ngambela was warned that Sata will exert brute force on them wen he got back!!We hate alarmists but we shall 4give u in the interest of peace.Get 2 the drawing board n present a reasonable case to the Govt. Dialogue is key 2 maintaining unity n peace

  20. Whose position is Sinyinda expressing??? The seven districts or his position??? Siyinda should be arrested by Barotseland police if he said that. BNC resolution is the stance of the people of Barotseland.

  21.  I SAID IT,THIS WAS A NON STARTER,NOW SINYINDA IS THINKING,YOU REALLY WANTED ZAMBIA TO BE YOUR COLONIAL MASTERS AFTERWARDS?iI SAID IT ZAMBIA IS ONE NATION UNDER GOD AND NO ONE CAN PUT IT ASUNDER.I EVEN TOLD YOU THAT FEW WEEKS FROM NOW WE SHALL BE LAUGHING ABOUT THIS DANGEROUS JOKE.NATIONS ARE NOT CREATED BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE ARE TOO LAZY TO COMPETE OR STAND UP AND OFFER THEMSELVES.CHECKMATE

  22. Let this be the last time we will ever hear of Lozis dreaming of seceding even in another event that an opposition leader lies to them in order to win votes. What a lesson !!

  23. Lozis think as individuals progressively not to be dragged into supporting selfish motives of some individuals who want to become what they never experienced in their formal employment! For sure there is no breakaway that does not involve bloodshed. The Barotseland Agreement is not an extract from the Holy Bible or Biblical! Revoking or cancellation will not be a sin, but will bring about harmony amongst the people of Western Province and the rest of the country.

  24. This nation is a christian nation and if you don’t know what that means ask why it was declared. It doesn’t mean that all people will be pure/holy but that God must be the lord over this nation and thats why we ran to God in every situation.Shame upon those so called christians who oppose this cos God is watching and listening to their utterances. Therefore note that no weapon formed agaisnt this land shall prosper.Read Isaiah54v15,17.

  25. Thats the way to go. But stop threatening the people you want to negotiate with. Thought not the same situation, take a leaf on how Nelson Madenla handled the negotiations with the Afrikaners.

  26. No 18 and 27 are fools….start planning for a convention than blaming the Sinyinda, what he did under MMD advise was treason, boma ni boma….

  27. ”He said the Government had acted responsibly, while the traditional leadership in Western Province had continued issuing attacks, which was not good for dialogue.Mr Sinyinda said steps were being taken to ensure that the matter was resolved as quickly as possible.”
So, why did this fool not think about dialogue first instead of wasting time? Besides, the government had even set up a commission of enquiry, specifically for the BA, and has not even been tabled for discussion by interested parties, and this ***** goes ahead and issues treasonable statements!! Cage the ****er!!!

  28. The compromise deal, is the formation of Kafue Province! We welcome dialogue and a peaceful resolution to this simple matter.

We believe all right thinking Zambians will support a win win resolution.

  29. @18 Bootlicking MMD would have been shooting people inWP by now. So far I’m impressed with the way Gov has handled this issue. There has been no threats from Sata or any major talk from GRZ of any heavyhandedness on the issue. Except from police who are just doing their job. So PF you are doing good so far

  30. sata is a stupid man who has failed the poeple of zambia. he cheated lozis that when ushered into office he will instate barosteland but has gone in hiding in india for leisure.dont quit lozis continue with the same spirit you started with. this foolish government will not dialogue with you properly they will just steal your time and intice you. when in the actual sense they have dinied you development in your area.go lozis go.

    • #44 Have you just crawled from under a rock or something?
Some people were just born backward and dangerously slow in their thinking.Ask your neighbour or someone to explain what is going on,maybe that might help.

  31. Lets give a pat on the back to the ngambela. At least he knows he s-c-r-e-w-e-d up, and has taken responsbility for it. He has overdone it though, even over praising government for acting responsbily, while as he puts it, the ”the traditional leadership was attacking government” hmmmm

  32. People on this blog, attaching emotions to fundamental issues of our nation never work. we have to debate issues rather than insulting our leaders. Free speech does not mean disrespecting leaders but rather holding them accountable

  33. Good morning

This is the headline I was praying for. Now what belongs together, is growing together (to borrow the words of Willy Brandt on the German reunification after the fall of the Berlin Wall).

One Zambia, One Nation. Let’s all move on together as proud and free citizens of our country. If we have a problem, we can solve it together without dividing or tearing ourselves apart.

  34. NOW THAT DOCUMENT MUST BE TAKEN TO THE GOVT ARCHIVES DEPARTMENT AND BE FILED.ITS GOOD THAT GOVT ALLOWED PEOPLE TO EXHAUST THEMSELVES IN ARGUMENTS,NOW WE KNOW EACH OTHER BETTER,GOOD MOVE BO SATA.

  35. This Sinyinda is a joker, how do you turn in a minute from issuing scathing attacks of no compromise to making such peaceful statements? Are you speaking using your brain and mouth or someone is speaking through you. You are a joker, a time waster, and nobody will take you seriously henceforth. Dont waste our time when we want to focus on developing the country including Western province

  36. This headline is misleading. There is owe here where the Ngambela has said he has stopped calling for secession calls. He has merely issued instructions for people not to be talking too much.

He has said government must negotiate this matter as willing part.

    This is twisted report

  37. Lozis Mock charge ..and GRZ is not even blinking.. wow. Here is how the dialogue will be like.. ‘if you lozi chaps make any noise again, the law will visit you’.. Dont play with ‘BOMA’..Now continue working on the boat.. or kuomboka

  38. AFTER THIS FRACAS BY THE LOZIS, LET THE SOLUTION BE SUCH THAT ZAMBIA MUST BE A UNITARY STATE IN THE REAL SENSE. IF IT HAS BEEN GOOD FOR LOZIS TO GO ANYWHERE IN ZAMBIA AND ACQUIRE LAND, THAT MUST ALSO APPLY TO OTHER TRIBES IN ZAMBIA. ANYONE FROM ANY TRIBE SHOULD EQUALLY GO TO WESTERN PROVINCE AND ACQUIRE LAND FOR ANY BUSINESS PURPOSE AND IT BECOMES HIS PIECE OF LAND. WHY SHOULD IT BE A ONE-SIDED AFFAIR? GIVE ALL CHIEFS THEIR TRADITIONAL POWERS TO CONTROL THEIR CHIEFDOMS/KINGDOMS WHILE THE PRESIDENT CONTROLS ALL THE TUMA CHIEFS AND KINGS. MAKE THE MBUNDAS AND NKOYAS HAVE THEIR OWN CHIEFS OR KINGS, TOO.

    • Has anyone stopped you? Stop living in a mythical world you id.iot. If you want to build in month you go to the pf run council. You don’t go to limulunga. Stinking ignorant monkey still living in his mythical st.up.id world. Id.iot do you actually have a real and living person who was refused land in WP? My dear just get that ugly head out of your a.rse and see the world as it is not as your st.up.id Imagination assumes it is.

  39. Never ,Never ,Never again should you raise that matter again.Your COWARDICE is appalling!NEVER waste our time again!NEVER.To abandon those NOBLE RESOLUTIONS is grossly immoral and dishonourable! You are absolutely unworthy of honour and you are totally a let down!
Never complain when your slavery to Bemba Supremacy continues!

  40. It is good that the ngambela has realised very quickly that he blundered! He commited treason. But I pray that HE MCS and his BOMA will forgive him so that we much forward as country men since this is a unique problem.

  41. Sata and the PF government must be commended on this one for maintaining level-headedness and cool diplomacy as opposed to threats, intimidation and murder. Had it been the previous blood thirsty government we would have by now witnessed a massacre of thousands of Lozis.
Now, let serious and frank negotiations begin.

  42. …EVEN B4 THEY STARTED WHAT CAN NOT BE FINISHED, THE LOZIS (OR LUIS) SHOULD BEEN REASONABLE AND WISE TO THAT WHEN THE PRESIDENT RELEASED THOSE LOZI PRISONERS IT WAS A GOOD GESTURE AND SIGN TO START TALKING ON A DIFFERENT CIVIL LEVEL AS COMPARED TO RB’S BULLET STYLE. NOT ONLY THAT. DECENTRALISATION OF POWER AND RESOURCES WAS ANOTHER GOOD SIGN FOR INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT. TROUBLE’S, THE SECESSION INTENSIONS WERE PREMEDITATED A LONG TIME AGO. THE CONVENTION WAS JUST TO HAVE BLIND FOLLOWERS DATE-STAMP IT. IN ANY CASE, HOW CAN A NORMAL PERSON THINK BREAKING AWAY WAS GOING TO BE SO EASY? OK, THAT ASIDE. THIS WHOLE LOZI ANXIETY AND BOUNDLESS APPETITE FOR POWER HAS TAUGHT US ONE OR TWO THINGS.

  43. so i thot you said you will die fighting, where does royal barotse stand now? kekeke 50 shillings gone, back to kwacha. drama hahaha.

  44. Even if you a very sad a person, this would surely break your ribs. Ukwa nimukali kansi, chenze chabe zii, so now mr sinyinda what do you to dialog on? Ukwa 1. BRE 0, this is the first half, wait for the seond one. meanwhile back to bikiloni n professor difficult.

  45. WE HAVE LEARNT THAT PEOPLE ARE HUNGRY FOR DEVELOPMENT WHICH INCLUDES ALL DISTRICTS IN ZAMBIA. PEOPLE NEED JOBS, GOOD HEALTH, EDUCATION AND SOCIAL SECURITY. PEOPLE WILL NO LONGER LISTEN TO STORIES OF ‘WE ARE GOING TO DO THIS OR THAT’. THE GRZ MUST BE READY FOR ANY KIND OF PROTEST FROM ANY GROUP OF PEOPLE IF THEY (GRZ) DON’T QUICKLY PUT THEIR ACTS TOGETHER AND START IMPLEMENTING WHAT THEY PROMISED THE PEOPLE. THAT IS INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT, JOB-CREATION, SOUND HEALTH AND EDUCATION FACILITIES, AND CORRUPTION FIGHT.

  46. Pliz arrest litunga, after all they have shown us what they are made of. Banish him from his kingdom just do it the way u could have done to nzamane. He has been agitating for self rule when they totally nothing in his ba64. No double standards here. You almost did on our ngoni chiefs

  47. This also clearly shows that those so called resolutions were doctored and prepared in advance.Where are the so called 7 districts in the reversal of secession demand? My joke will be that maybe that is why you Lozis fail to make it into mainstream politics, you cant even cheat us properly.Mr.Sinyinda is just home sick now missing his business connections in Lusaka.MY TRIBUTE TO THE ZAMBIAN PEOPLE ESPECIALLY THE BEMBAS, FOR REASONS BEST KNOWN TO THEIR ACCUSERS,WHO  RESPONDED WITH LOVE AGAINST HATRED AND PREJUDICE.IN OTHER COUNTRIES JUST THAT CALL FOR SECESSION WOULD HAVE RESULTED INTO IMMEDIATE RETALIATION AND BACKLASH AGAINST THE LOZIS,THEY WERE GOING TO BE CHASED,LOOTED AND SENT PACKING BACK TO WESTERN.BUT WE ARE BROTHERS WE REALIZE SOMEBODY JUST PUFFED SOME ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE FOR COURAGE.

  48. Our beloved president MCS said that our army is very weak and needs a ka friendly war to keep them fit, an opportunity had presented itself for our army to practice ka friendly war with these LOZI’s, why the u-turn now?????? mulimasaka sana.

  49. …ALREADY, CORRUPTION FIGHT DOESN’T SEEM TO BE HEADING ANYWHERE. THIEVES ARE EASILY SLIPPING THROUGH THE NET TO OTHER COUNTRIES. MEANING THE GOVT WILL NOW START SPENDING TAX-PAYERS’ MONEY TO EXTRADITE THIEVES FROM OTHER COUNTRIES, WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO BE SPENT ON PLANNED DEVELOPMENTAL PROJECTS. THAT IS IF THEY WILL EVEN MANAGE TO BRING THEM BACK, ANYWAY. ALL I CAN SAY TO THE GOVT IS THAT THE SOONER YOU START IMPLEMENTING THOSE PROJECTS THE BUSIER THE PEOPLE WILL BE TO WAGE PROTESTS, AND THE HAPPIER PEOPLE WILL BE.

  50. Ichibwato fro KUOMBOKA all roads should lead to Mongu…iwe Sinyinda announce the day for KUOMBOKA mahule yamachipa uko…from all corners of Z!

  51. just continue sleeping because of that statement, according to barotse laws the sope has no power to say anything unless its done by convening a national council. The dialogue is for the GRZ to hand over power withiout a fight.there is nothing like treason, the barotse peoples police are protsecting their litunga. He is safe indeed.next move, appointment of barotse cabinet.

  52. BA #44, BA NSAMA (IF TRULY NIMWEBO BA CHIPYOKA-MEANIG FROM KU BUFUMU), MULEKWATAKO MUCINSHI. BA SATA BAKULU MUNSHILA ILI YONSE IYO MWINGATONTONKANYA. UKUBATUKA CIMO NOKUTUKA FYE UMUFYASHI OBE. UKO KUFYALO MULEIKALA, MULESAMBILILAKO TECHNOLOGY. NOT UBUNANGWA. CAN YOU INSULT OBAMA IN THE SAME MANNER ON THE SAME PLATFORM? YOU CAN’T. BCOS, THEY CAN HUNT YOU LIKE A RAT. ELECTRONIC MEDIA IS A TOOL FOR AMONGST MANY OTHER THINGS, SELF-EXPRESSION. AND NOT TO INSULT RESPECTABLE, BIG PEOPLE WHO CAN EVEN ‘URINATE’ INTO YOUR MOTHER TO PRODUCE YOU. MUZINKALAKO NAULEMU BAFANA. IN FACT RESPECT ALL PIPO BACK HOME WHO ARE FIGHTING FOR U WHILE U ARE HOPELESSLY SMOKING WEED ABROAD.

  53. # 65 Most gud soldiers in Zambia Army are Lozis….Loyal and disciplined….bemba soldiers are jus maliyongos…malingerers!

  54. Lusaka Times and Times of Zambia shouldn’t be peddling in lies. Who was interviewing Sinyinda? And he has no power over the BNC resolutions.

  55. Bravo ngambela, I now see a true Zedian. I was wondering what was going to happen to my sister Mundia Chanda. ONE ZAMBIA ONE NATION forever and ever. UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL

  56. This good! for way forward and Thank God who has touched his people to come to this decision. Dialogue Dialogue Dialogue is the only medicine to every problem. Shangwe banabahesu!

  57. And what were you thinking in the first place eh? You think KK was a fool to have signed the BA and still emphasized on One Zambia One Nation……He must have signed under duress from the British in a bid to gain independence for the whole country, and may I be educated about the ‘special role’ WP played which the rest of the country did not to help Zambia gain independence? I have always thought the whole country played its party.

  58. What do you expect from a man in a skirt..Maybe he should think about a sex change as well.. Western Province is the home of the lozi’s but it belongs to all Zambian just like Southern province is home to the tonga’s but belongs to all Zambian..Next time this noise comes up I hope the Government exercises the constitution and locks up this chap for treason

  59. He is simply scared of a referendum after realising that the so called “Barotseland” does not only cover the sand plains of WP!!! Can you immagine a referendum on this issue from Luapula through CB, NWP, CP, WP, Lsk, into SP? Barotseland an’t just WP or the now 7 districts in WP folks!

Because if you insisted, this is the most likely route GRZ would have taken—-give people of “BA64 Barosteland” a chance to have a final say in this matter through a referendum. Get a hint from what happened before Southern Sudan suceded! And I can assure you, it would be a resounding defeat for you “Lozi” lunatics advocating for this secession nonsense!
NOW, let the Nkoyas and Mbundas have geniune self-determination in their own country through their own chiefs, you hear!!

  60. corrupt ngambela you have been bribed the same way you sold barosteland if we here this issue again i urge the govt to burn this man alive

  61. ZAMBIANS, WHAT DO YOU MAKE OF THESE LOZIS. THEY ARE DREAMERS.THEY DONT THINK B4 SAYING SMTHING. LIATO HAS CASES WITH THE STATE. HE WANTED TO USE THE BAROTSELAND SECESSION AS A SCAPEGOT. NO WAY.HE STOLE.

  62. I listened to the Ngambela on the internet radio and it’s amazing this turn around if he was really quoted rightly. I have some doubts about the authenticity of this news, seeing the source is a PF Government Propaganda mouth piece.
In any case who would the Ngambela single handedly abrogate the resolution of the BNC without consultations and authorisation from the entire Council? Unless the govt has promised to restore BA’64 in its entirety; include it in the Constitution and school history books, then I won’t be satisfied.
Too bad because I was already plotting to hit hard at this government in ways that would have attracted their attention to the issue.

  63. This story is just twisted to amuse the ”Kolwestans”. At no time did or can Sinyinda, the Ngambela say such a fabricated story by Lusaka Times.
Fact is that Barotseland is a Free Nation and its final not these LIES.
The BNC and all people of Barotseland resolved to seperate, therefore to reverse can only happen with the full democratic consent of BNC and Barotse people, not Sinyinda.
Waste of time Lusaka Times, very useless reporting with Lies.
Be correctly informed that the BNC discion is final.

    • Agreed Kay Love… the source is actually Times of Zambia… that’s why I have my doubts over its authenticity.

  64. The Ng’ambela and Lozis are the only ones who understood PF campagn promises very well thats why they remebered after the 90 days were over to remind HE MCS, unlike the majority who are still waiting for more money to be put in their pockets (don’t misunderstand me I’m for unity, but who broke the promise). ZED people stil sleeping, wakeup politicians will make you slaves in your own country. Read animal farm then you may know the truth.

  65. Only simple minds can rejoice in this. Wait and see the truth unfolding. I hope they will rather press for federalism, considering that most people in zambia have realised that our Bemba counterparts who hold the instruments of power can never develop this country. It simply is beyond them and not to blame anyone its the way they are socialized which makes them what they are.

    • Iwe ka Mimi what is this unrealistic hatred you have against Bemba speakers? You seem to suffer from a worse type of inferiority complex that if not dealt with will lead to your break down.
A normal civilised human does not ever stereotype. You might have had bad experiences but tough…

  66. WE THANK GOD FOR GIVING OUR MEN AND WOMEN IN WESTERN PROVINCE WISDOM TO THINK OF DROPING THEIR FIRST STATEMENT. BROVAL BO SINYINDA AND THE GROUP.

  67. Let us continue to pray for the nation rather than insulting each other. At the end of the day when we cut or continue to stay together we will continue to be friends

  68. Lusaka Times and the other sites that encourage bloggers to be tribal and insulting should be banned.

  69. GOODNEWS!!
BO Clement Sinyinda, thank you for this bold decision; you’re real man: And those of our beloved LOZIS, do not take this step by your traditional leaders as a show of cowardice, there’s more sense in abandoning this call for a separate state.
    Thanks again BO Clement Sinyinda

  70. Illiterate Zambians! “Secession” – not succession. Some of you are so dull even when you see other people writing “secession” you still go ahead and write “succession”. What’s that supposed to mean? People laugh at us here abroad because of the heavily accented English and lack of proper phonetics.

  71. The great leader Sata didnt panic. HH was celebrating! now we see who is a true leader. Sata has worked behind the scenes to resolve the matter to the shame of UPND and MMD. One Zambia One Nation!!!!!!!!!!

  72. A good general knows when to retreat, to rest his forces and re – strategise. In the absence of represenative dialog on the lines of human rights, seccession is an answer. But that would mean we Zambians have failed at integration, at fighting regionalism and nepotism among other silly vices. Central govt must realise that regionalism, tribal hegemony is un doing that which we have built in the last 47 years. Make no mistake, no dribbling shall be tolerated this time around.

  73. The chap had to withraw the nonsense after being advised he would be held at Mukobeko Maximum for the treasonable and terrorist charges which could have been slapped on him both of which are non BAILABLE.

  74. Embrace them with un conditional love, I have three boys and a girl they are free to marry or be married to any boy including the Lozis. Let us not allow a few minority individuals devie us. The Education we have received for free should not be used mislead ourselves.

  75. Perhaps this has highlighted the long awaited need for our politicians to move speedily and implement what has been in the plans for a long time- Decentralization. This will give more power to the people to develop the projects that are close to the hearts of the local people, and will not blame the central Govt. for the failure of these projects in their area. There are countries doing that in Southern Africa e.g. South Africa each provinces has a prime Minister and a replica of the National Govt. structures including the Police. They are all accountable to the central structures in their respective ministries. The Zambian provinces already some parliamentary chambers which could be utilized. The people will take their own leaders to task for not developing their areas.

  76. Secession of Barotseland has never and wiIl never make sense, as you have quickly discovered Mr Ngambela?

  77. Could we have some clarity from Lozis who have some good understanding of the following issues:
    – Can the Ngambela make a decision outside of the BNC?
    – Can he reverse any BNC resolution?
    – Does the Litunga ever speak directly to Lozis so that they know his position on any matter? Like a democratic set up.
I am raising these matters because it would look like the Ngambela may have just been scared of the power of BOMA. Otherwise two years from now another Ngambela will raise this secession issue all over again.

  78. Pa last. You knew you’re not going anywhere with this fight. Just relax and don’t excitedly mislead your fellow Lozis. Wanting your indepence is one thing but acting as if you can defy the laws of Zambia is another thing my friend. You will just be arrested for nothing and no one will bring you food in prison. Good luck with your battle Bo Clement.

  79. This Ngambela was an MMD deputy minister and has only been a NGambela since 2nd february this year, no wonder he is irresponsible because he has had no experience in leadership.

  80. This is good. But tell was there another BNC to change the resolutions. Could this have b een championed by some individuals in the first place ??

  81. Am urging my brothers and sisters to come back to their senses and remember our ONE ZAMBIA ONE NATION MOTTO,and they have also to remember that the father of division and confusion is the devil.Brothers and sisters from Barotse lets guard our peaceful zambia and lets continue promoting unity. We love you.

  82. One GOD one Zambia One Nation One Leader & that leader JESUS CHRIST yesterday today tomorrow & forever AMEN!

  83. Let everyone no that the Ngambela did not change the resolution by BNC to separate from Zambia. The people have spoken. Barotseland indeed is pulling away. However you do not need to divorce your spouses, intermarriage is allowed world-wide. Business in another country is allowed, All tribes will be allowed to live in Barotseland and do business, just like we live in Zambia. It is hard to take, but we will soon be used to it. Insteady of wasting time insulting each other, start planning how you can partner with Barotseans and invest in Barotseland. The new country is starting from ground zero. There will be so many opportunities for development which Zambia failed to take up. We are in a hurry to develop and compete globally. It is a challenge worth venturing into in all aspects.

  84. Mr. MMD Chief Bootlicker, alwyas late and a dollar short!! What exactly is the basis of your rant? Seems you have the wrong end of the stick, dude! ‘As MMD we had great plans to develop that part of the region…’ you say, like killing innocent people, you scum?!! Have you no shame? Waatch how all your criminal MMD leaders go in one by one. You are a disgrace to humanity!

  85. Let everyone know the Ngambela still stands by the BNC resolutions. No Change. Barotseland is pursuing independence peacefully. That message has gone around the world. Zambia has welcomed a peaceful dialogue to make a peaceful transition. This is for the best interest of the two countries and the region. The Zambian security forces will soon head home to Lusaka as the UN peace keeping forces come in, until Barotseland can stand on its own militarily.

  86. I knew that this was an academic exercise in futility!Their Chief is very rational! Bootnicker you are a good ruble rouser you make conversations go!

  87. dear fellow Zambians
there are lessons to be learned from this impasse that has consumed much of our energy and time.the recent event took me back to history, when just before in independence in july 1964,the lumpa massacre in northern province, the kavalamanja massacre in 1978,the the maina soko incidence in 1967 and the mongu killings of 2011.These events my countrymen and women shall go down into history and haunt us because for most of them we should have done better.secession today was a futile toe and a wishful thinking. It therefore goes without saying, that peace and unity of any country comes before selfish motives and desires that compromise the foundamental principles of Democracy.LETS live us a nation with our common enemy been corruption ,poverty and social injustice.
