Government has assured the Zambian people that the country will have a constitution that will reflect the calls and wishes of the masses.
Justice Minister, Wynter Kabimba, reiterated that government is not going to have a hand to manipulate the process of the constitution-making process as it wants justice and fairness to prevail for all Zambians to have their voices heard and respected.
In an interview with ZANIS at his office, Mr Kabimba emphasised that the Patriotic Front (PF) government wants to see a constitution that is people-driven and not one which is government inclined.
He said Zambia will not at any time import into the constitution any foreign material but will stand in support of what the citizens will desire.
He further disclosed that yesterday he had a fruitful meeting with the Technical Committee on Drafting the Zambian Constitution.
And Mr Kabimba, who is also PF Secretary General, maintained that his party is still being strengthened in all the ten provinces across the country.

#16 it does not mean dual citizenship it means people driven. As it stands now the people that have submitted against dual citizenship, 50+1, running mate are more that those that want it. So it is unlikely we will have them. No one has submitted anything on gay marrieges so same sex marriege still reads as illigal. Personally I am happy with it so far.

Don’t cheat people,ba Winter.Every time we have constitutional review meetings you guy(PF) have stopped showing up.We usually plead just for you to attend, and when you do you make sure you shoot down everything that Zambian people want.We used to be together in these meetings when you were in opposition, and few weeks after winning elections.But nomba mwaliluba(you have disappeared) guys.After your skins started smoothening up and you started growing fat, then,ngwa ngwa ngwa, you disappeared.Now you want to pretend you are doing something about the constitution.

The devil is in that sentence. What he really means by ‘fruitful’ is that the committe budged to his demands to include what pleases him.
Why are they holding meetings with Kabimba when their job is simply to draft the constitution? Submission phase already passed and the committe should stop hosting suspicious meetings with Kabimba -who can only represent partisan PF interests.
