Roderick Kabwe Relieved With Warriors Promotion

Share

Kabwe Warriors skipper Roderick Kabwe has hailed his team’s promotion to the Faz Super Division.

Kabwe said it was not easy for Warriors to bounce back to the top flight league just a year after suffering demotion.

“For us as players it is a very big achievement. It was our target to bounce back into premier league, so we are very happy,” he said.

“Football in division one is very tough. It is not easy, you know with bad pitches,” Kabwe added.

The midfielder hoped that Warriors would excel in the Super Division next season.

“We are hoping that we can continue with the same form even in the Super League. We thank God we managed to bounce back within a year. We fought as a team we won as a team,” Kabwe stated.

  1. Its time you moved to a bigger team sonny, like Power Dynamos. Also work hard in India so that you earn a place in the final AFCON squad.

    • so u think by virtual of warriors playing division one then its a small team? its like this is when u have started watching zambian premier, don’t comment if u have nothing to comment.

  2. Is Kamanga still in charge of Warriors? Him and Simataa are quiet these days. What happened to their new league?

    • Simataa retired from football maters in Zambia, and Kamanga is still at warriors, he wanted to concentrate on warriors winning promotion.

Congrats to Walya Nkuku, walya moto…Take the team to higher heights…Rodrick remember 1987…That is the last time Warriors won the league…Emulate Richard Mwanza, Whiteson Changwe, Samuel Chomba, Timothy Mwitwa, Godfrey Kangwa, Maybin Mgaiwa (MYSRIP), James Chitalu, Matthews Ndhlovu, Noel Chama…these guys went to Div 1 at one time but while in the lower Division they swept all the silver ware…I remember them humbling Konkola Blades 7-1 in a Cup Final….sadly in 1993 most of these guys died in Gabon with the other National team heroes.
