The Chairpersons for all the seven constituencies in the Lusaka district have accused Kabwata Member of Parliament Given Lubinda who is also Foreign Affairs Minister of mobilizing United Party for National Development (UPND) cadres to welcome him at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport on Wednesday.
Speaking to the media yesterday, the chairpersons maintained that Mr Lubinda was disloyal, treacherous and a spy in the ruling party and that it was therefore wrong to continue keeping him in the party.
The constituency chairman noted that none of the cadres that welcomed Mr Lubinda at the airport on Wednesday were from the ruling party as the parliamentarian had organized the supporters from the opposition UPND.
“All the chairmen are here and they can attest to that because there was no PF cadre from any ward who was assigned to go to the airport and we aware that those cadres were from the UPND,” he said.
At the same briefing, Chawama constituency chairman, Robert Chikwelete who is also former Lusaka mayor, said the happenings to Mr Lubinda was a wakeup call to PF leaders in Government.
“This is a truly warning to all the leaders that if you don’t tow in party lines, you will be recalled the same way we are recalling Mr Lubinda.
“I know there are some of our councilors that were organizing the UPND cadres to welcome Mr Lubinda at the airport but this should be a timely warning to them,” he said.
Matero constituency chairman, Morgan Ng’ona said that Mr Lubinda should relinquish his position because he had failed to tow towards the party line.

I doubt these lumpens have any idea about the potention explosive ramifications of these primitive and stinking toilet acrobatics they are engaged in. Lubinda is not by any means a stupid man like Sata and by any stretch of wild imagination, he would not stoop as low as organising UPND cadres to receive him at the airport. These are all machinations of no other than Sata and Kabimba. Lest they forget, Kabwata is neither Nabwalya nor Muchinga, it is a multi ethnic melting pot with educated people unlike the monkeys that dwell kwa Nabwalya. If they spart a bye election so that Zondwe-nyana can be fieleded for him to subsequently take over from his father when he kicks the bucket next year, then they have a rude awakening in making.
I dont see Lubinda regaining the seat if expelled. Odds against him are too big. They have managed to cast doubts about his credibility a tag he will find very difficulty to defuse. This thing is turning out too risky for him. When Lubinda won the seat 1st time it was the UPND of Mazoka’s popularity he rode on and 2nd (ULP/PF)and 3rd it was the popurarity of PF in Lusaka, so I dont see what force he can use to contain PF and its govt. machinery in kabwata.
This advice to you Mr. President MCS is very free and leave it at your own peril. To many outsiders such as myself, Hon Lubinda is the only person together with your Veep who are worth atleast some substance. They are the only viable future leaders for your party and should you choose to expel Lubinda because of your lack of foresight and amiable leadership qualities, believe me, your party will have dug its own grave. Going with the rate of transgressions in your party, it will be a miracle if you will finish this term without the people of Zambia rising in a revolt. A good leader steps back, examines his performance, concedes his failures, asks for forgiveness and then reloads in a new direction of hope. Your not compromising mood is a true recipe for your impending doom. WATCH OUT!!.
To me if there is a minister with in PF who is consistent in his thinking, it is Lubinda, others are imitators, brainless drunkards. Leave Lubinda alone and you are just making him popular through that persecution.
I did not agree with people that said Zambians made a mistake by voting for Sata but in the wake of current events, with Kabimba proving that no one is closer to the Presidency than he is, even Nevers looks like a good candidate.
