A clergyman in Mungwi says there is need for the government to expand the current roads in the country to avoid fatal accidents such as the one which claimed more than 50 lives in Chibombo area.

Church of God Bishop, Sampa Musonda, observed that the amount of traffic in the country has increased tremendously adding that there was need to upgrade the roads to meet the current traffic demands.

He was speaking to Zambia News and Information Services (ZANIS) in an interview in Mungwi today.

And the Bishop has also wished bereaved families of the John Chinena accident God’s strength as they mourned their loved ones.

Bishop Musonda also paid tribute to the government for giving support to the affected families during mourning period.

He said the church will remain supportive to the government by offering prayers so that God can direct the nation at all times.

Meanwhile, The Church of God Bishop says there need for all well-meaning Zambians to support the recommendation by the Technical Committee on drafting the Zambian constitution to change the current electoral system.

Bishop Musonda says Article 135 on Election to the National Assembly is well-meant because it will reduce unnecessary by-elections caused by self-individuals who resign to join other political parties.

He said government was currently spending a lot of tax-payers’ moneys on by-elections which can be directed to other important national issues such as construction of roads and improving learning in schools.

Bishop Musonda said some members of parliament who were defecting to other parties were selfish and a disgrace to the electorates.

  1. I miss the December 1986 ZAMBIAN FOOD RIOTS, when thousands of Zambian youths rioted starting in Kitwe & spreading like the ARAB SPRING to the rest of Zambia. The great Zambian youths looted stores to protest a 100% increase in the price of Mealie Meal by former Zambian UNIP satanist Dictator Kenneth Kaunda.

Later gallant soldiers & the Zambia Police protected Zambians who were in the looting to protest against KK’s arrogance!

Why are Zambians allowing Dictator Sata, Kabimba, Mmembe & DPP Nchito in taking us for granted? When poor Zambians are suffering & dying from hunger not only in Solwezi but Zambia as whole? I can’t believe this!

Its time Zambians say enough with Sata’s Dictatorship as we did in 1986 against KK’s arrogance & not be passive as is is in Solwezi!…

  2. Its time we Zambians apply the December 1986 ZAMBIAN FOOD RIOTS FORMULA just as we did against Dictator Kaunda who was more ruthless than this PF autocratic Dictator Sata who has re-introduced Mealie Meal shortages & ritual killings in Zambia

Zambians in Solwezi should start protesting against this incompetent PF govt artificial shortage of Mealie Meal which has never occurred before since 1992!
Start protesting from corrupt childish North Western Minister Masumba who is busy living in Lusaka & campaigning for his corrupt friend Namulambe in Mpongwe instead of attending to Zambians in Solwezi who are dying of hunger from Mealie Meal shortage

Zambians now are suffering more under PF Sata than under UNIP & MMD!

Where are the Roman Catholics who cares for the p

    • shaka the DOG do not say “we”say’i ‘because you are the only fool who is frustrated
with the elected government of the PF until 2016

  3. Price controls never worked with UNIP Dictator Kk, so it wont work even this time! Price controls just like communism only destroys & prevents the growing of economy & small businesses just like Sata started from a small business!

The late former President Chiluba managed to stop smuggling in Zambia just as Mwanawasa & Rupiah Banda did!

What exactly is Dictator Sata’s problem that he has failed to solve this problem & why has he brought food shortages which ended in 1992 by Chiluba?

Sata & PF are deliberately creating unnecessary food shortage so that they can create business for their relatives & PF thugs!

Zambians dignity have been taken away again, especially when they lineup for the Mealie Meal & are beaten to form lines? There is no dignity at all!

    • This is what i tell my hubby every time he’s spends time reflecting when he’s on the dialysis machine that the country is in reverse gear but he fails to see the reality because he does not go out as per the Indians prescription. He relies on lies from his PF OP thugs like Judge Ngoma the ex-convict for grass root mood.I wish he could just go around even to Kabwata he’ll be shocked which is not good for his fragile health kabili………….it’s tough mwandini.

  4. Shaka Oz you are spot on. We are dangerously docile such that the PF and Sata have taken everything for granted. We need to redeem ourselves by showing this dictator that we are stronger than any force he is using to opress us. Zambians need to realise that they hold their destiny in their hands. If they allow this nonsense they will only have themselves to blame.

  5. Pigs in town?? What a shame. Next it will be diseases like chlorella. Honestly we should truly to concrete on improving the well beings of all ZAMBIANS these BY Elections are a waste of time and money. what are MPs doing to have such roads in their Areas.

    • They choose rural areas boi, if they can do that in town we can show them something unusual… They are fearing the Lubinda case cant u see? They know pipo here dont reason like villagers

  6. It is a fact that road accidents have greatly reduced with the advent of the dual carriage road. Why don’t we do the same for the Lusaka/Ndola road??

We can do it in stages to accomodate the high costs involved instead paying for bye elections all the time as the Bishop has observed.

Bye-elections deliberately created by ‘banamuselela kwakaba’ should be stoped at all costs. It is just too much!!!

  7. Yes the money used on by elections can be used to improve road infrastructure.I stopped voting in by elections long time ago because in most cases these elections are immoral.

    • @ mary… solution, Sata must just die,,, so that we have someone with a brain in state house,, someone who doesnot wear diapers and runs to india

    • @ ndobo you rotten DOG with a black tail how dare you wish the president dead it is better your useless mother and father dies first who has failed to discipline such stupid boys like you.

    • @kokoliko,,, if feel for child, that outburst!,,, i donot wish any president dead… i only wish the monister dies!, zambia needs a president with a heart, not some who is so desperate have more and more MPs in her party by creating bye elections at an expense of poor people!.. think my boy, donot just wash dishes there in states where you are.

  8. hh’ s insatiable appetite of plot one has made presido sata poach mps from the opposition for fear of impeachment.
remember, hh said that he will make sure that sata fails to govern this country wether by hook or crook.
how do you expect sata to save himself from the treacherous manouvres of ka under 5?
of course, its to have numbers in parliament and he has achieved that.
now the ka chap has resorted to insults through his hired guns on this blog.
freemasons will never rule this christian nation with or without sata.

  9. SHAKA OZ! how and who starts your filth revolution? Zambians wont start the revolution just coz one primitive savage called shaka oz says so. In other words you are agreeing with most people that are saying your prefered presidential candidate has no strategy and future looks dark hence your resorting to wishing for an unlawfull power take over or wishing mcs dies. What a stupid and foolish wish/strategy
