Ndeke clinic to be turned into modern hospital

Share

Government has started construction works to turn Ndeke Clinic in Kitwe into a modern hospital.

Bupe Ward Councilor John Chilupula told ZANIS in Kitwe in an interview yesterday that funds for the project are already available and some works have already begun.

Mr. Chilupula said the hospital will help de-congest Kitwe Central Hospital which is the only government Hospital in the district.

He said the opening of a modern hospital in the area will accord the people of Ndeke and Kitwe access to modern health facilities.

And Mr. Chilupula also revealed that Nkana Water and Sewerage Company have completed the renovation of three water tanks in Ndeke.

He said with the completion of the renovations, the water supply in the area will improve.

He said Ndeke and the surrounding townships have had a problem of water supply which was very erratic.

Meanwhile the Civic Leader has revealed that the road connecting Nkana East and Ndeke Village residential areas will be completed and commissioned by December this year.
He said the 6 Kilometre road stretch will be worked on by China Geo Ltd at a cost of KR118 000.

The bridge to join the two residential areas on the same road has already been completed.

    • Papajelly…
It can be expanded skywards…… is the space in the sky not enough as well?

    • Which Clinic are these people referring talking about? The small one in Ndeke Changa Changa Township or the one that RB commissioned in Ndeke Village? As for the Nkana East Road its long overdue and makes sense. Some years back during the Kaunda reign,Auther Walter Davies wanted to construct a bridge and road to connect Nkana East and Ndeke Village so that CPC workers who (were) resides Ndeke village and Ndeke Changa Changa can be using this road without going through Kitwe /Ndola dual carriage and central street but due to myopic city council leadership who thought this man will over their jobs they (Kitwe City Council) refused to allow him go ahead hiding behind security reasons. That it will be very difficult to control car robberies when that road is constructed.

  2. Great news that the road connecting Nkana East and Ndeke Village residential areas will be completed and commissioned by December. It has been a nightmare always taking a long detour via town center when connecting to these residential areas. Well done city council.

  3. Governemnt for the people!!! This is really good. Its been long overdue connecting this road, pliz consider even connecting Nkana east to Riverside just from 23rd street through pa chimupaipi or through Chipata compound.

  4. What about a road that will connect Ndeke township and the other side of of Kafue river which has not been develop because of river.Build one or two bridges and the area will open .

  5. Paulo di canio wansekesha at pachimupaipi.ya.long overdue indeed.i used to pass there when i was at CBU and my home was cpc village.

  6. This clinic is surrounded by houses, there is no space for expansion. Just find another place near Blue gate school it is even quieter than the old clinic.

  7. SUGGESTION
why not first improving the services, staff, equipments at UTH so at least we can have one go hospital or clinic, these are just projects to look for political attention like they are doing something wisely. Lift up standards please not only building new things at the same primitive level. Standard please no more calling new universities, clinic, hospital keep the one you have on good standard
