Power Dynamos defender Govenda Simwala has failed to recover from an ankle injury in time for Sunday’s away CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round, return leg against Recreativo da Caala of Angola.

Power coach Beston Chambeshi confirmed on Tueday.

“He (Simwala) is out of the team which is travelling to Angola. He is still on the injury list,” he said.
According to a medical review, Simwala will only return to action after three weeks.

He watched from the stands as his colleagues trained at Arthur Davies Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.

Simwala also missed the first leg tie which Power won 1-0 in Kitwe last week.

He sustained the injury in a friendly match against promoted Kalulushi Modern Stars played early in February,

Power are scheduled to leave for Angola on Friday.

  1. Had this boy been playing for his fathers team Kalampa would have succeeded in his career by now as that would have kept the fathers spirit happy hence bringing good fortune upon the boys career. Playing for a team like power “his late fathers enemy” only makes his fathers body rolls in the grave. And how would u succeed like that? Its injuries and not being considered for national team duties.

    • Shimpundu-Please do not believe in superstition. It is not a guarantee that when your father was living in Kitwe then you as a Son must also live in Kitwe without which you are doomed. False reasoning….kekekekekeke
