The entire MMD executive in Isangano ward in Lubansenshi constituency have resigned leaving only the Ward Councilor in the party.Mr. Francis Kasonde who was the Ward Chairman disclosed to Zambia News and Information Services in Luwingu that the executive resigned to join the ruling Patriotic Front.

Mr. Kasonde called on their Member of Parliament Patrick Mucheleka to consider resigning as independent Member of Parliament and join the ruling PF for the area to benefit from government. He observed that for the past six years Lubansenshi constituency has been in opposition adding that time has come for people to realize that the Member of Parliament cannot bring development in the area unless he works with the government of the day.

Mr. Kasonde said if Mucheleka resigns and re-contest the seat under the ruling PF he would be given maximum support by the community who wants to benefit from government. He observed that roads in Lubansenshi constituency were in a deplorable state as compared to roads in Lupososhi constituency.

Mr. Kasonde said the government has promised people of Lupososhi constituency with improved road network while in Lubansenshi only one road has been earmarked for gravelling.

  1. END OF M.M.D AND NEVERS MUMBA. M.M.D IS BURIED IN THE COFFIN 10 FEET UNDER GROUND. . WELL DONE LUWINGU,THATS THE WAY AND WELCOME TO THE PABWATO BOAT.

  2. Ena lo PF bamba zonke Thats the wayLuwingu. wishing you all the best , please work hard for the people and the PF party.

  3. govt has an obligation to develop the entire country not just where they won votes.

National development program transcends beyond and above partisan line.

In fact its in the interest of the party in govt to do take development to such areas to win over the support of the locals

  4. you villagers you think election nothing just tell your ignorant representative to be talking when they come to lusaka not just watching tar macs and next time elect someone who will be able to implement change the government support everyone.

  5. THESE VILLAGERS,,THEY JUST GIVE THEM A PACKET’S OF SALTS DURING ELECTIONS…AFTER ELECTION THEY DONT EVEN SEE THEIR AREA MEMBER OF PARLIMENT…..ATASE!!!!!!!!!!SHALLOW THINKING

  6. Pathetic failurers by-election sydrome is destroying our country. People need to be educated on the meaning of the word government. ruling party MPs+ Opposition MPs = Government.

  7. You dont need to be ih the rulling party for your constituency to be developed.development is for all Zambians.

  8. I wonder…Do these i.diots understand multipartism or prural politics?? Its a must for Gvt who receive our Tax monies to develop all areas in Zambia because all Zambians pay tax. Please note that whether vilager or not we all pay 16% VAT (tax) for every Item we buy. This is the money plus monies from other taxs gvt uses to dev. Zambia.
I think we need Tax Civic Education in Zambia. Can someone come up with an NGO in those lines? it is Governance related and money is available for such.

  9. You do not need to resign & join PF or ruling Govt. Petition your MP be it PF, Independent or Opposition for an audience & present your objectives as milestone of his representation of your community. Demand that whenever the parliament is in recess, he sends in advance his tour program clearly indicating the time, dates, places & agenda of the meeting and make sure he shows up in the constituency. All these MPs are the same because you don’t give them targets and buy like drinking to much of their chibuku that’s why they don’t value you for they have already paid you for the vote. This is true about GRZ & parastal officers, don’t have targets and that’s why they end up being involved in corruption since they have no worry of meeting targets & customer service is of no use to them.

  10. People of Zambia, take note that it is not only PF members who pay tax for them to restrict development to constituencies that they won.Infact the majority of PF cadres who are youths are unemployed and therefore they do not pay taxes other than VAT.An intelligent MP or Councillor must always track projects earmarked for his or her area at budget time and make noise if no project has been planned for his area.

  11. Ladies and Gentlemen you are all wellcome to our beautiful Party, Remember in this Party we work hard and we are not corrupt.

  12. It’s all about eating, not about offering services to the citizens, the politics of the belly. The calibres of munkombwe can they serve a public apart from filling their bellies.

may i ask, how many deputy ministers do we have of now?
