Opposition MMD leader Nevers Mumba has charged that the ruling PF is a blood thirsty party that thrives on spilt blood.
Dr Mumba said he has never seen a government that is so thirsty for blood like the PF in its two years of running government.
“This government only thrives when people die mysteriously. The PF government has allowed the senseless loss of lives across Zambia. The Commander in Chief, President Sata himself has allowed his troops to kill people at will and he has never issued any statement condemning such actions. He never went to Kampasa to mourn with the families of the deceased,” Dr Mumba said.
The MMD leader was speaking Tuesday morning when he featured on a special live radio programme on Q FM.
He urged Zambians to be more prayerful and the country approaches four more bye elections on July 25 2013.
“We need to ask God to protect our lives from these despicable attacks from the forces of darkness. We should not become sacrifices for this government. Each bye election we have in this country is preceded with people dying in mysterious circumstances. Only prayer can protect this nation and I call upon the Christian community to intensify their prayers during this period of bye elections.”
Dr Mumba called for dialogue between the state and its citizens in resolving contentious issues.
“On the Kampasa killings, the two lives lost were not supposed to be lost in the first place. Dialogue could have prevented all that killing. I remember when I was Vice President, I dealt with that issue and I encouraged dialogue between all the parties involved. You cannot just wake up one day and start shooting at people who have settled on that piece of land for over 30 years,” he said.
And Dr. Mumba said the well-oiled project to destalise the MMD has flopped.
“This government embarked on a huge project to kill the MMD. President Sata personally funded this project to the tune of K1 billion and he allocated K400 million to bogus NGOs that went round to community radio stations to disparage the MMD but that project has flopped.”
“As the MMD we are rebranding and we are getting rid of bad elements in the party and we will come out stronger than before.”
OK I wouldn’t put it that religiously, I guess am not a pastor, but yes the bottom line is PF will stop at nothing to consolidate its power, whether that involves blood scarifice of human life , I don’t know. I hope Nevers hasn’t been reading too much certain online media

If he had listened to people like pastor Patrick Siame,pastor Shikaputo,these are a few among servants of God who advised him not to take a political route and he told them that they should leave him alone because he sees things differently. Later of these wonderful servants of God had no option but to leave him alone. It was a sad chapter for some of us young men who used to look at Dr Mumba as our mentor.I remember that time I told my young brother that ba Never was taking a wrong route by going into politics. I disagree with Nevers. When people die in an accident while riding in the back of an overloaded truck during political campains, that has nothing to do with the PF. When ZNS officers get trigger-happy and shoot some people during a land dispute, it does not mean the president ordered them to do so. And when MMD is broke and cannot win bye-elections, it does not mean MCS has given NGOs to kill MMD. rather, the MMD killed itself long ago when it ran down the country. Any wise politician knows that he shouldn’t even waste his money on MMD. That MMD Mps are jumping ship is a sign that there is trouble- the ship is sinking.

A lot can argue against his sentiments but it’s because you are limited in the way you appreciate and value knowledge. You are using natural science as the only means by which you judge knowledge to be true or false and yet knowledge that govern your everyday life is not scientific. You sing in the national anthem and that God bless Zambia, how scientific is your request; you call prayers at Cathedral of the Holycross to pray to a God who can’t be seen. You refuse the existence of a dark world using natural scientific reasoning simply because it does not fit your situation.
