Zesco United rallied to beat Nkana 3-1 and replace the kitwe giants at the top of the FAZ Super Division table.
A brace from striker Wnston Kalengo silence boastful Nkana to leave the former leaders reeling to their second loss of the season.
However it was nNkana who took the lead in the 46th minute through Festus Mbewe.
Sadly the lead was all but just an illusion when Kalengo equalised in the 53rd minute.
Kondwani Mtonga extended Zesco’s lead in the 74th minute with an effort from the edge of the area.
Kalengo silenced Nkana with his second from close-range and set the record straight that it was actually a two-horse race come week 30.
Zesco lead on 30 points while wounded Nkana stay put in second on 29 as they turn their attention to Power Dynamos on Wednesday for a redemption win.

Ok am neutal to this fight going on here. From the study of the table, looks like ZESCO is the better team as can be seen by their superior goal difference. It is twice that of Nkana
ZEGA ni ZEGA,hard lucky to Nkana. Zesco are playing well and they derseve to win. To Nkana continue working hard and you have a chance of winning the league but the way Zesco is playing, it will be difficult to dislodge them.
So good to see people passionate about Zambians teams; Kalampa, ZESCO, Power Dynamos etc. Not the way it has been in the recent past, supporting Liverpool, Arsenal etc and no passion for our own teams.
By the way, it is also good to note that the our teams have started scoring many goals; ma 3-0, 2-1, 4-1 and not tuma 1-0 wins like in the recent past years.

You Nkana supporters dont seem to know the weakness of your team. You have a department which at a certain point runs out of ideas and defeats follows. By the end of the season you will be on number 5 or 6 and the first victim will be the coach. You will be lucky if you will finish the season at number 3. Mind you Zanaco is coming and you nave started loosing.
We need to be disciplined and hold on to the lead and not be like our seniors who too allowed Sudan to equalize just a minute after going up!
