MMD president Nevers Mumba claims former Petauke central Member of Parliament Dora Siliya was given the option to either join the Patriotic Front or have her parliamentary seat nullified.
Dr Mumba told a media briefing in Lusaka today that a named lawyer and a senior PF official threatened Ms Siliya that she risked having her seat nullified if she did not join the PF.
He says the threats have come to pass following the nullification of Ms Siliya’s election by the Supreme Court recently.
Dr Mumba says the PF should desist from acts of desperation and allow democracy to flourish in the country.
He has vowed that the MMD will defend the democracy the party fought for in the 1990’s.
Meanwhile, Dr. Mumba says PF campaign committee member Judge Ngoma should stay away from the forth coming by-elections.
This follows an incident during the Chipata Central parliament by-election campaigns where Ngoma is reported to have brandished a gun and fired live ammunition in public.
Dr. Mumba says the MMD will not allow him to destabilize its campaigns in the forthcoming by-elections.

Sacrifices by the PF for the forth coming bye-elections:
Seven people have died in two separate road accidents in Munkonchi and Shiwangandu areas of Northern Province.
In Munkonchi area five peopel died after the minibus Hiace they were on overturned with the driver losing control along the Munkonchi /Kapri Mposhi Road.
The accident in Shiwang’andu that claimed two lives was caused by a tyre burst on the truck that overturned leaving two passengers dead and severla others injured.

I challenge Dr Mumba if he’s a pastor worth being called a man of God let him come out in the open and say who those people are. Knowing him there’s no way he would not report such a thing if it were true. He reports everything else that is going on why not report this as well. If indeed Ms. Dora Siliya was threatened to lose her Parliamentary seat if she refused to defect to PF, then this is a revelation that the Judge(s) who nullified Ms. Siliya’s seat have been covertly working in collusion with the PF ruling party to disturbilize the opposition parties. This is corruption of the highest order. However, our Dora will comfortably win back her seat next month.
