Chipolopolo fans hit Zimbabwe

Share

Hundreds of soccer fans this morning left for Harare to go and cheer the Zambia in Sunday’s 2014 CHAN qualifier against Zimbabwe.

Government has provided six luxury buses that are ferrying fans to Zimbabwe.

The fans who were clad in national colours had gathered at Government Complex as early as 07:00 hours before departure for Zimbabwe.

The cheerful fans left Government Complex around 10:00 hours in a convoy of six buses.

Meanwhile, the home based Chipolopolo squad yesterday left for Zimbabwe
ahead of this CHAN qualifier.

Zambia and Zimbabwe clash at Rufaro Stadium in the first leg, second round match.

  1. Not more than ever before, the gvt has shown political will and zambians today seem to be more patriotic. My earnest appeal to Zedians here in Europe is that we go back, guys Zambia naiwama. Bravo to PF and especially to that hard working sports minister “Ka Leopard”. nostagical dejavu feels my heart, I’m tired of working for these bazungu.

    • Those who knew Joseph came into power and the Children of God suffered in Israel. Its high time we started going back home i totally agree.Home is home.

Zambia is developing at a very fast rate alot of infrustracture,PF Govt.is working unless you are blind.

We have new districts,New Universities, new good roads, new health centres, new Stadiums within 2 years yet MMD RULED for over 20 years nothing to show to the Zambian people.Sata will leave a mark weldone Zambians and i love my country

    • Go back! Don’t bother please. We don’t know you and you know us. If PF has promise you heaven….that’s your heaven alone! Declaring ‘new districts’ is not development. Your PF is closing institutions of higher learning because students are protesting the lack of accommodation. And you expect us to believe the nonsense about new universities! 20 years of MMD? No my dear there’s nothing new with your PF. They are still the same incompetent, thieving and dictatorial dimwits. Your current President was MMD SG for 10 of those 20 years. Chikwanda was Chief of Staff for Chiluba’s State House. If they had their way in 2001 Chiluba and not Levy would have been President. Just Go back and eat with your government Mr PF cadre!

  2. Go back alone. Tatwaishile pamo. No freedom of speech, arrest of journalists, parties cant hold political rallies at naiwa. U r corrupt wen u r in da opposition but become clean wen u cross to da ruling party

    • GUNDIXY
The question you should be asking is why don’t we have a noticeable presence at IAAF in Russia when we have a state of the art athletes track at Levy Stadium. You should be asking BUFFOON Kambwili who he will be sending to Brazil and by Brazil I don’t mean world cup BUT Olympics 2016!!

    • jayjay, your english premier league kickstarted yesterday and i thought was going watch some improved entertaining football…nay! i was wrong. All i saw was same amateurish hard running football which made me believe my chipolopolo are worth supporting coz they play far much better skillful, fluid football.

  3. My six weeks stay in my country, has made me to conclude that, surely uwikala mumupundu ebomfwa eko shipona. All the villagers I left some years back are now land lords, they own vehicles, they have built houses, they are well able to buy whatever they desire. This is not the Zambia I knew and I’ve been hearing about on social media.

  4. Stop yapping iwe. There are no signs of a dictator here only gross imaturity of some opposition leaders especially homohabilis and nefwasi mumbwe. Even if u don’t come we shall make it wee! Kutifyakulabika fimo. Go,go boys and butcher them!

  6. Other sports should be looked at . Did Kambwili see how the marathon runner in Moscow was dressed ( Vest from Kamwala market) sports isn’t football where you are sharing spoils with Galu Walya.

    • Spot on….we should be bench-marking ourselves with the likes of Kenya and RSA…sport should not be just football. Send our swimmers for training to RSA and Oz and marathon runners to Kenyan clubs for training. When was the last time we won an Olympics medal… Rugby and athletes is non existent.

  7. Come back or stay, is an individuals’ decision. When you land here, you will know the truth. Make your own objective decision. For me and my family we look to God 4 guidance and we shall be where he directs us. As 4 the free tickets I and my fellow tax payers have been made to pay for I grieve deeply. Pure pure political decision 2 win back partisan support.

  8. @ No need to stay please be factual. The two stadia are a product of MMD. In fact Levy Mwanawasa was completed even before PF came into power. Lusaka stadium was started before PF came into Power. Mike mulogoti as minister of works and supply signed for the Lusaka stadium. Remember Shamenda condemned the building of the stadia during campaigns. Anyway, PF Zealots are intellectually blind.

  9. YES, YOU THINK YOU ARE FREE WHERE YOU ARE… SHAME. WHAT DO YOU DO? ARE YOU A DOCTOR OR YOU WASH PLATES. ENJOY FREE SPEACH.

  10. Being one of the more than 400 funs travelled to zimbabwe, had a good experience to remember. Our 7 buses were decorated with scaffs, flags and chitenge materials and painted in our national colours. We flloded harare singing in streets to the extent of making zimbabweans into zambian soccer funs. In the Rufaro stadium, we sported the boys as earlier as 2 hours before the game. We made zim funs into marely spectators.
