Zimbabwe coach Ian Gorowa has declared The Warriors ready to face Chipolopolo in Sunday’s 2014 CHAN qualifier at Rufaro Stadium in Harare.

Zambia and Zimbabwe clash in the 15:00 hour kick off match eyeing a place at next year’s CHAN to be hosted by South Africa.

Gorowa said Zimbabwe will have no excuse if they lose to Zambia in the first leg, second round CHAN qualifier at home.

“I should confidently say we are ready to tackle Chipolopolo,” he told the Zimbabwean Sunday-Mail.

“Today’s game by its nature is self-motivating because the players really understand what it takes to play against Zambia,” Gorowa added.

Ahead of this match, the Zambian technical bench has been mute but FAZ vice President Boniface Mwamelo says the morale in the Chipolopolo camp is high.

Mwamelo said Zambia is looking forward to the match.

“Of-course the morale is very high in camp,” he said.

Mwamelo added: “We are looking for a positive result.”

Zambia have beaten Zimbabwe in the two teams’ last meetings with the latest being the 2013 COSAFA Senior Challenge Cup final in which Chipolopolo triumphed 2-0.
