The Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) says it’s premature for the ruling Patriotic Front to start debating the candidature of President Michael Sata in the 2016 presidential election barely two years after being voted into power.
FODEP Executive Director McDonald Chipenzi in an interview with QFM says the emerging rift over the in the PF over the endorsements of President Michael Sata as a candidate for the 2016 election is painting a bad picture of the party.

Mr Chipenzi says the differences in the PF over the endorsement of President Sata shows a lack of coordination in the ruling party.

He notes that the early endorsements of President Sata have the potential to shift his focus from concentrating on development and other important issues especially that there people with different views on his endorsement.

Mr. Chipenzi says there is need to give the president time to focus on delivering to the people of Zambia instead of shifting his attention to other issues that are not important at the moment.

  1. LT please ask McDonald Chipenzi to supply you with his latest picture, you’ve been using this one for 3 years. It does not do justice to him. I’m sure by now this man can fit in that collar size.

  2. I respectfully disagree. Say for example in the UK someone wanted to became Labour Leader, will they even Wait for the current Leader to stand down or will they just tell people of their intention to stand as the Party leader. The problem with us Zambians is we believe that parties are about one person. They are not. They are about putting together a program to sell to the public about they intend to Rule the country for the better, if the win the win the election. Please choosing to rally up support of themselves at the next convention is ok.
