People’s Party president Mike Mulongoti has said that speculation on the state of health of President Michael Sata will continue as long as government does not come out clearly on the issue.
Mr. Mulongoti said that the PF government has not done enough to dispel rumors surrounding the health of President Michael Sata once and for all.
He said that Zambians deserve to know the truth once and for all on their leader’s health status.
Mr. Mulongoti noted that sickness is normal and that the president is human can also get sick and seek medical attention which should not be a problem.
He has since encouraged the PF government to be honest and courageous enough and tell the Zambian people the president’s state of health.
Mr. Mulongoti has also appealed to the Zambian people not to make the issue of the President’s health a big issue, stating that every human being is bound to get sick at any time.
But Shamenda just did the same last week.He tried to dispel the rumours only that the people didn`t want to believe it.

ba peturo, heart problems do not change one’s look, they simply hit like he collapsed recently. look at how super stars in america go due to heart problems, they look very healthy and working and playing with girls, all of a sudden they r gone, cause it’s been hitting them behind the scenes.
In short, heart sickness is not like AIDS which you can see.

if only it were a genuine concern, i would applause Mulongoti, BUT looking at the political strings and interests attached to the “concern”, i cannot but tell Mulongoti to find other better means of gaining political mileage.

Mulongoti you saw Sata at the funeral you attended, please you tell us how he lookded. According to the pictures we have seen Sata does not look sick. Unless someone tells me the pictures were photoshop! Every jim and jack knows a person who is sick when you meet them. Even if he has a heart problem it does not show at the moment meaning it has been kept under control anyway! Let us move on from this topic and discuss policies!
So by joining PF in 211 before elections and vigorously campaigning for Sata,the likes of Mulongoti, Mpombo and Frank Bwalya were expectant of heft rewards in form of government positions? when PF won the elections, these vultures impatiently waited to be named ministers or vice president but nothing came. Mpombo was sent into foreign service as deputy high commisiioner, Fank Bwalya was appointed ZESCO board chairperson Mulongoti was not given anything. He impatiently waited pretending to be PF until he saw no light at the end of his own tunnel. He then turned around and started criticising the PF.
