    • The players have always been good. The confusion will come from the clueless renard who is set prove to you all how useless he is. Ghana will in no uncertain terms beat Zambia and i foresee a massive result.

    • But they already lost to Ethiopia, why is LT recycling news which is nonsense?

      Zambia lost end of story

      ridiculous

      Thanks

    • I support you we just need to psych the boys. Its a win in Ghana. Its a wonderful selection. Even kalume should be given chance in future ( I see a footballer in him).

  1. Fwayo shud lead the strike force not ba katongo. This is a crucial game. wat is clear is that the enviroment wil b xtremely hostile and also Ghana will aim at frustrating us. we need an all out attack … go Zambia!

    • Katongo is a hard worker my br. We need such a player so that room is not given to Ghana (that also helps in arresting momentum of your opponent). The other thing is that Ghana is very humid compared to the weather we are experiencing down here. Expect 60% probability of thunderstorms. Lets prepare well.

    • Katongo is my best bet for top man if Zambia want a miracle in Ghana.By “Top Man”,I mean central striker (not attacking midfielder or winger). The problem I have with the other strikers like Jacob and Fwayo is that they only want to score a goal and not win a game.We don’t need people who, after scoring ,just sit back and start behaving like they are Kings. Zambia needs to win the game 1-0 or 2-1 or 3-2 or 4-3 or 5-4. Katongo is the most lethal player we can have in the 18 yard box and also the hardest worker. If you play him in another position, then you might as well just keep him on the bench.

  2. If I were Renard. 1 Mweene, 2 Joseph, 3 Nkausu, 4 HH, 5 Sunzu, 6 Kalaba, 7 Sinkala, 8 Lungu, 9 Mayuka, 10 Jacob, 11 Chris. Subs: Tembo for Chris 70th, Chamanga for Mayuka 75th and Mukuka for Kalaba 80th.

  3. we have won this, I have already seen this, its gonna be a sweet victory, Ghana doesn’t have anything on us, well done boys…….

  4. Fwayo should start alongside Jacob so that we can some early. Fwayo can destroy a defense while Jacob has become a good finisher. Can get a result with this combination.

  5. Probable lineup: 1)K.mweene 2)D.Nkausu 3)J.Musonda 4)H.Himonde 5)S.Sunzu 6)N.Sinkala 7)C.Katongo 8)M.Mukuka 9)C.Mbesuma 10)J.Mulenga 11)R.Kalaba Substitutes: 1)D.Munyau 3)E.Mbola 4)K.Chintu/B.Chama/C.Munthali 6)K.Mtonga 7)C.Lungu 9)E.Mayuka 10)J.Chamanga/R.Kola 11)F.Tembo For us to win, we need experience not ukubikamo abaice.

    • @ Godfrey u v been sleeping the past 20 months….Zambia is confident because in a space of 6 months Zambia beat Ghana twice, and now they are set to to do the same in Ghana’s backyard, so now Ghanaians in panic are busy destroying their winning team, by including BIG NAMES in the squad hoping that big names will intimidate little chipolopolo boys…..I am amazed at your lack of self-confidence..

  6. @4 bambo, mwayambako mwe mbwa mwe, katongo shani? U a petty thinking fan, if u a frustrated by yo loose girlfriend dont take it on katongo. Viva chris! atase chi bambo

  7. We must support the team knowing very well that we can either win or lose. But of course we would like to win and hopefully, luck will be with us on the day so that we can conquer the Black Stars in their backyard.
There is no need to start threatening our players because they will do their best to win. If they lose, we must accept it and move on. GOOD LUCK TO THE CHIPOLOPOLO AS THEY TAKE ON GHANA – VERY DIFFICULT FIXTURE INDEED.

  8. I see Fwayo to be some good player but only for about 30 minutes. Substitutes send messages to the opponents in one way or another. Better Fwayo last after Katongo has exctracted energy from the Ghana players.

  9. I hate to burst your bubble people but Herve Renard (the PE teacher) CAN NOT win this match in KAMUSI maybe if it was in Accra but no Ashanti….I can even put my small plot in Lusaka on the line if I was a gambling man. The best you can hope for is a DRAW…we are not WORTHY..JUST imagine how much taxpayers we will save and keep away from those corrupt self-serving empty suits at Football House if we do not qualify.

    • Very unpatriotic way of thinking. Besides, do you not understand that if Zambia qualifies for the World Cup they will receive $14 million from FIFA for just qualifying? Compare that to what they’ve spent. How can a PE teacher win the AFCON and COSAFA? What is Zambia ranked now compared to nay other time in history. Stop your propaganda.

    • Please don’t confuse gullibility and naivety for patriotism where is that selfsame patriotism when those corrupt empty suits at Football House are selling tickets on the black market behind your backs or rewarding themselves contracts.
Do not you lecture me about the FIFA ranking system…FYI if we were more focused we would be ranked no. 1 in Africa. What you seem to forget is that HR is an expatriate employee on contract…you don’t owe him anything.
      Wake up from your docility!!

    • Ba Jay Jay, you misunderstand what this is all about, we are not being gullible, we are just being optimistic, it is Optimism that saw the supporters rally behind mother Zambia, beating Ghana and ivory coast and consequently lifting the cup, being pessimistic does not help, in infact it guarantees your failure in what you are about to undertake, so lets be optimistic together, no one will support Zambia for us…..One Zambia one Nation, Brazil here we come.

  10. This game needs a good defensive midfield and a strong attack. Being a senior soccer analyst I would go for
Mweene, Nkausu, Ba Jose/ Chama or Munthali, HH, Sunzu, Mtonga and Sinkala.
With this defense/ midfield we can kill any bird that comes our way. pantu balanda ati kalulu tapusuka imipya ibili. If one ***** beats Mtonga he would find Sinks waiting before HH and Sunzu take care of the business.
For attacking midfield I would go for Ba Mupashi, F. Tembo, Ba Chris and Jacob.

Second half I would go for speed Mayuka, for Jacob, Kola for Chris and Chisa for for Mtonga, knowing that by then Mtonga will be carrying a yellow card by 60th minute.
Theres is no room for Mbesuma in this game, we need players who can run through out, bleed for mother Zambia until the last minute

  11. That would be nice from Mr. Renard……beating Ghana in the backyard after failing to beat Ethiopia and Lesotho? In countries where Pipo are serious about football, The Ghana game would be Mr. Renard’s last in charge. We have to be serious and focused. HR has done his time and we are thankful of what he has done for us but I dont expect anything more from him esp that even himself is shocked that he won the AFCON.

  12. @ Mzungu wa Kajo, good team selection though i would make a few changes. 1, Mweene 2. Joseph,3. Nkausu ,4. HH, 5. Sunzu, 6. Nathan, 7. Kalaba, 8. Mukuka, 9. Jacob, 10. chris, 11. Chisamba. The rest can start on bench . Tactical changes Fwayo for Kalaba, Mbesuma or Mayuka for Chris or Jacob

  13. Interesting Coach! no worries, will always win because “WINNING IS OUR PRIORITY” go ZAMBIA go. All the best guyz pantu bakasanga tuletewa.

  14. Zambia must win to qualify. A draw means they are out. So since an outright attack will be better for Zambia. Attack is the best defense. Boys you have nothing to defend. Go there to enjoy football and fire bullets mercilessly. Go Zambia Go. Do it for mother Zambia. Wish you all the best lads. Whatever the outcome you are our boys. We love you.

  16. A bad carpenter always blames his hands! of course not… he blames the tools. Well, well, what’s my point? Football is not as easy as just kicking the ball and 20 men running after it. A point of which many souls can’t fathom. Remembr ZZ tops! Zinadine Zidan? Thiery Henry once said the things ZZ can do to a ball with his feet he couldn’t do with his hands. Skill and talent my friends is required to play football at the highest level of which have in Zambia but needs nurturing and support. Analyse closely the team named by RH.. Can you see that the midfield and defence lack credible players playing in renowned footballing nations abroad? Forget South Africa, I am talking about Spain, Germany, Italy, and England in that order. Though strikers need a speed is a must above all. We need…

  17. …we have talent in Zambia^ in many forms at that. I am a living proof!
…. though strikers need to be talented…
we need to strengthen the midfield, keep it close (tight) mobile and very disciplined. Football matches are won and lost in the midfield. Midfield supplies the scoring engine and protects the defending engine. Now ask yourselves why we don’t have any Zambian playmakers – I mean midfielders playing in major leagues? The answer is simple – our people lack discipline and understanding (education) This is position requires a lot of the said. Names that come to mind are ; Essien, Song…..

  18. I agree with Jay Jay. A number of my country men/women have such unbelievable faith in this so called coach HR. Folks lets be realistic here lest one of you die of heart attack. I will try to put this as painlessly as possible. we are going to Kumasi to fulfill a fixture. Lets go out with honor by not allowing to many goal. Unless the sun will rise from the west, lets forget Brazil 2014 and start concentrating on CAN 2015 and Qatar 2018.This is a done deal for black stars

    • @ confused.com is really confused and suffers from poor self-image. Many pipo like you think that u can only develop by living abroad i.e in the so called developed world. Think of how TP Mazembe fared at intercontinental club championship with only players born and grown on mama Africa!!! Nothing like huge renowned Essienis or Drogbas. if my history books serve me right Zambia demolished Cameroun 4-1 (1984 at independence, 5 years before i was born) with all their BIG pros playing in so called developed league of Europe, Zambia had none. Just like @ Gumu gumu and @jay jay, you guys are just demotivating specialists destined for failure and no place anywhere near the books of Heroes….zambia does not need hopeless pipo like u.

    • I believe the black stars will play like mad men to avoid humiliation at home ground, but let’s not write chipolopolo off. They might just pull off a shocker, leaving the black stars in tears and anguish.

    • @Ba Musenzang’anyi
This is the selfsame reason why the likes of Kalu are so laid back and enjoying taxpayer’s funding because you people are so gullible and docile that you are always eager to listen to sugarcoated half truths and bravado. What motivation posts do want us to submit when the statics for Ghana and Zambia are there for everyone to see.

      Wake up!!

  19. kHONDWANI mTONGA should start, noti Chivuta and Kabaso Chongo… is “Leaner” okay?? Anyway this will be his last game in charge and I will never miss the chap!

  20. Quite balanced, tongas 5,bembas 4,luvales/kalundas 3,chipata disco 3,lala 3,lunda luapula 3 atleast than chan squad thats why they lost was too much overloaded with bembas & their trible cousins its now go zambia go not go bemba go…..

  21. My dear Zambians, fellow africans,
It is always amusing to see how you enthusiastically support your team. But Kumasi kills enthusiasm, trust me for I have lived there for several years! On Sept 6, I suggest that you take a good lunch in order to make up for your lack of supper. Those who take an early supper may well puke, whilst those who wait till after the match may have no appetite for food. Kindly temper your fantastic pronouncements with reality i.e the Chips are not the best team in Africa, perhaps not even in Southern Africa. Now for a more practical advice, bring along gallons of water, many fresh towels and of course a mosquito repellent. whilst at it u may well bring along a mosquito net. The cuisine may be unfamiliar and very spicy. May Ghana win. Amen Thank you.

    • There is no reason to be uncivil on this forum, my dear friend. Its just a game of 22 young men scrambbling for a leather ball. At the end of the day, not one hungry mouth will be fed, no sick person gets better and the thirsty do not get filled. Although I hope Ghana wins, whether they do that or not would not change anything other than just make me feel bad for a couple of hours. Its football, get a life!

  22. kumasi!Kumasi! Coomasie! Koomasi! Kumase! keep haunting the bullets! The hunter has become the hunted! 6th Sept. the hunt of the hunter!

  23. Ts hightime we realised zambia has a good number of talented players and at the moment our defence has been solid.i wish for a day when sunzu, mbola, chisamba, kalaba, musakanya, mukuka, mayuka and jacob would make the starting lineup forget the positions we know they play.these are the best guys we have and the coach should make a team with th future in mind.chamanga lacks creativity and runs blindly ,katongo is hardworking but lacks some dribling skill, mbesuma is bulky how does he even pass physicals these three should be leftout or coming off th bench they hv been of great service but lets not depend on them.
