LOCAL Government and Housing Deputy Minister Forrie Tembo has given 48 hours ultimatum to Kitwe City Council management to release names of councilors and officers involved in illegal sale of the land.
Mr Tembo said in an interview yesterday that the report bearing names of councilors and officers in illegal sale of the land would be handed over to the investigations wing.
“I have given 48 hours ultimatum to management at Kitwe City Council to release names of councillors and officers involved in illegal sale of the land. The report would be handed over to the investigations wing,” he said.
He said it was sad that more than 500 people who applied for plots and paid the fees in 2010 have not been given plots by the local authority.
He urged the council to identify land to open it to the general public saying the public was forced to encroach into other people’s land because the council had no open land.
Thats right in the PF heartland…..yet they lie of being allergic to corruption.

I know two bornface lunga who has given plots to is galfriend or so called second wife and moreover the man is new in town but he as plots as if he was born en brought up in kitwe. Chileshe Bweupe who sold part of the Kitwe Zoon so iwe ka deputy minister stop pretending cause these names and complaints you have them. Fool.

Forrie tembo is a stup.id man. Who is he trying to hoodwink? He knows very well the people involved but wants to appear like he is working in the eyes of the public. This is how PF behaves. They are all corrupt and I can bet my last penny, the Kitwe saga will not get anywhere. Tembo is just blowing hot wind to fo.ol the public so that it appears as if he is working. It is common in all councils in the country for PF thugs to corruptly get huge chunks of land to themselves. It is everywhere and these chaps are on rampage because they know their party is a one-term government. They have done everything there is to be done to ensure they acquire wealth while in government. The PF will go down in history as the most corrupt party and government in Zambia. The courts are waiting for them.
KPF issue has gone quiet and now this minister comes on the seen to hoodwink us with ultimatums, please name the officers involved in the KPF saga first.

We need seriousness in this area because soon or later we our courts we be spending more time dealing with these cases. Those who want to build Council should not frustrate them with a view of repossessing the land to sell to others. We shall fight together, you are not alone Minister.
