Nkana’s crowning as 2013 Faz Super Division champions was delayed after drawing 1-1 with Zesco United today.
And fans were allowed to attend the match after Nkana won a last minute injunction after FAZ penalized them for their part in the abandoned game against Konkola Blades on October 27.
Zesco took the lead in the 8th minute through a Winston Kalengo header.
The visitors’ goal came seven minutes after Nkana striker Festus Mbewe saw his goal disallowed by referee Bernard Chabala for hand ball before he beat Zesco goalkeeper Lameck Nyangu.
Meanwhile, Nkana equalized in the 26th minute from the penalty spot through Reynold Kampamba.
Nkana won the penalty after Nyambe Mulenga had brought down Mbewe.
With the scores level, Nkana and Zesco engaged in a tense standoff off in the remaining 65 minutes that brought the best from bot sides goalkeepers.
Kampamba had a glorious chance wasted in the 81st minute to seal the three points they needed to secure the title.
However, the Nkana strikers’ point-blank range shot was saved off the line by Nyangu to see the game end in a deadlock.

what a funny league we have here.
if you look closely and do some calculations here and there, you will note that even power dynamos who are 8th on the table can easily be relegated if nkwazi, who are13th, win their remaining two games, and they loose all their games.
am not wishing any team bad luck but this is just my observation.
