Sata can never win the battle he has started with Lubemba- Nevers Mumba

Share

Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba being sharing a light moment with the Bemba Royal Establishment (ERB) “bashilubemba” in Mungwi District before a meeting with the traditional counselors
Bashilubemba

The PF and President Sata have chosen to bring insecurity and tension in Bemba land by their attempts to dethrone the recently enthroned Chitimukulu.

Previous Governments position has been to respect royal establishments in the country and their decisions in as far as their traditional values and choices are concerned. We are shocked at the unorthodox manner the PF wishes to interfere with the decision the Shi Lubembas have made of choosing Mr. Henry Kanyanta Sosala as Paramount Chief of the Bemba speaking people.

We condemn the unwarranted deployment of security forces to Chitimukulu’s palace. We demand that the police be withdrawn immediately as these actions will only antagonize the Bemba speaking people.

We understand that the President has requested for members of the Lubemba council to travel to Lusaka for dialogue. We don’t see how any dialogue can take place when the palace is under siege. We demand for the immediate withdrawal of the police before any meaningful dialogue can be considered.

We further wish to advise President Sata that he can never win the battle he has started. The Bashi Lubemba are the supreme council of the Bemba people and they do not report to the permanent secretary or the President. They existed before PF came into government and they will continue to exist long after PF has left office.

We therefore demand that:

a) The security forces be withdrawn from the palace immediately.
b) The installation of the new Chitimukulu takes place without any intimidation and interference from the PF government.
c) The PF derives a new policy which respects royal establishments across the  nation.

    • Well said. I pity the people that will be with Sata in hell. They would never have experienced so much bullying before his arrival.

    • PF are burning the fingers of those who guaranteed them votes in 2011. Without intact fingers come 2016 Bashilubemba will not vote PF.

    • Sata got to where he is through falsehood and fraud.

Money obtained through falsehood and fraud does not last. Careers or qualifications obtained through falsehood & fraud don’t evolve. Today, Masumba has answered the call to prison.

I don’t think Sata, realises that he is the president of Zambia. The calamity & failures coming from State House have become Titanic Embarrassments at an unbelievable level.

Sata “barks” and “woofs” at anything like a dog. His mind frame has not evolved from an opposition mentality, plus lack of education to understand effects in the nation, appears too much for him to take in.

    • its not a battle, its bread & BUTTER mzafacka …by the way who are chiefs apart from having witchcraft on their CV’s …? a president is bigger than a Kingdom..

    • NO, NO, NO, NON. No security instability to the nation is likely to be caused by accepting Sosala as Chitimukulu of the Bemba by the PF led gvnt. Security instability comes from the fights between GBM & Wynter K, which hav even resulted into bloodshed, and with that Sata must be concerned not the BTC’s decision to install Henry Sosala as paramount Chitimukulu. YUO Sata, put away your personal differences with that guy and govern the country well not this way NO.
Even the dead come from graves to tell Sosala pauses security risks to country, as sane person would not believe them. Don’t tell us that you have information that Sosala would bring about security instability, because this is not true. Unless you say you had shared a girlfriend with him hence your hate. SHAME on YOU.

  1. Good evening

I must agree. He has picked the wrong people at the wrong time to mess with.

If you trouble trouble, trouble will trouble you back.

    • @cindy and Nine chale
Its brutal!!! illi bad!!! the bemba kingdom has been captured,,, those paramilitaries are lozis, tongas and kavaules they brutal,, no mercy… there are missiles ready to bomb the bashilubemba and the chitimukulu
This is how once powerful kingdoms are turn into minors,, same way the great Britain became majors over minor France

    • @cindy, I really don’t understand why. I feel bad about it, not just because I’m Bemba but because I can’t see the significance of contending against tradition and culture in general. Perhaps there’s more to it than meets the eye but misplaced power-play is all I can see now.

    • @ndobo, you cannot capture what you cannot conquer. Culture is unconquerable. The military presence at the palace cannot hold down the aspirations of the Bemba people. These are long-suffering, ordinary people who have no interest in politics but only seek to uphold their traditional heritage.

    • @Nine chale
I feel for you my brother,,,, i have men on the ground in bembaland and they are updating me every hour, unfortunate for your people the chitimukulu and bashilubemba have captured and cut off from communication… the no communication coming out of bembaland, movement of peole restricted….things are tense!!!
3 trucks despatched for re-enforcement, from sesheke, choma and chavuma…basopo!!!
My men (the paramilitaries) are making sure that law and order is respected.. we need a new chitimukulu with tonga blood how doesnt threaten national security!!

    • @ çChale,
Am holding myself not to assume things might turn out worse than we expect. I dont understand… what does the president what to achieve with this issue? What is his case on these traditional affairs? Am getting worried, i dont want to give much details over my assumptions considering how tense the situation seems to be, however, this is no way of solving any problems, why are they so much on the defensive? I worry for my Zambia hopefully she will be alright, Zedmumbwa touching on clever weed of Sudan makes it even worse… good timing ZedMumbwa!

    • @Ndobo,
Someone must have “sold their soul to the Devil” and man he’s come to collect at whatever price…..how much we have no idea but sure it doesnt look pretty.

    • @cindy
kekekekekekekek cindy my sweetness what is `Zedmumbwa touching on clever weed of sudan makes it even worse` ???..
Bembaland is tense,, things are red hot… a brutal combined paramilitary forces of lozis, tongas and luvaules are in control,,they are brutal!! no mercy!! with orders from the president of the land… this is treson case, the chitimukulu and bashilubemba must be arrested and jailed,,,the chitimukulu and bashilubemba are a threat to national security,,, we need law and order in Zambia

    • @ Ndobo,
Its those ruthless Janja weeders and Zed mumbwa is ZWD, So it is indeed one Zambia one nation since our Lozi and Tonga Brothers are manning the Chitimukulu compound why then do people bring in tribe all the time? Anyways the situation will be back to normal by tomorrow am very sure of that.

    • @Chale, Ndobo and gorgeous Cindy…
This is hilarious, kekekekeke the way you guys have started ukutumikisha… Sata will definitely loose weight.
Sata Sata, he stepped pa minyau (black ants)!! Bemba Bemba… KK will tell him, balefyocha!

    • @ Nostradamu,
I cant follow you properly, language yashupako panono( ukutumikisha) please can you elaborate once again so i can understand fully? I just wonder who is giving such wrong advice to the president, very wrong and intimidated on their part.

  2. Looking forward to a time when this issue will stop gracing the covers of newspapers and online media.High time this was put to bed.

    • Why don’t you reach out to Sata and give him wise counsel? You never know he may just listen to counsel from staunch followers like you.

    • Zambiano, grow an opinion. Don’t be a groupie for ka little boy Saulosi. You just echo what he says and say nothing of your own. Please try, am sure you can string an independent sentence or two 🙂

    • @Saulosi, I tell you its a year of nightmares for PF, especially owner Sata and his disciple Kabimba.
I don’t think this will end nice, Bembas are not like Lozis, intimidating Bembas is like throwing a stone at bees… Kuiletelela fye.
I can’t wait to see if GBM will throw his Army at his grandfather.

  3. What does it require to impeach Sata? The man has failed lamentably to rule Zambia. He has no clue what it means to run a country. Who unleashes cadres on his own country as he has done? Who terrorizes his vice president, his minister of justice and cabinet as he has done? Who makes un elected first lady his vice president as he has done? Who fights kingdoms and pities kingdoms against each other as he has done? Who doesn’t address the nation to talk serious issues as he has done? Who makes Kaunda his vuvuzela as he has done? This man needs to be impeached.

    • Dr. Nevers Mumba and Chikwelete Kambwili above, what you need to be doing right now is to intercede in prayer and fasting to implore the God who blessed Zambia with Mr. Sata as our President for him to discern wisely how best to rule this blessed Christian Nation. You will not gain any political mileage by daily castigating and insulting the President jealously, rather he needs support and wise counsel on subject matter from the House of Chiefs, Cabinet, the Clergy and concerned citizens like myself so that he reconciles with BashiLubemba and least interferes with traditional leadership systems so that he ensure genuine peace, development and prosperity for Zambia the way he has strived that last two years. He least needs condemnations and insults, rather he needs prayers and support.

  4. The Panga Family- a bitter disappointment to some- but to us who knew the political charlatan Michael Chilufya Sata is, he has behaved in the moronic manner we knew he would. When he became President in 2011 some of us were sad but in the spirit of patriotism we decided to hope for the best but our minds were prepared for the worst which is yet to even come. The big question is will the scoundrels agree to be chased by the ballot or guns and pangas??? The Patriotic Farce…what a national disaster!

  5. The BRC should just let Sata have his SMALL victory for now. The next government will withdraw recognition of Sata’s imposed chief and let the BRC reinstate Sosala or whoever will be their choice at the time.

  6. we are fed up of this story, its now stale news. these village bembas also, you mean you can not do away with this useless tradition of paramount chief? we are in the technology age not stone age! of what value does a chief bring to the development of our country?

    • @ Matipa. If you’re fed up with this story don’t read it. Nobody is forcing you. Same goes for those saying we should move on from this story. The issue hasn’t been resolved and new developments keep coming up therefore it qualifies as something to be reported on. It’s still news. Thank you.

    • imbwa shimo? you cant even know where to start explaining some of these issues. am just sad with myself that people like matipa get me so riled up with their comments, but then again if i did not react this way then maybe it would mean that inside, i have stopped caring without actually realising it. i love my country and this passion i have for it,i dont want it to die. so matipa,i must apologise for using such words but i just have to keep this flame burning inside me. nothing personal, its just my country i care about.

  7. What’s the issue here for the head of state to be involved me I see no problem here it’s not all people who will like you in life but if you stat fighting all the perceived enemies even those who like you will eventually hate you too people are now educated and they know who is wrong even a chief we have cases when the subjects have condemned his thinking.

  8. Bahilubemba! Muyopa chani? Go face Cobra and tell him your resolved position. If you dont go Sata will be right to bar your Chitikanono.
These yapping like Never Presido are doing so out of envy for your votes and not wise advise.

    • HEAR HEAR HEAR!!! HELL HATH NO FURY LIKE A WOMAN SCORNED!!!!

CINDY CINDY!!! Shall we ever be able to hold you down??????
      Sata malibu yaku ilombela!!!

  9. The Bemba Royal establishment does not owe the president any explanation. Why doesn’t he travel to the Chitimukulu’s palace if it is that important to him?

The only thing i don’t like about this newly appointed Chitimukulu is the name, Henry Kanyanta Sosala. “HENRY” C’mon, shouldn’t he drop that name if he is going to be a traditional leader?

  10. @ 3 Nine Chale. Who are the right people Sata is supposed to be abusing? Let him abuse his fellow Bembas, he has declared a state of emergency in Western province and people live in fear, “Chawamila a chona kuipila a galu.

  11. I can see GBM in that picture. Why is he not commenting on this matter, is it because he is on the side of the chiefs? This Bemba government is so divided and disagreed on every issue, it’s terrible.

  12. Mr President, please humble yourself and listen to the many voices of reason. There is no need to inflame matters further.

The people of Zambia voted for you because they had confidence that under your leadership, they would be free to regulate every aspect of their lives, including their culture, without any interference.

For centuries and centuries, our people have kept their traditions as a strategy to master their existence. The state must not place itself at variance with the clear and precise provisions of their culture.

The installation of Chitimukulu plays a central role in the lives of the of the Bemba people. It is of absolute necessity that the ceremony takes place without any instruments of government paternalism.

    • am happy you have abandoned your caderism mentality.you are now exhibiting the original sharp iq we knew you of before you became sata’s trumpeter like membe.you have seen than this man is a failed project

  13. Excuse me country men and women,is this the same Sosala that used to be a cadre for the MMD? The man was openly against the opposition despite calls for traditional leaders to be neutral him was even a dancer at MMD rallies just like Masumba.

  14. Zambians,I warned you! That dont vote for this serpent you thot tht I was jst being paid to discredit his name.2years down the line people are leaving in fear and intimidation by Zabwino Palibe.Kuli bashi Lubemba kwena akapita nensapato and no matter how hard is going to fight,he wont win this battle.Apa he is even scared to go to northen province thts why he wants the BTC to travel to Lsk so tht he can intimidate them at state house.Shame!!!!and go to hell with your satanic motives to disturbilize the peace tht has been in Bembaland and the country at large.Remember we are watching you!

  15. Umuntu ushumfwa pafingi, napafinono teti womfwe iyo! Sata alitipwa and hence the lack of respect for structures that have been there. Sata is an example of a bad leader, it is very strange that he cannot understand the tradition that he has seen since childhood!

  16. Sata is like frankienstien!!! The fairly tale of a monster that devoured itself. He is his worst enemy. He is destroyed the party he created!!! Like amayanda yama loba.

    • @Awe sure,
Am gonna watch that movie now so i can analyse him properly i actually missed it last night since you’ve compared it to the president let me judge for myself. Will give details on the comparison tomorrow.

  17. Hey guys stop critisizing the president u can’t
see the roads and districts being implimented
anyhow as if sumone is dreaming, learn 2appriciate
Lesa tatemwa. I love u all. gudnyt Zambia.

  18. Next time please correct spelling is implement & not impliment. I think texting is killing the ability for people to write proper chizungu.

    • Fellow Africans, when I sit down and analyse the happenings ,your contributions sometimes sound to be so immaterial. Busy correcting friends English ,you at times remind me of the wapatula time at school when am busy giving spellings and writing for the owners of the language. They are not even shy or ashamed how I wished people could laugh at each other ati wapatula when they speak in their native languages e.g Bemba. It is high time we became proud of our languages, umusungu nga apatula when using for example Bemba we don’t even talk about it why?

    • Iwe chikubabe, “Chakubaba” shani?? Ule lemba fye mu chibemba – ninshi wa chi bonfeshya ichisungu pa kwa bulula umu nobe??

  19. HERE
The High Court verdit displeased Chief Mpepo hence the appeal to the Supreme Court.
Supreme Court Judge Sandson Silomba has opted to overturn and set aside the High Court ruling on grounds that Chief Mpepo was duly appointed paramount Chief Chitimukulu by the ‘Bashilubemba’.
Justice Silomba says he is aware that chief Mpepo has by Statutory Instrument been recognized as paramount chief Chitimukulu.
He contends that the Bashi Lubemba have the final say over who takes over as Chief Chitimukulu and are not restricted to the system of ladder climbing and seniority.
Justice Silomba’s opinion is that it is not the duty of the Court as the High Court seemed to imply, to choose or impose a chief on a community.
He adds that in the case of the Bemba customary law of succession, it was…

  20. its not a battle, its bread & BUTTER mzafacka …by the way who are chiefs apart from having witchcraft on their CV’s …? a president is bigger than a Kingdom..

  21. Dr Never Mumba, on this opinion, you are right. PF and Sata seem to have a big bone to chew with the Paramount Chief Chitimukulu. It started when Sata was opposition leader. This stand off is not healthy for Sata and PF. Listen, listen and listen. Hands off Chitumukuku. Your popularity comes from there. Remember that days are numbered. When you get to the top do not remove the ladder you used to climb up. Your fall can be fatal.

    • You are very right,Sosala has been and is a political cadre wa MMD from time immemorial. So your Chitimukulu is within the firing range in the political arena mwata. In short is one of us in this family of politics let us not even bit about the bush just find some descent headmen not in politics otherwise that one we shall continue firing. That is why Nerves is busy defending his own cadre,SOSALA openly attacked the opposition.

  22. 2010 ? THE PF GOVERNMENT WAS NOT IN POWER
THEN WHEN THE HIGH COURT ISSUED THE
    FOLLOWING JUDGEMENT:

“THE Lusaka High Court has issued a restraining order against paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba people of Northern Province and others not to interfere with the chieftaincy of chief Chewe Kamponge IV……

The Lusaka High Court, in its ex parte order of interim injunction, restrained the Chitimukulu not to interfere in any way whatsoever with the chieftaincy of chief Chewe Kamponge IV”

CAN SOMEONE EDUCATE ME ON THIS MATTER?
    WHERE DOES SOSALA FEATURE?
WHAT HAS JUST BEEN GOING ON THERE?

  23. The High Court judgement in 2010 was against Chileshe Yulaya Mumba, also known as chief Chewe Kamponge IV, Acting Chitimukulu – Ackson Mwango Chilufya Mwamba, as the first defendant, Mutale Chisanga Ng’andu, also known as Kapolyo Yusufu, as the second and the Attorney General as the third defendant….”

MR SOSALA WAS NOT EVEN A PLAYER IN THE GAME THEN..
    PLEASE EDUCATE US?

  24. Okey. Mbuyazi u have failed 2 sort these guys out.Give us a rough estimate of police officers deployed there so that we calculate how many boxes of bees we can assist u with to sort them out.one box of bees is equal to one thousand police officers.so calculate and write to anzelu akumawa.

  25. The president wants to leave his family tree everywhere so that they all make money and be rich but one thing he forgets is that the panga boys are going nowhere. He has failed to put order in his party, he wants to frustrate everyone. Come 2016 Sata is history.

  26. I am PF strong supporter and not a Bemba by tribe but I really dont know why the President wants a say in the traditional affairs, it rises many questions what interest the president has in the tradition affairs. If he leaves office how does he expect to be respected by the new Chitimukulu if not replaced as he is wishing to be!!!

  27. I demand peace in Bembaland. Withdraw troops from Lubemba. Why the fuss? Throughout Bemba history, only one Chitimukulu was deposed. This was Chitimukulu Susula. He sought refuge in Mambweland at Senior Chief Nsikolo’s palace. He stayed there until he died. But his body was reclaimed and taken to Royal Bemba Burial site (Umwalule). Susula wa not overthrown by any state government as there was none in existence then. H e was removed by the Bemba royalists who percieved his rule to be against the Bemba norms. Succession to the Bemba throne has always followed an elaborate procedure. Two routes to Lubemba seat on the banks of Kalungu river have for along time been followed by chosen successors.

  28. Ba Nevers Mumba apa mwalandapo ifyamano, you are 100% right, Satana and Company cannot win this battle. Whoever tempers with Bemba Kingdom is tempering with fire. Ba Satana should think twice on this one. Remember how much support you received from the people you are busy persecuting. You should rule with dignity so that at the end of your term of office you also leave with your head high. Even RB was better than you on this one.

  29. Its darkness versus light,Hitler versus the Dalai lama and can someone please tell our Boris Yelstin to let culture and tradition thrive.its abit cryptic because it is for the elect, the rest may rumble on;-)
