Zambia targets a quaterfinal slot at the 2013 Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup when they face Somalia in their final Group B match in Nakuru on Wednesday.
Chipolopolo are joint top of Group B with Tanzania on four points apiece.
Third placed Burundi are on three points while bottom placed Somalia have no point.
Zambia must beat Somalia to secure a quarterfinal place regardless of the outcome of the other final Group B match between Burundi and Tanzania.
Zambia has never lost to Somalia going into Wednesday’s match with four wins and none of them by less than a four-goal margin.
The two sides last meeting was also the the Cecafa Cup in 2010 in a final Group A match that Zambia won 6-0.
Zambia kicked off the Cecafa Cup campaign in Kenya with a 1-1 draw against Tanzania before beating Burundi 1-0 on Sunday.
Go get them, tigers … good luck tomorrow!!
??? Tigers? Some people on this earth?
Why Tigers? Who are tigers? Have you been dreaming about tigers?
IWE Pumbafu..
The team will only secure a place in the quarter final if ever the coach & all technical bench put more pressure on the team especially in attacking up front line with good communication as well as shooting from are far. We do not want to see players who run like a kid……otherwise ni go Zambia! go Zambia go
Quarter-final they will reach but I doubt anything after that
I hope they lose bigtime so we can focus on what matters….like building schools, perfecting our constitution, improving our awful sanitation.Mpira ni ujinga ya walalahoi na wavivu.
Haha, you’ve badly lost this CECAFA match 0 to 6.
Zambia need to score just 1 goal, and they are experts in scoring just 1. There no need to score all those 6-0. Just 1, and then entertain the Kenyas & Somalians with best passing-game.
lets support the boys they are trying their best. Remember we are using a developmental team whilst they are all using their cream. Besides in football underdogs in real sense no longer exist these days.
This is all what zambians know , kicking the ball, nothing else, chinese are busy mining the copper
Even China has sporting desciplines, for your information China hosted the olympics recently, even the most successful nations do participate in sport.
THE COPPER BULLET FIRE-ZAMBIA GO CHIPOLOPOLO GO AND CONQUERE THEM.WE BEHIND U
It’s not the quarter finals we want. We want the cup period
Chipolopolo should forget about their previous meetings with Somalia to avoid laxity. The pride of the chipolopolo is at stake here and this is the more reason why Zambia should go all the way to the final and win the title.
go zambia go we are behind u do your best.
