Zambia U20 chase respectable Cosafa exit

Zambia Under-20 ends their unsuccessful Cosafa Cup title defence with
a formality match against Seychelles on Tuesday in Mafeteng.

The Junior Chipolopolo relinquished the Cosafa Cup title on Saturday
after succumbing to a 1-0 defeat by South Africa.

Zambia is expected to beat Seychelles and salvage some pride as they
exit the regional youth tournament.

The Oswald Mutapa coached side kicked off its futile Cosafa Cup
defence with a 1-1 draw against Namibia before losing to South Africa.

Zambia are currently third on the Group C log with one point from two
matches, five below pool leaders South Africa while, second placed
Namibia are on four points.

Meanwhile, Namibia and South Africa clash in their penultimate Group C
match eyeing a slot in the semifinals of the tournament.

  1. I am a bit confused here. Does it mean these games started at quarter finals stage? If so, is the reason being that there are just too few teams who participate in the tournament? Someone enlighten me please!

  2. But they are still in contention , if Namibia loses and Zambia wins then goal aggregate will be used to determine who moves through.

  3. Does LT take time to research so that they right what is right? Nevertheless,our teams are an embarrassment.We seem have players who are lost and don’t what to do.No love for the country.Fichipantepante!
