Zambia have won bronze at the 2013 Cecafa Cup in Kenya after beating
Tanzania in a third and fourth play-off match at Nyayo Stadium on
Thursday.
Patrice Beaumelle’s Chipolopolo defeated the Taifa Stars 6-5 on
post-match penalties after a 1-1 draw.
Zambia keeper Joshua Titima was the hero of the day after saving three penalties.
Felix Katongo, Ronald Kampamba, Bronson Chama, Julius Situmbeko and
Kabaso Chongo all converted their spot kicks for Zambia.
But midfielder Kondwani Mtonga had is penalty saved by Ngassa while
Justin Zulu hit the upright.
During open play, Kampamba gave Zambia a 51st minute lead before TP
Mazembe striker Mbwana Samata equalised for Tanzania in the 64th
minute.
This was Kampamba’s third goal at the Cecafa Cup.
Meanwhile, Zambia failed to reach the Cecafa Cup final after losing
2-1 to Sudan at the semifinal stage on Tuesday.

Patrice is best coach, so free-souled. He gave chance to all players, except that Power Dynamo Nkowani. Both goalkeepers had good games.

It means alot to those boys from humble background.Why are concerned?.They have visited mombasa,a place which probabably none of your faamily members will manage to visit.To the boys..dont be dicsouraged my the sons of the devils who see nothing good in anything happening in zambia.
Same Pride and also $10,000 been won. Better than nothing especialy that other teams had all the stars like Samata of TP for Tazania.

But the guys played well though they messed after leading Sudan by a goal infact the.re better than the senior team if you look at the senior team’s performance since winning Afcon how many teams have they beaten, even at 2013 Afcon they were eliminated in the first round as if they were not the champions Patrice and the team I salute you but work on the defenders they sometimes become so careless.
I watched the game,the standard of play was pathetic.The coach was also a suspect.We will never be champion again if we do not improve.We can never live under excuses.Seriousness is needed if we have to go up again.If those boys who played, their lives depends on football then they should improve.
Ba 11 i think you have never played or watched serious footballers like neymar,Ronaldo,Chris Katongo..even-if its not their day they really fight for the balls.11 Advice is that you see an eye doctor or watch a lot of sensible footballers and learn to call a spade,a spade not a big spoon.
Not happy with the bronze but this is the farthest you have gone in this tournaments since 2006 … so I will take the bronze.

I like this Sate sate boy. They boy knows where the goal is. He only needs creative midfilders like Kalaba. Give him one chance, and it will count. The reason people think he is so quiet in a game is because he lacks supply of balls. The guy is a goal poacher. Renard give a fake reason for not including him in the Squard. I like this ka boy.
Well done Sate Sate. The technical team should litsen again. Bring back Mudenda and Mundia and that other boy, Banda from Zesco. Team selection is still a problem. Defenders and strikers go to sleep. In the past, if Zambia scored first , we counted it as a win because the defenders closed the gates at the back. If we conceded first, we knew we would comeback and win. Remember 1996 Africa cup final. Down 1 – 0 to Egypt and coming back to win 3-1 in second half. Chama has become too heavy. Chipata boys should practice taking penalties. Bronze was better than nothing. Better luck next time. How much will the players be paid out of the $10,000?
The many bazungu tourists who flock to Mombasa were probably a big distraction for our hormone charged young lads.At least they brought home $10k.

I like Patrice’s courage in his selection of players. Winning the cup could have been detrimental to your youthful career and your young team, too. Keep the hunger, Patrice. Keep hunting. Your time to win greater honors will come. For now, I am thankful for the bronze. It’s not like you came back empty handed.
