Veteran Konkola Mine Police keeper Evans “Nkalamu” Chewe has ruled the possibility of retiring ahead of the 2014 FAZ Super League season.
The 35 year old goalkeeper is a key member of the Mine Police squad that survived relegation on the final day of the 2013 Super League campaign.
In an interview, Chewe said he can play for two more years before quitting active football.
The ex-Nchanga Rangers and Zambia keeper said he too fit to hang his boots.
“I will continue to play next season,” Chewe said.
He added:” I can play for two more years until I fell that I can no longer continue.”
Chewe was a member of the famous Nchanga team that won the club’s last league title in 1998.
Most of his peers in that Nchanga squad among them Elijah Tana and Moses Sichone have retired.
Chewe played professional football at CAPS United in Zimbabwe between 2004 and 2007.
