Kitwe Council sends SOS for Chingalika

Share

Kitwe City Council announced that it is searching for partners to help it run
“Chingalika” Kitwe United Football Club.

The local authority has been struggling to properly sponsor the FAZ Division One North side.

Council spokesperson Dorothy Sampa acknowledged that Kitwe City Council has been limping to pay players at Garden Park Stadium.

Sampa stated that financial challenges were hindering the performance of the Buchi Boys.

“We are looking at various stakeholders who could come through and help to sponsor Kitwe United,” she said.

Sampa said Kitwe City Council was content with Kitwe’s display in the 2013 FAZ Division One North campaign despite missing out on winning promotion.

The club finished fourth on the Division One North table.

“As Kitwe City Council we are very happy with the performance of Kitwe United,” she said.

Sampa added:”Of course our expectation was that the team qualifies into the Premier League but we are aware of the so many challenges the team faced.”

Kitwe City Council repossessed the club from Hexagon Limited three years ago.

  1. Book running a list of membership royal and faithful suporters, then showing the corporates the initial efforts and wooing them for sponsorship as an attractive branded club like Nkana or Power getting advertising deals or sign ups in that line supporting the finances of the Club or complimenting as it where.Like Manchester Chelsea or arsenal or pirates or chiefs or inymba later the tunisias, the key to operationalizing the club first is clean up and be neat around then book run membership royal and formidable carefully working out the subscriptions then motivating the players to work hard making the club attractive to sponsors resulting in improved revenues in gate and brands

  2. #2. That kind of thinking will not take us anywhere. Your grandchildren will play football at the same venue. Change for good. viva Chingalika.

  3. Learning from above peers is not difficult but raising a passionate soccer fun base large enough in a locality both individual and corporate is what is important to operationalize the Club wooing sponsors to materially promote the club well being and its brand

Successful clubs have gone this way before being formidable being listed attractive to blue chip sponsors Talk of Pirates Enyimba, chiefs ,Manchester or indeed Mazembe

If you are lucky you can have it easy by a magnet investing in your club but that often I shorterm the club if for the foreseeable future will need to build its brand as above and be a going concern

Follow the football industry and learn how people have made…
