Luwingu youths calls for solution to PF confusion in Northern province

Share

Youths in Luwingu district in the Northern province have called on the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) to quickly sought out the mess in the party before the matter involving Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba (GBM) gets out of hand.

The youths said the impasse between GBM and the ruling party can only be solved by President Michael Sata himself who is founder of Patriotic Front (PF).

“We the youths in Luwingu district are not happy with what is going on in our party. We are appealing to the president to sit Mr Mwamba down and others connected to him before the party is destroyed,” they lamented.

The youths voiced their concern to Zambia News and Information Services in Luwingu saying that the confusion in the ruling party was detrimental to national development and that if not checked will affect the party’s performance in the forthcoming presidential and general elections.

Speaking on behalf of the youths, Kaziby Kalulete said that what was currently happening in PF was sad development and appealed to the president to quickly sought out the mess.

Mr Kalulete said the wrangle that has rocked the party in the recent past is spreading like bush fire to other parts of the province and will adversely affect the party in the region.

He appealed to President Sata to urgently sought out the matter and not to hide behind the iron curtain but to bring the erring factions together so that the matter is dealt with there and then and continue with the ambitious programme of developing the nation through 8000km road project which has received tremendous support.

“The people of Luwingu are desirous of development than unnecessary wrangles brought by some of our political leaders who may not have the vision for the province and the country at large,” he said.

Mr Kalulete said many youths in the district were wondering on what was happening to the vibrant ruling party now working as if it was still in opposition.

He lamented that the collective responsibility by leaders appears to be downtrodden and there is no regard for constructive speech.

He further said the transfer of Obius Chisala from Northern province has not been welcomed by the youths in Luwingu district and urged the president to consult widely before taking a bold decision because some disgruntled cadres in Kasama were feeding him with fake stories.

Mr Kalulete appealed to the president to open the windows and see for himself other than depending on rumours which might affect the party.

“In 2014 we need to start mobilizing the party and elect new office bearers for the branches, district executive committees and provincial committee which will spearhead the 2016 elections,” he said.

Meanwhile, Mr Kalulete has commended government on its efforts to carry out programmes of developing the country through infrastructure development across the province and the nation at large.

  1. young man whether you like it or not, the truth is that there is no redemption left for your party. just look elsewhere for a viable and promising party to join. the boat is definitely sinking and sinking fast. especially with sata at the helm, forget

  2. Wht no redemption?Uuhhhhh anyway there’s no promising party wht re they going to cheat with ongoing developments & lndeco underway?Kaya boza fr othres to upset whts on ground yaipa l can assure u.

  3. The major problem is the fact that the Republican President Mr Sata has embroyed himself in the succession to the Chitimukulu throne. If the president can back off and let tradition procedure go as it should this wrangle can be over. Who is the rightful hier to the throne if Mr Sata does not like the one Bashilubemba have installed? This is the only problem, once solved all will be ok.

  4. Am wondering as to why they dont just ignore Government and proceed with their affairs? I mean…..they can simply make decisions and regulate the tradional laws without any hastle, so why not just sort them out through unresponsive action?

  5. Demanding for political resolution and yet there has not been ZNBC for more than 6 months now in Luwingu. This Government.
