Ndola Utd mourns keeper Miyambo

FAZ Division One North side Ndola United are saddened by the death of club vice-captain and goalkeeper Nevers Miyambo who passed away last week.

Miyambo, 25, died on 31st December 2013, at Ndola Central Hospital
after an illness.

Speaking during burial in Mufulira last Friday, Ndola United
Chairperson Cephas Katongo described Miyambo as a dependable player.

Katongo said his death was a big loss to the Ndola City Council owned club.

“Miyambo was a dependable player, who related very well with the
officials and team mates,” he said.

The deceased footballer launched his career at FAZ Division Three side Butondo Western Tigers in Mufulira.

Miyambo played for Roan United, Mufulira Blackpool, Mufulira Wanderers and Mining Rangers.

  2. Never heard of him in zambian soccer not even the mentioned club, these are people who just want a clubs support (financial) but the man was nowhere in the books of Ndola United . MHSRIP
