FAZ Division One North side Forest Rangers have appointed Kellies
Mwaba as an assistant coach.
Club Vice-Chairperson Richard Kalasa confirmed the appointment on Monday.
Kalasa said Mwaba commonly known as Pay Master is part of the new
technical bench Forest are constituting following the departure of
head coach Hector Chilombo.
“We have appointed Kellies Mwaba has an assistant coach,” he disclosed.
Prior to his appointment, Mwaba was coaching FAZ Division Three side
Olympic Circles of Mufulira.
He played for Forest in the early 1990s before joining Power Dynamos.
Meanwhile, Forest will this year begin life in Division One North
after suffering demotion from the Super League last November.
Pay Master- what a player he was, those were days. I hope he performs as a coach.
is this the same short man we used to watch at power in the 90’s? koma ka nali kutaba ka munthu aka ku wing eeeeeee! gud luck in your new job.
The “George Best” of Zambia.Did not excel at National team level but contributed heavily to Powers Dynamos’ dominance at local level.Pay Master was a brilliant player who at times single handedly won games for Power.
I’m a “City ya Moto fan” and I remember Kelly’s heading in a late goal that won Power, the Mosi Cup in the mid 90’s.The final score at independence stadium was City 0 – Power 1.
Paper weight those days.
