Uganda arrive for Zambia showdown

Uganda have arrived for Wednesday’s frineldy against Zambia in Ndola.

The Cranes landed at 14h00 Zambian on Monday afternoon at Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport in Ndola on an Ethiopian Airlines flight from Kampala via Addis Ababa.

Uganda Coach Micho Micho Sredojevich arrived with two thirds of his contingent from Kampala and joined two foreign-based players who had already made their way to Ndola earlier on Sunday and Monday.

Cranes first choice goalkeeper Dennis Onyango arrived earlier on Monday morning from his South African based at Bidwest Wits.

Cranes captain and defender Andrew Mwesigwa of Ordabasy in Kazakhstan was the first player arrive in Ndola on Sunday.

However, striker Geoffrey Massa from University of Pretoria FC will miss the friendly due to injury.
Meanwhile, coach Micho said he was hoping for a good game against Zambia.

“In football especially when you are coming to a country of this magnitude Zambia, for me is one of the pillars of African football,” Micho said.

“I am not one to belong to that group one of those coaches who come to the airport and threaten you but we shall do everything possible in order offer a proper tactical approach to the game and we do the best on the field of play and get a proper result.”
