The defeat of the motion by the Patriotic Front ” compelling government to provide a road map to the constitution making process” confirms to all Zambians that PF has legally and formally refused to give the constitution to the Zambian people as promised.

President Sata has written the final words of the PF tombstone.

This singular act gives Zambians the moral right to force government to deliver the constitution using other assertive democratic means.

We call upon the church, civil society, political parties and all Zambians to rally together to demonstrate that a lying government will never be allowed to take hold in Zambia.

As Parliament rose sine die yesterday, we would like to thank our gallant members of parliament for providing leadership in this national fight. We promise not to disappoint you. We are determined to use all possible means to get our constitution. We are ready to pay any price to achieve our goal.

This is an act of moral failure by President Sata. He promised Zambians a new constitution with a view of deceiving Zambians. Last night, he made a U- turn without any remorse. This singular act, confirms my long held view that morality is the answer to the equitable delivery of goods and services.

The last crusade to get our constitution using “other means necessary” starts today.

President, MMD

    • The people of Zambia must unite and adopt the linked one by the Zambian Watchdog. Lusaka Times should also run the linked New Constitution by ZWD so that people can referendum on its contents.
Shocking that PF members are not shocked with their lies, especially on having the 90 days people driven constitution and more money in peoples pockets. Pathetic First is all about PF. Shame to PF, a party of lies, by the liars and for pathological liars, nothing else.Zambians must wake up before its too late, because because by 2016 , I suspect Pathetic First (PF) will by then put their rigging machinery in place.
Open your eyes wide shut open, PF is a menace of democracy.

  1. just as pf is refusing and has disappointed nevers mumba should be last person to get disappointed and it is disgusting to say this, why didnt he say this when he was in mmd and indeed when he vice president,i hate pipo who pretend, mmd to the dust bin now infact mmd you have put us in this mess, dont complain cause you failed us lamentably to hell with you

    • @humanity -Pray tell which party did Sata belong to at the height of corruption in Zambia? You seem to have selective amnesia. Sata ,Guy Scott et al are the ones who failed us.Who was Minister of Finance when Zambia started experiencing serious financial constraints- non other than current Minister of finance Alex Chikwanda.I hope your children and grandchildren will forgive you for voting PF and taking our nation backwards.

    • @x-moma. I really don’t think humanity is writing to support PF in place of MMD rather to bamomebene (MMD just the same as PF -). MMD had a rare opportunity to sort things, we are in a mess, because of their greed and selfishness.

    • You do not know what you are talking about sir/madam, and you do not know why Nevers Mumba was fired. Keep quiet, you are irritating us. We want a constitution.

  2. Apapene ba PF sure? We had high hopes. Now you are like ulubalala ulwabola ulo abantu bafwisa – ku thunya.

Come 2016, Zambians will be so fatigued by President Sata and PF that at the votes, hopefully, people will spit them out.

  3. GOVERNMENT LOST THE MOTION! WHO LOST WHAT?

PLEASE LT PROVIDE US WITH ACCURATE VERSION OF PARLIAMENT EVENTS.

YOU TOLD US THE OPPOSITION MOTION WAS PUT TO A VOTE…AND THAT THE MOTION FAILED TO PASS.
NOW YOU ARE TELLING US THE GOVERNMENT LOST THE MOTION! HOW?

    WHAT IS THE TRUTH?

  4. @ GUNDIXY

    YOU FRUSTRATIONS ARE NOTED.
IF PEOPLE WILL SPIT THIS GOVERNMENT OUT WHO THEN WILL BE THE ALTERNATIVE?

MMD? THEY TRIED THEIR LUCK FOR 20YEARS.
UPND? THE LEADER DESPISES MY TRIBE WITH SUCH DESPICABLE DIATRIBES, “We people from North Western Rhodesia should unite. If we give power to these Bembas, we’ll never get it back?” ARE WE NOT PART OF ZAMBIA?

    • Luapula Premier,
You speak wisely here. UPND, HH LOVE you most all from the north/Luapula since you spice Zambia . HH was just making a cousinship joke with Lozis in Kaoma. Reconcile with UPND,HH in your heart so that we move together to reorganize and re-unite Zambia, Please NDALOMBA.

  5. Definitely, the issue of the constitution can be thrown into the back seat by the PF government today but very soon in 2016, it will be the decisive issue for voting a party into government. MMD failed already for 20 years to give us the constitution.

    • The PF government may have won a battle in the Parliament, but surely that battle victory is hollow given that that single act will make them lose the war in 2016. Incredible how the PF fail to look at the Grand picture. To them snap shots are sufficient as opposed to looking at the panoramic shot.

  6. Hihihihihihi! What are these guys wearing?!
Any how, what has the president actually said over a date line if any? Has anyone any idea or indication of say in two or three months time it will be released or there is no indication of any kind at all?
At one point I thought it was going to be released around February, now am not sure any more. Am actually lost… has he said (the president) he will forget about the new constitution and stick to the old one or is he asking for more time? What’s the real situation? Because I think we are getting from monotony to dangerous waters at moment!

    • @clutchplate ask Sata why he opposed the N.C.C during the MMD reign. The oppostion parties rejected some clauses in the draft constittution and because Rupiah Banda was a listening president-who by the way did not seek to gain more seats in parliament through nullifications, the constitution was rejected. I place blame on the late Levy Mwanawasa who had ample time to see this into completion. Now the ball is in the courts of the most useless government to ever grace Zambian soil.

  7. Twebeniko fwebali ukutali. What happened? Was the motion by PF? I thought it was by UPND. Thats what another unreliable-yes unreliable- website media called Tumfweko reports. So which is which?

  8. The current MMD leadership can’t be blamed on the constitution. PF is to blame because yesterday’s MMD is today’s PF. A crocodile is always a crocodile – in water or out.

  9. @exmoma u re hopeless. So u want to PF alone?Other MPs also voted against motion whts yr problem?Being moma is challenge
