Wynter Kabimba, when he paid a courtesy call at his office in Chipato
A Lusaka based non governmental organisation has raised the validity of ruling PF Secretary’s General Wynter Kabimba’s country wide tours when there are urgent national issues such as the New Republican Constitution to be worked on.
Youths for Transparency and Integrity (YTI) executive director Bright Muchima says Mr. Kabimba, who is also Justice Minister, should stop his countrywide campaigns and concentrate on the release of the second and final draft constitution.
Mr Muchima said the monies being used by Mr. Kabimba and his entourage could be used on the constitution issue.
He added that the Patriotic Front (PF) secretary general should as well honour the promise he made during the constitution summit organized by SACORD to release of the draft constitution before cabinet.
Mr Muchima said Mr Kabimba should also be busy attending to issues surrounding the undemocratic peace of legislature called the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Act.
He said it is illogic for the Patriotic Front secretary general to be travelling instead of holding dialogue with stakeholders over the NGO Act.
Mr Muchima said Mr Kabimba should be organizing meetings pertaining to where the national referendum will be discussed.
He said that it is sad to note that Mr Kabimba is preoccupied with campaigns for his party ignoring issues that matter to the Zambian people.
Efforts to get Mr. Kabimba to comment on the matter were un successful by broadcast time.
However, the ruling Party Secretary General has stated that the decisions he makes are on behalf of the Republican President Micheal Sata who is the supreme leader of the ruling party and Head of State.
Mr. Kabimba is reported in the local media today to have said that he works for President Sata and acts on his behalf both in government and party affairs.

The issue is not if he can go wherever he wish at his or his party expense but the matter is that he cannot go anywhere on his own or his party business using State resources campaigning for “one party” State.
After all, he has taken “Oath of Office” where he stated that he will defend Constitution!!!

These questions being asked by the youths don’t help my learned colleague, turned politician, to dissipate the woes that still lingers around him. If it’s true he will leave politics when ‘the old man’ goes may be he can carry on the way he is going with lack of judgement. But if he actually intends to stay on, like they always do until they reach the highest office, he might want to sit back and give more thought to the moves he is making. I believe Kabimba has the smartness, afterall his was one of the key people to get PF into office, he was also useful in the Chiluba MMD.

Kabimba looks like a village headman. I don’t understand why there such dirt chairs in that office. Vima sofa sure! buy decent chairs i.e, simple chairs but nice not these ones in which Kabimbya sinks in and looks like a kapitawo wapa farm. Kambwili entering in any competition with Kabimba will be ill-placed ill-timed and tantamount to digging his own political graveyard. He needs to learn from GBM who Kabimba collapsed on like a tonne of bricks. Kabimba is part of the A-TEAM of PF. In addition Kambwili is to fat, the fatnesss that annoys the Head of State of the Republic (I now also know why the president did not fight GBM’s corner during his rows with Kabimba, because he is too fat).

No State Funds are being used for these campaigns. Someone is working with some crooked Chinese to deforest huge tracks of land in Rufunsa and shipping out thousands of tonnes of timber illegally.
That is why Simuusa was removed as Lands Minister. He had started to step on some sensitive toes. New Minister of Lands does not even know what is going on. He is always out of the country.

Kabimba’s tours are very important. he is trying to bring sanity to confusions in the party. Eastern province as you might be aware was riddled with alot of indiscipline. Without discipline in the party, even the draft constitution will be affected. As for the tax payers money, PF are very professional. Winter is principled rest be asured that he is using the party funds on his tour.

Eastern province has always been a difficult breeding group for any party in power. It’s the only province that knows the deception of political systems.
