VICE President, Guy Scott has told  Parliament today that he will have to seek clearance from State House to permit members of Parliament to visit President Michael Sata.

Dr Scott as leader of Government business in the House was responding to UPND Kalomo MP, Request Muntanga who requested that the MPs be allowed to visit President Sata as they had taken oaths of allegiance to the Head of State and to defend the Constitution.

Dr Scott said that he needed to seek clearance before the MPs could be allowed and that the time-frame would not be given as to when the visit could be facilitated.

“I need to seek clearance for the visit but there is no time-frame as to when this would be facilitated,” Dr Scott said.

Meanwhile, United Party for National Development (UPND) President Hakainde Hichilema has challenged government to explain the results of the alleged trip President Sata undertook to Israel .

[pullquote]“Since they said that President Sata had gone to meet investors in Israel, they are duty bound to explain to the country how fruitful the trip was.[/pullquote]

Hichilema maintained that the Presidency was a public and national property and whatever the President does must be communicated to citizens who are the ultimate employers.

“Since they said that President Sata had gone to meet investors in Israel, they are duty bound to explain to the country how fruitful the trip was.

But I know that demanding for results from the Israel trip is like extracting milk from a stone,” said Hichilema in response to a question from a journalist.

  1. Hi Guy Scott, I know you also are a blogger on this site. Tell me, was this photo taken today? LT didn’t indicate if this photo was file.

    Please answer to China.

    China waiting.

    • Why should they want to meet him

      He is working

These Mps have a vendetta and it must be condemned with the contempt it deserves

      Thanks

    • MP’s should have put a One Week timeline for him to either come out working or they visit him on his sick bed.

If that didn’t happen in a week, they then proceed with the motion of removing him on Medical Grounds. Why should we worry about this 77 year Old Man.

    • iwe Bantu! YOUR Sata is ill!!! maybe he was given a few days/months to live in Israel,,,, let him (YOUR Sata) enjoy his last moments on earth with his family

    • I am giving Scott and his PF minions exactly up to Thursday next week to clarify the issue surrounding the health of the president. Failure to do so we shall organise a mas protest in all towns against the PF for hiding and trying to kill our president.

Gents if the president does not show up by Thursday then prepare for a show down. I have boys on the ground who just require £50 per head to organise and spark it country wide.

THURSDAY NATIONAL PROTEST! THURSDAY NATIONAL PROTEST!

      IGNORE THIS AT YOUR PERIL!

    • @Ndobo, leave OUR Sata alone, he is not ill. He MAY be just sick, with some depression plus insoni. He is just kind of destitute now. And he is not going nowhere close to Heaven or Hell, we need such people who make us happy.
Scott, I need CLEARANCE as well, add my name 2nd from bottom.

    • gay scooter must be under heavy pressure to wade off all those questions, but he should exhibit character and stamina in his thoughts and tact by coming out clean and clear of the real status quo. why hide behind those blubbering like a baby. sometimes I want to feel pity for him but when I recall what his diarrhea mouth produces my stance changes

    • Interesting the way Guy Scott is going about gate keeping the Sata issues- Looks like no one and no one is able to take him or Matibini in head on collision. There are two sides to this issue- Sata is either recovering and will come out when in good shape- or Sata is dying and in the vegetative state- it all depends on how one looks at this issue- optimists and pessimists.

    • Lol,lol, lol, lol…….lolest!!! This is getting funnier by the minute! Seriously I am mow in stitches with laughter. Guy Scott has completely removed the sad aspect of this event that has befallen us. It will be the biggest scandal ever experienced in the history of Zambia. Zambian actors wake up! Here is a script writing itself. The movie will be titled
‘Presidential Siege’ The blurb goes like this. It’s 2014, a group of ministers under a foreign influential player take large sums of mafia money in order to sell a huge section of land in the middle of a protected wildlife park rich with uranium and diamonds. kamimba, a ruthless but sleek player comes up with a plan to embalm the recently deceased head of state and has the nation believe the president is on a resting holiday…

    • PF is an amazing party, the requirement of an MP being cleared as always existed. The question is what has changed now bwana Scott? Most likely you do not have an answer or explanation

    • Organize People to block entrance to Parliament Building on THURSDAY so that we are told the status in which the president is.
@WANZELU: This the best and quickest way to get results. Go Go Go Goooooo

  2. And who exactly is supposed to give clearance in State House considering the main occupant is now suffering from Senile Dementia?

  3. “Hichilema maintained that the Presidency was a public and national property and whatever the President does must be communicated to citizens who are the ultimate employers.”

He is not property of the nation, the office of the president is. We are to respect him to rest, but the office, led by the vice need to communicate his at the least talking.

    • azlight children of the ear!!!! the presidency should function no matter what. we created it as citizens through the enactment of a constitution which recognises this position as the chief executiveness if there is such a word. Whether the person occupying that position is functioning, healthy or not, the position should always function. so nganabalwala olo bali pa holiday ba mdala ifwe tulifwaya kateka be it acting olo bena. we need the presidency to be seen functioning and not hiding from its employers.

    • Mwanawakwitu – There is no clear distinction between your so called presidency and the president. Any person holding that office become public property, when there sick Zambians deserve to know.

If they can’t function as is the case now, there removed. That should be our next course of action.

    • I really don’t understand why a good gesture of visiting a depressed man can be denied. You know those MPs will ask him so many questions and there will be laughter in that State house. We miss his comedy.
      I need clearance as well.

    • @Saulosi
We chipuba we. Nshatalamona umubemba ichipuba ngaiwe. Ala twalikwishiba. Efyo wali na kusukulu–ichipuba.

    • @Nostradamus…are you sure there will be a lot of laughter ? Don`t worry he will soon address the nation@Sick Saulosi…give it a rest son. Insulting me won`t make you a better man. This just reflect how bad your parent are(or were) when it comes to parenting skills. Men who insults are weak. This shows that you can`t handle a debate. You can come out as bigger person in a debate if you phrase your words more maturely. If you respond with intelligent and assertive communication, you’ll get further than you will with vengeful immaturity. Empathy and patience gets you more places in arguments than sarcasm, insults and belittling. This says a lot about you as a person.Have a good weekend

    • @Saulosi
I may not like or agree with you but i just admire how you respond to people who insults you. This shows that you intimidate these people.Personally your comments don’t bother me but it surprises me to see how these people get intimidated and insults you.Never relent brother we need divergent views here too.Only a person with mental issues like the blogger above can insult people he or she does not agree with.

    • Iwe naiwe Sauloshi wilailanga ubuwelewele. We demand realities. If you do not have anything to help us with, lala chabe. Ciza uli?

  4. Guy Scott you are being such an !d!0t. To whom are you goin to ask for clearance? Why you yourself, the acting president tell me where M.C Sata is??
Stop wasting your time with explanations because we only want to hear what we want to hear.

    WHERE IS MICHEAL SATA???

    • @mushoti, it wouldn’t happen in Kenya – say not only Kenya but the whole of East Africa let alone East Africa, West Africa wouldn’t have it, In fact nowhere in Africa but Zambia.
This one is truly Made in Zambia!
      One Zambia One divided Nation!
***Brebner Changala has done well and his case has to be followed up closely by the citizenry and the outside international observers. This is a case of the People vs The State and our guidelines are enshrined in the constitution. It’s a no brainer who will win this case going by the bungling Guy Scott led cabinet when the so called Acting President is drawing a salary of an Acting President but nothing to show for it. Remember the movie, The Presidential Siege? Things are heating up now as the Mafia have landed to start their operations…..

    • …As the people demand to see the President, Kamimba seeks help from the Mafia on how to convince the gullible people of Zamunda that the president is well and working hard at State House. The Mafia easily invade the sentry who are drunk on Super Kajirijiri and fast asleep – the command centre is run by Kamimba but the Army and Home Security are not taking orders from Kamimba, There is a total breakdown of communication and this suits Kamimba as the Mafia operations at State House will be smooth following the confusion in Zamunda. This country is ripe and so rich in mineral resources some of which is unnoticed by the State of Zamunda but the foreign influence operating in country. The plan for the mafia is to mechanise the expensively embalmed corpse of the former president of Zamunda.

    • …The Chinese and the Japanese are queueing up to showpiece their technology of inserting a voice box in embalmed corpses with real previously recorded voices of the dead. The Chinese win the tender as Kamimba favours them and they want to do a good job to reek revenge on the late former ruler who implicitly despised them. The Mafia shake hands with the Chinese and Kamimba gives them a room in state house’ underground tunnels. The Mafia working with the Chinese will start sampling and coding previously recorded words spoken by the late president of Zamunda now perfectly embalmed in expensive Israeli oils going back centuries. The voice box now rich with the deceased’s on vocabulary is inserted back in the corpse and a high quality glass speaker is inserted in mouth of the corpse….

    • …The technology as you know is already here and in use on most top smartphones – you all know Siri in iphone right? You talk to him and he understands what you are saying and answers you back. Everything is now perfect and the test has be done successfully. Kamimba yells a sigh of relief and shouts loudly to Gaya Chikoti his accomplice in the cream noshing. It works! it works! he screams as he dances around shaking hands with the mafia and the Chinese underground scientists. The cobra can talk! Kamimba tries it time and again spending many hours and it works. He said let me try one last time before announcing to the general public that the president will take a few minutes from his busy schedule to say a few words to his people. Kamimba: “Mr president , what’s your name………..?”

    • …. President Saka of Zamunda: ” my name is Mike Charlie Sex Mwango Chilufyanya aged 77 but sometimes 74 or even 73 and my house address is number 1 State house on unindependent revenue p.o box RDA! I would like to thank my father and my mother and my parents for making me who I am.

Kamimba: “Excellent! we are ready to roll, Gaya Chikoti call for a press conference and invite the diplomatic corp to witness the press conference tomorrow morning at state house at 10:00hrs and should be shown on Zamunda National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) for all the gullible populace of Zamunda to see and then they will shut up whilst we mine the diamonds and uranium.

    • ****Press Conference Time*****

All gathered and some listening on their hand held radios and others glued to their TV sets are waiting to hear from the the head of state of Zamunda. Time is 09:59hrs.

At exactly 10:00hrs President Saka is unveiled standing at the podium looking radiant.
Kamimba: ” Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you president Saka – over to you Mr President”as Kamimba gestures to President Saka.

      President Saka: “Awe teine wamwipeye”

      ~ The END ~

  5. Where is mr winter? May be he can solve this dilemma that has befallen us since he is now acting president. Let him come out officially and address the nation on the innuendos and rumours flying high. If Sata is sick let him rest! We have a lot of credible men who can lead this great nation. This is not a kingdom.
In fact he shud just resign on health grounds. We don’t need him anymore!!!!!!!!!

  6. At one time during Kaunda’s era there was, “A night without a President” reportedly KK had wanted to resign, but alas now we have several several nights without a President and life still goes on. Donchi kubeba zo ona!

  7. @ Diligintwe 11 For sure our Acting President is docile. I wonder which UNZA Kabimba went to.

OVER THE ‘CRY OF DR GUY SCOT:

TheClause is just ok. Even if we r in a Dilema will leave the clause the way it is. Guy Scott is the last of those to live of the ‘old era’.

Only PATRIOTIC ZAMBIANS are to lead. If u want to ENJOY IN EUROPE or so forth be a Citizen of the country u ve chosen to live in.

Zambia is for PATRIOTIC ZAMBIANS full STOP !!!

  8. Thats what upnd is made of. their dream has come true . just hear how much they are gloating over a dying man. And their HH is so desperate for presidency just for his own greed because he wont even have the powers to influence the laws in parly. Yet he will get all the benefits that go with plot 1 after his 2 yrs in power. Truelly HH is can win the pending bye election by default BUT COME 2016 , he will go like vapour.

    • Yes! sata was lumpen, but we expect upnd to believe in a maner befitting some one that has been in lecture theatre. The sata debate should not border on sadism any more. Let him go peacifully. We have hammered him enough.

    • You are the reason PF is viewed as a bunch of retards who are full of hatred. And it is your hate against other tribes that has caused your PF to be in this situation. PF`s end is nearing! Sata has no choice but to give in and step-aside on medical grounds.

    • @zambia polio
you mandingo, its easy, HH will work with MMD mps after going hungry for so longer they will be easy bait. even kambwili will cross over in the hope over buying time on his dubious acquisition of golf course as a farm

  9. What a crap of a vice-president. He`s been telling lies about Sata`s visit to Israel, and now the lies have quickly caught up with him. Thank God the end of PF Government is nearing. Sata has no choice but to resign on medical grounds.

  10. Here comes my deductive reasoning from what Guy Scott is saying. True enough, the president is alive. Secondly, his condition is not good to ascertain long life. We as citizens, must treat this case like what goes on at ICU in UTH. Only close relatives have absolute access to the patient. Looking at it from another angle, if the president is dead, there would be no waste of time to inform the nation. One Zambia One Nation.

  11. LT, what’s the point using file pictures, smart journalists would have by now somehow smuggled ‘live’ pictures from state house or wherever he is hiding.
Here in the west there is no way a president/ prime minister can play hide and seek games.

  12. The well fed puppies from ZWD claimed to know where, what and how of Sata. Am suprised they are still asking. Has Sata beat you to the game again? Because honestly if they knew they wouldnt be asking… just saying

  13. SCOUT is right u don jst go to state house like dat there must be older.not as if its a animal farm where everyone can go n visit.

  14. This is the most incompetent administration in history…where is this empty tin going to get clearance? We all know the old man is embalmed and is no position to issue orders. Why are we wasting taxpayers money on an absentee President, a ceremonial veep and a bunch of useless ministers and pointless deputies not forgetting the useless District Commissioners?

    MHSRIP

    • Jay Jay the vp did not want to take a direct responsibility, that’s why he recused himself. You know what Sata can react angrily if he (Scott) allows any of these MPs to visit government house without his authorisation. The question that I can ask is where were the reporters and those MPs when Sata arrived at KKIA? where are the Pictures of him walking on the tarmac not red mat?

  15. Iwe Mushota, when will you ever learn to keep quite. Just continue doing what you do best……uku fiyompa ama bwamba yabasungu bachula mu diaspora….ati am married to umusungu……wakwa kayama wafiko..! get a life.

  16. Iwe musungu wa Sata don’t give us that BS about clearance in dictatorial PF leadership.Did you get clearance when your ancestors invaded us and took our land? Lets go to elections so we can remove ya.

  17. “Umutwe wamunobe chalo chimbi.” The truth is government will give us correct information at the right. Let us be patient and responsible.

  18. Repeated use of the same method will constantly yield the same results….
Zambian have asked cabinet to let H.E MCS, aka Charles Mwango Katongo, to appear before a public forum (and speak coherently while at that), to no avail. Need we keep depending on the tired, dysfunctional consciences of these people in cabinet and the ineffective Zambian system?
We all need to come together and GET the information, or just shut up.
There is no HOW the few persons in cabinet can suppress the desires of the over 14million ( less 1m foolhardy PF supportors) Zambians.
LETS FIND A NECESSARY WAY FORWARD PIPO- this is our only country. Shall we watch it disintegrate at the hands of a few self-centered characters?

  19. @One Hit Wonder……
Lol. breath of fresh air. Nice work

if Zambians really want the information on MCS’s status, they shud just get it, coz NOONE will freely give it.

Or are we all secretly dancing to and believing the once chipolopolo favorite and DJ Dazzles’ election day anthem “Donch kubeba wila lila…….”?

  20. Just once, only once, I’d like my VP to give a straight answer on any issue.
Just once. Is that too much to ask?

“But I cannot give an exact timeframe”, “… He’ll be gone for as long as it takes”
“The kwacha has been losing value since independence”.

As the VP, I expect him to give straight answers: “the president is too sick to execute his duties or to be seen in public”. Simple straight answer.

    Am I asking too much?

    #OneZambia

  21. Circus in Zambia, why should the PF hide MCS´s where about. Something is fishy here. People told lies from the very beginning. Zambians look Goerge Chellah this spokesman that is the only you will know how the president is and his where about.
