Opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) President George Mpombo has advised government to issue a comprehensive and detailed statement on President Michael Sata’s wellbeing in order to clear the skepticism surrounding the recently released pictures.
Chief Government Spokesperson Joseph Katema and the President’s aide for press and public relations George Chellah have both confirmed that the recently released pictures of President Sata chairing a Cabinet meeting on Monday are the recent pictures of the President.
But Dr. Mpombo said pictures are not enough to make people believe that the Head of State is doing fine and did indeed chair the said Cabinet meeting held at State House.
Dr. Mpombo told Qfm News in a telephone interview that unless government issues a statement on the said Cabinet meeting, people will treat any information from State House with a pinch of salt.
He said government should not continue handling the issue of the President’s wellbeing in an awkward manner.
Dr Mpombo added that government should also be mindful that it still owes the people of Zambia an explanation as to why the President’s arrival from his working holiday in Israel was not publicized.

State House will issue a statement on President Sata only when it’s absolutely necessary.
Sata is either dead or incapacitated beyond recovery. No other way. We are not f*&ls.

2. Mulenga Sata TELLS OFF Scott that he can stand as president too
3. Castrated (by Kabimba) Given Lubinda says he wants a PEOPLE DRIVEN CONSTITUTION despite Sata saying no one should talk about the constitution
4. Pompous George Chellah is now HUMBLE
5. He (Chellah) provides OLD PHOTOS of Sata in a cabinet meeting as prove that Sata is alive
6. First lady almost gives an OBITUARY of his husband to Zimbabwean paper
7. First lady loses her increasing public FLAMBOYANCE

This statement is not from Mpombo. Where are the bombastic words?
Well observed. This can not be George!
In a moment of lugubrious contemplation, Dr Mpombo has refrained from elucidating the points under debate until government elaborates on the current situation….
With all this brouhaha Mpombo not using even one single big word?! It’s true this can’t be him.
I agree, further more, if the cabinet meeting did indeed take place we were going to be subjected to another set of Sata’s stupld jokes about bold heads, big bellies and even someone getting chased out of that meeting. Remember Chikwand and Msiska were chased to go and reverse a certain Statutory Instrument on mining during similar meetings.
Mpombo is Dr. in what?
he has PhD in braggadocios and abracadabra
I am not sure the Zambian people will believe a mere statement if this says that Sata is well. What the masses of Zambian people want to see is the president addressing them. Only this will dispel the current rumours going round. I am not sure if Mpombo will be satisfied with a mere statement if this will confirm what government is currently claiming that sata is well and chaired a cabinet meeting last Monday. We need to see our president address us live on National TV or at least swear in attorney general
