Zambia winger Clifford Mulenga has joined South African Premier Soccer League side Ajax Cape Town.

Mulenga, who played for Mpumalanga Black Aces last season, has been handed a one year deal after passing trials at the Cape Town based club.

“It feels good to sign for Ajax Cape Town, it wasn’t my best year last season playing for Black Aces and Ajax have given me the opportunity to prove myself again,” he told kickoff.com.

Mulenga targets to score goals and help the Urban Warriors win trophies.

“Ajax is a young team and I look forward to fitting in well here. I want to help them win games, score goals and win a trophy or two again,” Mulenga said.

The forward added that he is looking forward to playing under coach Roger de Sa again following their stint together at Bidvest Wits.

“I’m definitely keen on playing for coach Roger de Sa, he is a good coach. He brings out the best in me and I look forward to working under him,” Mulenga said.

  1. And Clifford did you hear that the all the French coaches left Zambia, and the new coach “The Hand” Janza is recalling all good players? Nyambe, Justin, and Singuluma are back in team.
