Nkana’s reputation on the line at Zanaco

Share

Defending champions Nkana on Saturday face leaders Zanaco away at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka in a key FAZ Super Division showdown with ten games to go before the 2014 title is decided.

Zanaco are 14 points ahead of fifth placed Nkana with 19 and 18 games played respectively.

The Bankers lie-in-wait for Nkana into Sunset Stadium seeking revenge after losin 2-0 in the first leg match played in Kitwe on June 18 at Nkana Stadium.

Nkana’s title defence campaign so far has raised questions owing to the team’s erratic display in the league which has seen them lose four times.

Furthermore, coach Beston Chambeshi has so far found success in the CAF Confederation Cup after three games in charge.

Nkana have pulled off some big kills in Africa with wins over Etoile du Sahel and Al Ahly but Chambeshi is still to win in the league after losing 2-0 at home against Napsa Stars on August 2.

Meanwhile in Ndola, second placed Zesco United hopes to continue piling pressure on Zanaco when they host struggling Roan United at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Third placed Power Dynamos are away to Green Buffaloes in Lusaka praying hard to end their two-game winless run.

Napsa visit Mazabuka to take on Nakambala Leopards while Indeni hosts Green Eagles in the 13h00 kick-off match at Levy in Ndola.
