  1. MHSRIP. Can’t believe it’s been 6 years already.I remember being in shoprite and peoples cell phones started ringing a once with people relaying the news.It was a sad day.

    • While Sata who died on 20th of June 2014, is hooked to a machine in Israel with a hope that one day he will wake up.

    • Although I personally think Mr Sata is a better president, I would like to
wish the Mwanaasa’s a ‘get strong’ and put prayers and live the legacy of Mr Mwanawasa, MHSRIP

By the way, anyone knows websites to buy cars and export to Zambia without paying tax?

      Thanks

    • RB wept 6 years ago.
6 years ago Sata was chased by Maureen in Chipata, because Sata started campaigning by following Levy’s body to provinces.
That man Sata had/has no manners.

    • The question is: WHO KILLED LEVY? Shameful that we keep an audible silence about this. A president dies in a foreign country under dubious circumstances and life goes on as usual? We should be ashamed, bane!

    • Simbilingani wa Libongani

      You an *****t

A stroke can kill you, You probably think all your family members do not die, they are ‘killed’
      You witch!

People like you should stripped of their right to leave because you are an empty vessel, ignorant, knowing your mother but never care to respect humankind

      Obnoxious comment, apologies now

      Thanks

    • No headline is misleading it should read “on this day the powers that be finally had the courage to tell the Zambians what the Zambians already suspected their President had died’, thanks to people Like Dr. Brian Chituwo who refused to continue to lie to the people. MHSRIEP Levy made his contributions humble as they might have been.

    • @Jst
It is indeed your opinion indeed. Sata called him:
      – Cabbage
      – Ishilu
      – Mwana-waya
      – King Muwelewele
So in my opinion… anyway, I leave it for Saulosi.

  2. Just wondering if UPND will ever exist after 2016. am seeing a lot of squabbles within UPND to who takes over affairs of the Party after so many embarrassment from HH?????????????????

    • I think your talking about PF and you are afraid that your friends will report you PF top minions if you mention PF.

  3. This was a great son our our soil, he managed to put value to our kwacha and gave it a face on the global market hence it being one of the currencies monitored in the world. We thank you sir for the great honest job you did this country and generations to come.

  4. He was man for all people .he stood by our side,I remember during his rule I bought a 380 litre fridge from Radiun stores in Ndola at k1500 only rebased now.The prices was very low such that even those earnings low was managing.MHSRP

  5. Indeed he was a great Leader of Zambia… We always remember and miss this great man until we meet on other side!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MHSRIP.

  6. Iwe ka Mushota, either you’re suffering from chronic amnesia or perhaps you’re just a blind PF follower. How can you say Sata that is a better president than Mwanawasa? Your mother and father will tell you that Sata will go as the worst president this country has ever had. Even Sata and Fred M’membe himself can confess that Mwanawasa was in a league totally different to SATA. A lawyer compared to a Grade 7 drop out? That`s why there is a lot of try and error kind of govt and you say he is better.
God has taken it upon himself to punish the snake we put in state house. Keeping calling it great and hope you`re the first it swallows through it`s bad leadership. Oh I forgot you’re in the comfort of other people`s had work abroad. So shut up and don’t comment on matters you know little…

  7. He reduced foreign debt from US$7billion to less than half a billion. Now it is going back towards 7billion

  8. Jst Saying,

I share your opinion. So far no president has beaten the qualities that LPM had. He did not tolerate cadres, no misuse of resources by ministers, the dollar was only K1980(unrebased), all those civil servants that had trekked to Botswana came backs they could afford to buy cars even at home. I miss you levy. You worked for mother Zambia. Immediately you died, RB sold the country to the Chiluba clique and everything turn 180 degrees. How I wish Maureen Mwanawasa could take over from Sata!

RIP HELP Mwanawasa (His Excellency Levy Patrick).

  10. …..MHSRIP

…we shall adopt and consider the 19/08/2008 since that is what is officially documented. Mulongoti strongly refuted earlier allegations from BBC and SA radio 702 saying… ‘he has not died, in fact he is in a stable condition…’ and assured us that ‘he will be well’….bla bla bla…..typical of Zedian politicians playing …’hide and seek’…similar to exact scenario we are currently witnessing..

  11. I miss you Levy I remember I bought my first car when the dollar was 3,000. I am failing to replace it with a new one because the dollar is unbearable.

  12. MHSRIEP.

A great President He was. by the way under his leadership the Kwacha was so strong that at some point it was K2850.30 Kwacha unrebased to a Dollar or K2.85 Kwacha rebased. I miss this man.

  13. Time flies RIP . He was a man of peace, charisma and great intelligence, dearly missed by many. God bless Zambia.

  14. Though mortal like all of us, late president Levy Mwanawasa stands uniquely different from the lot we have had so far, as Republican Presidents. The first was thick-headed and drunk with power. The second came with whelping appetite to loot and denude as though Armageddon had been rescheduled to take place soon after his tenure. Nichekeleniko was the buzzy word then. How horrifying that was.

Then came Levy Mwanawasa. He wasn’t perfect. Though human, however, he used power judiciously. Development started to trickle. How sad, he had to leave us sooner than later!

What followed soon after Levy’s departure left everyone baffled. The new president recruited his own children to do a clean sweep in broad day light. And now, it’s DONCHI KUBEBA. Things are worse than ever.

  15. I remember this day so well.I was so hear broken he died too soon I miss my dear President. But I thank God that he reconciled with those that he differed with and asssured that resting in eternal peace

  16. I remember @ beginning of 2008 buying 25kg mealie meal in shoprite @ ZMK 33,980 (ZMW 33.98), now I buy it @ K72. I bought 2kg sugar @ K6.50 now I buy it @ K16. I paid for my ACCA exams @ ZMK 5,950/GBP 1 (ZMW 59.50/GBP 1) now I paid @ K10.40/GBP 1. Wish I had cleared ACCA then. I also miss the press conferences
