Janza to crack whip?

Share

Zambia coach Honour Janza has promised that the days of automatic places in Chipolopolo’s starting XI are over.

Janza has been put under-pressure to crack the whip after below par displays by the teams veteran players in the two 2015 AFCON qualifiers that has seen the team pick up just one point from two Group F games.

“This time around selection will not be automatic, both local and foreign based players that will be selected based on their performances at their clubs,” Janza said.

“When we call the locals we just don’t pick we select those that are making an impact at their clubs and have something to offer as the National team.”

Meanwhile, the 13-home-based team including Russian-based midfielder entered second day of training in Lusaka on Friday.

Zambia take on Niger on October 11 away and October 15 in Ndola.

Third placed Zambia are five points behind leaders Cape Verde while Mozambique are second with two points.

Niger are bottom tied on one point with Zambia.

  1. Ba Lusaka times ,do you realise that you are the only one without a search Engine on your website, even kantemba Tumfweka has one.Quiet shocking i must say this.

    • Yes Zamfoot, best website is gone.
I think its because Zambian football has become so boring with that dull coach. Only under PF, during the RB such a coach couldn’t be employed.

  2. Janza we warned you about being used . We told you that you will be in the line of fire alone as it is happening now. I hope it’s not too late for you.

  3. So what is he saying? Was selection automatic last time…such utterances always leave me with less confidence in the caliber of this Janza; given that alot of money was spent of air tickets for foreign based players. How is he going to know the performance of foreign based players has he got scouts there or will he read online like the empty suits at FAZ.

We are not going anywhere wake up from your docility people!!

  4. Who is HONOUR JANZA? The name doesnt sound Zambian? If he is zambian then he should be a tonga because of the “H” oK WHOEVER he is it seems he is a spokesperson of the National team because our Coach can’t speak english. He has called 13 LOCAL TEAMS to select only 11 players ??? Also why can u depend on club performance, call the players in time and let them have friendlies , pick from such games. By the way today is 5th Oct, why u havent left for NIGER?? NIGER is very far CAPE VERDE IS MUCH NEARER IT TAKES 2DAYS BY AIR

  5. Please Janza as Zambians we need coaches who can deliver & not u.Frankly speaking the Zambia ‘Chipolopolo’ is 2 big 4u.Friendly advise, jst resign 2 maintain ur CV. b4 u are fired by the same chaps

  6. Poor travel arrangements in the past has costed Zambia’s chances of winning the games. Tired legs asked to run after a long haulage. They could have beaten Ghana and Cade vede if the team was acorded an earlier arrival, one day off for resting purposes.
