Kitwe Utd refuses to give up promotion quest

Share

Kitwe United coach Paul Mulenga says Chingalika are still in the race to win promotion to the FAZ Super League.

Seventh placed Kitwe have 40 points from 28 games and are 13 points behind Division One North leaders Forest Rangers.

But Mulenga said the Buchi Boys can win promotion to the elite league.

He said the results Kitwe will register in the remaining matches would decide their fate regarding promotion.

“We have to continue fighting up to the end. It is not too late,” Mulenga said.

“It comes to the next game against Mufulira Blackpool, we have to fight hard so that we can finish on a good position or win promotion,” he said.

Mulenga said inexperince was costing his side.

“I have a good side but we are lacking experience,” Mulenga said.

Kitwe were relegated from the Super League in 2006.

  1. Ba Mulenga stop wasting our time and day dreaming. How can you win promotion when you are that low on the table with few games to go? You are now blaming lack of experience as the reason the team is failing to perform, what will happen when this same team wins promotion? Just stay where you are and reorganise.
