Legend Kaushi endorses Janza for permanent Zambia deal

Zambia legend Simon Kaodi Kaushi says interim coach Honour Janza should be given a permanent deal after qualifying Chipolopolo to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

Janza has so far posted four wins, three draws and one loss since taking over the Zambia top coaching job four months ago.

Kaushi, a 1974 Africa Cup silver-medallist, said Janza has shown that he is capable of leading the national team by securing AFCON qualification.

“He has done well so far and he should be maintained. You know he understands our national team traditions,” he said.

“He just need support from everyone. When he was employed I called him just to encourage him to work hard,” Kaushi said.

The ex-Mufulira Blackpool star believes local coaches are better placed to train Chipolopolo.

“Some of the foreign coaches who come to Africa they don’t even understand our football nor players,” Kaushi said.
