United Party for National Development (UPND) President Hakainde Hichilema has thanked the Members of Parliament who have endorsed him for the January 20th, 2015 Presidential elections at a media briefing held in Lusaka this afternoon.
Mr. Hichilema says the Members of Parliament who have endorsed him have demonstrated their love for Zambia as this is the king of leadership that will help unite the country.
Mr. Hichilema has promised to serve the people of Zambia fairly noting that he will not allow marginalization of any group of people as the case is.
He has urged the Members of Parliament to campaign vigorously if the UPND is to emerge victorious come January 2015.
And Lunte Member of Parliament Felix Mutati who is team leader for the Members of Parliament that have endorsed Mr. Hichilema says he is confident that Mr. Hichilema will provide leadership that will move the country forward in love, hope and unity.
Mr. Mutati also handed over a document signed by the Members of Parliament that binds them together as opposition parties.
And speaking earlier, Lumba Kalumba who is wife to Katele Kalumba says the people of Zambia are tired of the panga family and old men fighting for positions.
She has urged Zambians to give Mr. Hichilema a hundred percent support.
And veteran politician Vernon Mwaanga says he is sure that Mr. Hichilema will form an inclusive government which will deliver according to the people’s expectation
Not those useless endorsements say congrats to PF for a successful nationally represented convention.
Big congrats PF and EL for a popular and overwhelming support. Hope this popular democratic nomination by delegates from every part of the Zambia should teach HH competitive democracy. HH ascended to replacing late Anderson Mazoka on a Tonga decree that only a Tonga for UPND Sikota, Patrick Chisanga and Sichinga and all deputies to hell you are not Tongas to qualify. UPND for Tonga President anyone else, take our knock berries and spears.
Power belongs to the people at national level than tribe. The will of the people will always be supreme and prevail.
HH you just lost the elections. …the people’s choice Edgar is coming after you…

Zambia is insulated to the spirit spirit and agenda of Bantustan. Zambias are nationalist. A Party founded and long headed by a Bemba has become national open to the leadership of any other Zambian from another part. Not UPND’s Tonga for UPND resident doctrine.
Congrats PF and EL! The spirit of Bantustan is a regional and meant to be useful opposition but not ruling power.

You are indeed very correct. HH has nothing on Edgar Lungu. Mr. Lungu is a great lawyer that has been defence minister and justice minister. I would advise him to pick up general Miyanda and make that man minister of internal affairs.

HH will have to forego his pledge of having a lean cabinet/government if he has to have an all inclusive government. His pledge has been to have a cabinet of 15, I can’t see this happening with the alliance that he has forged with other opposition MPs. That is one election promise broken before winning the election. Same old politics and politicians with a different name.

Hichilema, keep doing what you are doing, but do not make false promises on taxation and local business empowerment you can never deliver. Be practical in your assessment of task at hand. Itemise and prioritise tasks. And please do not accept recycled hands I your new government. Lastly, drum up investment from Europe and China, to build up services and infrastructure…

As much as I would like HH to form the next govt, he must be careful with these endorsement. They will not buy him votes and those people cannot influence the populace to vote otherwise. Zambians have woken up and they understand the donch kubeba slogan. HH must just go flat out campaigning and pay less attention to those endorsements. Mwanga is a condemned and disliked man by many people who everyone see as a womanizer and a drug dealer and his endorsement may not be taken seriously.
