RB EXPOSED HIS GREED AND SELFISHNESS
We listened to the Hot FM Red Hot Breakfast Show of Monday, December 01 2014 which featured former President Rupiah Banda as a guest with shock, disbelief and sadness.
As the radio programme went on, it became apparent that Mr Banda was using the unique platform to again lie to Zambians about who he is and what he stands for.
What was however comforting is that Zambians know what Mr Banda is really made of . No amount of media propaganda will help him in that regard.
He told the breakfast show that he is here to help stabilise the nation, we find it hard to believe because it is very hard to believe any of his words.
In 2008, he pleaded to be adopted as MMD candidate after the death of President Mwanawasa saying he only wanted to finish that term and will not run in 2011. When 2011 came, Rupiah Banda was still on the ballot paper.
This is the same Rupiah Banda whom Zambians should not even tolerate by giving him a chance to return to State House. Rupiah Banda is the type that can change the constitution to allow himself to stay in office as long as he pleases.
Mr Banda was a student of Kaunda politics who believes in Wamuyayaya (forever) mentality. He wants to return to power so that he could rule us until he dies.
As MMD youths, we were also pleased that on the same programme, Mr Banda fully recognised our role as the Die Hard movement in the protection of the integrity of the party. When asked to comment on our activities as MMD Die Hard, Mr Banda was very open and admitted that we are a necessary force in the party.
The programme however offered us a chance to confirm what we have always suspected about Mr. Banda. When Hope & Chi, the two good Presenters asked Mr Banda what he would do if he loses the January 20 election, the old man proudly revealed that he would go back into retirement.
We were left baffled by that statement. For us it confirms that Mr Banda’s return to politics is merely for self preservation. He wants to use State House to launder his tattered public image and facilitate the return of his fugitive Son Henry.
It confirms that Mr Banda’s return is about personal benefits. He is surrounded by a group of people that are so desperate that they force an old, tired and retired politician back on the ballot paper.
On the same programme, Mr Banda made a call for MMD President Never Mumba to be truthful. We wonder who needs to tell the truth more between Dr Mumba, an anointed man of God and Mr Banda. Dr Mumba has exhibited high levels of personal integrity in the 30 years of his public life and the same cannot be said of Mr Banda.
Our observation is that MMD general membership must wake up and defend their party from these greed and selfish people.
The MMD was founded by genuine Zambians with higher levels of integrity that Mr Banda’s, Muhabi Lungu, Lucky Mulusa and Joe Mwale put together. When Zambians embraced the spirit of multipartism, Mr Banda and Muhabi refused to listen to the people’s will and defended UNIP until it lost the mandate to govern the people in 1991.
We therefore state that Mr Banda and his few supporters are destroying the MMD because they are not MMD members. These are UNIP Die Hards who are squatting in the MMD for selfish reasons. These people started their politics in the UNIP era when there was no constitutional order and they want to import the same practice into the MMD.
As MMD youths, we pledge to defend the constitution of our party. We will also defend the legitimacy for Dr Nevers Sekwila Mumba to stand as our presidential candidate. We are not anarchists but youths that wish the best for the MMD using our constitution.

Confusion in MMD and PF not in Zambia.
Please Read!! PF and MMD should not be allowed to delay the By-elections in January. Their confusion is NOT Zambia’s confusion. There is no chaos or confusion in Zambia, the Chaos and confusion is only in PF and MMD. Let us be clear about that!! UPND should not allow these idio!ts to try to delay the elections by any form of political dribbling. The Electoral Commission of Zambia should be put on alert that this Election will go forward without respect for who is ready and who is not ready. UPND should ensure that no injunctions against the By-Elections themselves are allowed. And finally, UPND should protect the votes of the people through international monitoring and parallel vote counting. Do not allow these Hooligans to dribble you because God knows they will try!!

The fungus that is destroying the PF is also in UPND. It is the One man show that is the spore that germinates in time and destroys these parties. All UPND leaders are not in parliament and those who are in parliament, majority are Tongas or from Southern Province. This will eventually destroy the UPND because ambitious people from other Provinces will jump on the gravy train. It has already started.
HH cannot form a Cabinet with UPND alone and he cannot pass laws without the support of other parties with the minority.
He may win but he will not rule.

RB does not mean well. As an elderly states man he should have read the mood of the nation now that it is going for younger people not again over 70 years. This is self inflicting of mental pain on the part of RB. Even if Nevers tumbles, it would be with dignity unlike RB. Anyway ,the use of street language in his campaign messages clearly shows the caliber of what we want to subject Zambia to. The handwriting is on the wall and people should not faint of fear as who would go ahead and vote for grand pa anyway? may be very few unknowingly. It is not too late for RB to change his mind. Go on campaigning Nevers.
I do not waste my time reading anything with the revulsive name Lusambo, whether he supports Nevers or RB.
Anybody who thinks he can ride on Lusambo’s statements is equally revulsive. Especially UPND cadres, they seem to think that any support is welcome. Guys, if you want Plot 1 that much check the quality of your supporters otherwise this chance will slip through your fingers, again. Votes count but be discreet about certain supporters.

Surely old Rupiah,do you really have a conscious and morals?You left MMD bleeding,nearly deregistration,compromised MMD MPs,low MMD popularity etc.After Nevers and his few loyal MMD Leadership put the MMD on an upward swing,then you come in through the back door with the help of Muhabi and Nyangu to disturb and bring confusion with mainly Eastern MPs,Wako ni Wako-Umodzi ku Mawa demonic attitude.God forbid,it won’t work.God is God of justice,and indeed justice shall prevail in this Nevers case.

@Beautiful momma, this is what threatens to destroy democratic behavior. The Tea party of the Republicans mercilessly go at their leaders when they need to criticize. I do not see any problem with what Bowman is doing…WITHIN HIS PARTY but on public radio. Go figure.

I can confirm that my vote and that of my family belongs to RB. The Tyranny of numbers is not on the side of HH. There is no way HH will win any elections in this our great Republic of Zambia
Mr Banda had his time. Dr Mwaanga is right, old leaders like Mr Banda must accept that their time is up. Dr Mumba should not accept to be sidelined using flimsy reasons being advanced by Muhabi Lungu and team! Asikulu pumulani!
As a young Zambian, the RB thing makes me feel like puking!
Look at Muhabi: when UNIP was dying he made a bad decision and supported KK. We wondered at him.
RB rescued him and gave him a job at ZDA. When RB was exting, he quit his job to support RB, another wrong decison!
This time around he wants to ditch Nevers (a sitting Party President) and maniupulates (with some men who pretend to have some brains) to install RB through the back door! The 3rd of Muhabi’s errors. The man will never learn

Muhabi’s behavior is analogous to a tick! A tick only leaves its host when the host dies (or when disinfectant forces the tick to jump ship). Enough said…

@Emmanuel, so your solution is to go for power regardless of principle, right? What does it hurt to not contest so you can work out a more coherent replacement under legitimate statutes of your party constitution? Go figure…
By the way @Emmanuel, substitutions in football use laid down football rules. The red card sorts out any attempt to bring in a striker whose ineligibility for any reason is ignored, even if he is considered to be the A-listed star… Go figure.
