God has a place prepared for you just like He prepared a place for His people in scripture. Notice that in this place God has prepared, there is no shortage — no shortage of resources, no shortage of opportunities, no shortage of creativity, of friendships, of joy and peace. In the good land, you will lack no good thing.
Anytime you are tempted to get down or look at what you don’t have, turn it around. Say, “Lord, I want to thank You that You are bringing me into my garden, a land of blessing, a land where my gifts and talents will come out to the full, a good land where I will fulfill my destiny, a good land where I’ll live healthy, happy and whole, a good land where my whole house will honor You!”

Father, help me to see with my eyes of faith the good land that You have prepared. Help me to walk in Your ways, to stay close to You, and honor You in all that I do in Jesus’ name. Amen!

For Nietzsche a recognition that God is Dead to his own generation of men and women ought to come as a Joyous Wisdom allowing individuals to lead less guilt-ridden lives in a world that was no longer to be seen as being inherently sinful. He considered that earthly lives could become more joyful, meaningful and “healthy” when not lived within narrow limits set by faith-related concerns for the state of an individual’s eternal soul.

Christmas began as a pagan ritual co-opted by Christians, similar to the way the Day of Rest in the bible was moved from Saturday to Sunday to appeal to the Sun god worshippers in the Roman Empire who were already taking Sunday off. Christmas wasn’t turned into the major deal it is now until the Victorians, and corporations, got hold of it. So basically, the reason for the season is that humans know they’re going to die so they make up and cling to stories about mythical afterlives to cope with that reality. Also religion is a good way to keep people in line and justify wars against non believers. merry Christmas!

@ Innocent and 4 Flag at one time I espoused the exact beliefs you embrace, but like one Derrick Prince who was a very educated man and an atheist, and later became one of the greatest preachers and authors of Christianity literature, I also became a christian, born again christian. My prayer is that one day your “eyes shall be opened”

If (as is 99.9999999% likely) there is no God, prayer is useless and is harmful when done instead of actually providing whatever real help you are capable of.
How do you know your God is the correct one? There are more than 30,000 distinct Gods defined in as many holy books. Most are mutually contradictory. They cannot all be true, but they can be (and I submit are) all false. Every one of those > 30,000 gods are worshiped by thousands to billions of people who believe they have the right god with the same fervor that you believe in yours. So sad that you think that of all the conceptions of God only yours is the one true God. What if you are wrong? What if there is no God and you are wasting your one and only life in damaging fear of His Wrath instead of making the best of the fantastically unlikely lottery you have won by simply being born? Religion, origin of most wars, death and destruction, all in the name of some God. So happy to be an atheist, at least I don’t have to be a hypocrite. and if anyone wants to pray or believe that is fine with me too. it is a free world (in most places) to pray or not to pray!
