We have observed with growing concern the continued use of late President Michael Sata’s chitenge material by one Edgar Lungu in his campaign.
The continued use of the former head of state’s portrait on Chitenge materials is totally uncalled for and must be condemned by all sectors of our society because it is a constant reminder to the late president’s family and the nation at large of the loss of the fallen leader.
The late president had a family and people who genuinely loved him who do want to be reminded of the late president death whenever they step in the streets hence the need for Mr. Lungu and the PF to remove these chitenges from the streets.
We are aware that Mr. Lungu wants to use the late president by invoking emotions of sympathy among our people but we know that the people will not fall such cheap political gimmicks. If Mr. Lungu is so fond of the late president why hasn’t he put the head of Mr. Sata on the bill boards and posters littered around the country?
If Mr. Lungu can hire choppers and other planes, as he has been doing, to fly around the country for campaigns then he surely can afford to print chitenges with his portrait on it.
We urge the people to see through this cheap political ploy and ensure that they do not use their emotions when they go to cast their vote on 20th January 2015 so that we put an end to this uncaring government which has brought so much chaos and suffering in our beloved Zambia.
Mr. Lungu, can you stop hiding in the shadows of the late president and be your own self. Show the people that you are not priding in the dead. We believe you do not have anything to offer just like reported in the media that ‘you do not have a vision’ hence your hiding in Mr. Sata’s name.
We can assure you that whatever the means you use, you will not be able to win the masses because they have already made their minds. Not even a sympathy vote will get you into State House.

Too late Edith there’s already chitenge with Edgar on it although there’s Sata as well. As PF members and family of late president we have no problems with it as we are doing in honour of him. The reasons why i can vote for Pf in my right mind:
1. They have the worst candidate in the name of Lungu,
– Visionless, Lungu has no plan & program for this our great nation and he has said himself.
– InCompetence, Lungu is incompetent to run the country’s affairs & the economy at large, he has no record of personal success in terms of wealth management. Zambia should emulate countries like Kenya where the president has run farms, corporation etc. No more room for leaders who want to enrich themselves.
2. PF as a party lacks integrity- pf is a bench of liars & they flourish on Bufi as a party, they have lied the Zambian people on many issues imagine Sata just died without getting sick bcoz pf continued saying that the president was well and discharging his duties in…

Am in the copperbelt & will vote for a capable leader not a leader without a VISION but with a vision & he has proved his capabilities at his personal level. If he has done it with his head alone what more when he combines with the heads of people like Mutati, Nalumango, Dr Banda, Kapita, Percy Chanda, Mwanawasa, Milupi, Adrew Banda, Mtolo, Mr Phiri, DR Lungwangwa the list is endless.
