PF President Edgar Lungu has stated that all outstanding issues affecting the Chitimukulu chieftaincy will be resolved.
Speaking when he met Paramount Chief Chitimukulu at Chitimukulu in Mungwi District, Mr. Lungu said his role was to enhance good relations between government and traditional authorities.
He said Chiefs in the country were custodians of people’s interest and concerns.
He said he decided to pay a courtesy call before venturing into the campaigns.
Mr. Lungu was accompanied to the Palace by Minister of Finance, Alexander Chikwanda, PF Chairperson Inonge Wina, Member of the Central Committee, Samuel Mukupa, Northern Province Minister, Freedom Sikazwe, Kasama Central Member of Parliament, Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba.
And the Bemba Royal Establishment (BRE) known as Bashilubemba expressed concern that the recognition of Henry Kanyanta Sosala as Paramount Chief Chitimukulu had taken long.
And the Bashilubemba expressed concern that online newspapers had reported that Minister of Traditional Affairs Minister Nkandu Luo was going to be appointed as Vice-President.
The Bashilubemba accused Hon. Nkandu Luo of failing to help resolve disputes in chiefdoms.
But the PF President stated that he has not chosen, discussed or even thought about whom he should appoint as Vice-President in the event that he won the upcoming elections.
He said that his primary focus was to concentrate on the issues affecting the people of Zambia and his campaigns.
